There is always trash everywhere, benches are broken, the playset is broken in so many places and the graffiti is horrendous! The water fountain has been broken for months, doesn't drain and is growing algae. The basketball court & football field are not kept up. The bleachers to the football field are falling apart, the score board is from 1973 and it's usually over grown. The fence is broken in so many areas, both at the basketball court & football field. The park is not at all monitored! People will be at the park at 10-11pm, not playing but doing other inappropriate things. While kids are running around, there will be adults and teens smoking both cogitated and other things. Multiple times there have been fights at this park with the cops called. This is just a horrible place to take your children, our tax dollar should go to good use to maintain and monitor this park, but it does not!

I've recently started going to Bellefield to swim laps, and it's exactly what I expected: A…read moreno-frills campus rec center. The pool consists of four lanes, and if it's busy, you can share a lane with someone--to be courteous, I always stand at the end and ask permission to do so to avoid surprising them in the middle of the lane. The pool ranges from 3.5'-4' in depth, so diving is prohibited, and jumping in isn't advisable. The pool and the room that it's located in are a good temperature--warm enough to be comfortable, but cool enough to feel refreshed while swimming laps. For safety's sake, there is always at least one student lifeguard stationed at the side of the pool. The locker rooms are reasonably clean and well-kept, and include all of the amenities that you'd want, including showers, bathrooms, hairdryers, etc. (Full disclosure: I don't shower there since I live two blocks away.) You can rent a locker for the semester if you wish, but I always use the transient lockers reserved for day use only, which are quite convenient. Compared to the pool room, the locker room is quite a bit cooler, so be sure to towel off as much as possible after your swim! The locker rooms are segregated by sex, and are for use by both pool and fitness center users. I haven't used the exercise room yet, but it's on the smaller side, consisting of only one medium-sized room. It contains your typical basic cardio equipment (treadmills, ellipticals, erg, etc.), as well as a few free weights. At the times that I visit (after work, around 5:30), there are usually at least a few people using it, but there's usually enough room for a few more people to work out. The same is true for the pool. In addition to the pool and exercise, there's a gym above the pool for intramurals, which provides some interesting rhythmic background noise when people are playing basketball. The fitness facilities at Bellefield are for use by Pitt employees only (students, faculty, and staff), so be sure to stop by the security guard's window to the left with your ID when you enter to be scanned in. Since the location and the price (free) are right, I'll be back soon when I don't feel like cycling and want to get my workout on! 3.5 stars.

With the rising obesity epidemic, it is rewarding to know that many are attempting to lead healthier lives. From bounce houses, water slides, and a zip line to a variety of games, music, and crafts. Yummy snacks and drinks are provided twice a day. My granddaughter enjoyed camp so much that she pleaded for another week! The price is very reasonable for all of the amazing experiences your child will participate in. We are looking forward to another week! The staff are friendly, energetic, and incredibly attentive to all the campers. If you don't live near the camp, it is worth the drive. It is conveniently located off Rt. 28. If you're looking for a place for your child to have fun and meet new friends, look no further, Camp Fun Club is the place!

The type of martial arts taught is Tang Soo Do (pronounced "Tongue Sue Dough") which is Korean. The classes/pricing structure/etc. can be a bit overwhelming at first, because they welcome you in and treat you like you are an old friend or a regular customer. Which sounds like a good thing, and it actually is. But, it can also be slightly confusing. Just remember -- the staff doesn't mind answering your questions! Even though the website (to me) feels a bit stuffy and formal, the actual local people aren't like corporate salespeople at all. There are a lot of options for getting started. You can join a trial class, visit and participate on a "bring a friend" day, or check out a community event. There are participants of all ages -- very young kids through adults. There are even family classes so kids and parents can participate together.

A great rink in Pittsburgh!…read more This rink has beautiful views of the lake and great service! The prices are very reasonable, and the atmosphere is enjoyable. I love to come here with friends, and everyone always has a fun time. The "lodge" can get kind of busy but it's never too bad. The ice can get beat up, but the Zamboni is run consistently making sure the ice stays nice. The quality of the rentals could use some improvements but they're never bad. The concession stand has some suitable snacks to enjoy. Nothing major, but it does the job. Overall, the North Park Ice Rink is a fun place to go to hang out or just have a good time!

They're kid and adult programs including pickleball, soccer, and flag football. Every sport field under the sun at this complex! Baseball, football, soccer, volleyball, basketball, and more! Private event rooms are available for party's. This field house also holds sports tournaments and events. Memberships are available and they'll give you a 7 day free trial to see if it's a good fit for you. They also rent courts on a hourly rate. Great and knowledgeable staff to hello your fitness needs. We'll definitely be back again to check it out more thoroughly.

There is only one sheet of ice but the arena in general is so well maintained and situated in a nice park area that it is hard to give them anything but 5 stars. The lobby area is large with large windows to watch from the warmth of the lobby. There is a very nice snack bar where they make fresh pizza and other grill items like hamburgers and eggs. The coffee isn't the best tasting, but it is fresh and hot - and costs just $1. There are a couple TVs hanging from the walls and a small arcade. I didn't see a pro-shop but they do sell a few items like tape in a vending machine. The lone negative in the lobby is the restrooms. They're dingy and usually dirty when I've been there. The ice rink is very bright. All the lights work and the score board functions properly. They also have a board that displays shots on goal, a nice feature that not all rinks have. A nice thing they do, which no other rink does for amateur hockey and least at the A level, is cut the ice between 2nd and 3rd period. That is an awesome thing. There is a lot of room for the spectators, and the steps are not steep. Very comfortable. This rink doesn't want people to watch along the glass at the corners, and they have put visual obstructions on the glass to discourage people from standing there. They probably have a good reason, but as a parent I often like to stand where I have the best vantage point to see him play and hopefully get action pictures. They have a large parking lot too. With the nice amenities for parents, this is a good venue for tournament games, or any activity that requires you to spend time here waiting, This is a rink that I always look forward to coming to.
