The lady at reception was so friendly and helped me feel less anxious right away! The team in the mri room kept me so relaxed and talked to me during it which made me not feel alone. He jsut asked me if alians are controlling my mind, if the TV is talking to me and if I have thoughts of killing people, then he increased my anitdpresants and sent me on my way. Thats not what I went there for. Waste my time and cost me a day off work for nothing

No communication around delays or what to expect. Nurse couldn't find a vein in 3 places. I'm black and blue. When she did find one she lost it and then explained she didn't know if she had finally found one. The surgeon would know when they tried to sedate me. 5 hours after arriving I got to theatre. No apologies nothing and a mouth piece put in. I'm fasting no food or water and sedative is administered. Felt nothing and tried to let the surgeon know but the nurse pushed my head down told me not to move or try speaking.... In recovery and removed everything myself bar the cannula. No one came near me. They almost forgot to take bloods again before I left. Private hospital????

They are usually so…read moreuninterested and keen to write out scripts, that I never feel like I've done some good spending with my 50 - 70 yoyos. Went here for the first time earlier, and was greeted with the friendliest GP I've ever come across. She sat down beside me and just listened, then chatted with me as if she were a friend, offered solid advice and many options to suit me, and was even eager to save me money on a few things. Besides this, when I arrived in the centre, I had to wait a max of 3-4 minutes before being seen. The place is smack bang in the middle of Smithfield, so really easy access-wise, and it's pretty brand new, so nice and bright, airy and clean looking. Overall, my visit gave me full confidence in their abilities, something I'd very rarely say about any visit to a GP centre!

I am nervous as you can imagine. Nobody likes to have a needle stuck in them. Well, me neither. But everybody is very kind and comforting. Never had this before in any medical centre I visited. 1* For the reception : as I come in, I announce myself to the girl at reception. I come here for Physiotherapy and find it very good. It's a 30 min consultation and costs €50 which…read moreis not too bad, and they treat a lot of conditions including biomechanical, sports injury, ergonomic etc. The physiotherapist I see is also very good and clear in explaining and showing me the exercises which I found very effective. I would highly recommend it. The only drawback is that they don't have any of the modalities like Ultrasound or Shockwave therapy that you find in bigger clinics. The great thing is that Hanover Medical is open late until 7pm mon-thurs, which is really convenient as I tend to finish college late and most practices close at 5 or 5:30 while most people work until 5. Appointments are not too hard to get, usually you can get one a day or two ahead but same-day appointments depends in the day. The clinic is really clean and modern and the receptionists are quick to reply to appointments. I emailed the night before and got a reply the following morning for a morning 10:30 appointment. I saw Dr. Sheila Byrne who was very nice and thorough with the consultation. I only waited 15 mins for my appointment which is ok compared to my previous gp where I'd usually wait 1 hour. The only drawback is price, where anything extra costs. The GP fee range is €60-120, in that there is a charge for extended consultation in addition to the standard fee of €60, so no chit-chat here. Bloods are done by the nurse and not the doctor, so a separate appointment is needed but they are open early from 8am which is convenient for fasting bloods. The pill renewal is only €30 with the nurse which is great and very quick as I don't think many other practices have that.

I love doctor Rogers, she is like the sweetest and the softest doctor ever, she really makes me feel that she cares. I kinda feel like coming back there just for her. But the fact that they don't send the blood test results over email, and you have to come pick them up in person, is like SO OLDSCHOOL. More than that, at first they refused to give me my results unless I have another appointment with the doctor. Then they changed their mind and I got my results, but the impression of the clinic was ruined already. So, I give three stars for that.
