Hard to resist visiting a Totoro-themed ramen shop with cute sushi stickers plastered on the window by the entrance. The idea of a hot bowl of ramen also sounded perfect for a rainy day in Edinburgh.

Spicy Red Chili Ramen: dashi, chicken broth, red chili, beef tataki, egg, narutomaki, nori (£14.95).
While the broth itself was solid, the beef was overcooked and tough to chew. Only a single leaf of bok choy was given too. The ramen had a mild to medium spice level with a ton of noodles that had a good consistency.

We had a Tuesday reservation for 1 PM. Only a couple of seats were taken upon arrival. Our table by the window had nice lighting, but the restaurant is positioned right in front of a bus stop, so at times caught a whiff of those smoking outside. A 10% service charge is added to the bill. read more
