White Dragon's landlord and the police showed up during one of my son's class to evict. White Dragon up and closed the business with one days notice with no refunds. One time, my son and I walked into class and was told class was cancelled that day due to the rain. There was no advance notice on the website, email or facebook page. There were several other times class was cancelled as well. Make up classes were never offered or refunds. Belt orders were placed late so the kids were not able to receive their new colored belts they earned on testing day. Not a well run business. My son was enrolled at White Dragon for 6 months. It was our first martial arts experience and we thought the class was okay. Now that we've observed several other martial arts schools and enrolled somewhere new, we realize how much the class at White Dragon was lacking. The place we found offered so much more (for the same amount of money) that we enrolled our other two children as well. White Dragon's class was only 30 minutes, twice a week. The first 15 minutes of class were stretching and the last 5 minutes was playing a game (usually dodge ball). While all of that is fun, that only left 10 minutes of martial arts instruction, twice a week. Also, if your child has ADHD, aspergers or any other special needs, I would steer clear of White Dragon. The owner talked to me and said that he can work with kids with these issues, but then would post things on facebook like pictures of a man's leather belt with a saying "the original ADHD medication". That is not the kind of attitude I want working with my child.
