First let me say that I saw several bad reviews about this place on several different sites before I decided to try it for myself. On Ultimate's website they say it is under new management and I thought they may have improved. First of all they advertise spray tanning, but not longer offer it. So, I purchased a package for their most expensive bed. I'm talking $100.00 for 5 tans. The owner would not let me tan very long the first time I tanned. I think she let me go for 6 or 7 minutes. Needless to say, I saw little or no difference in my skin color. I started going to a regular bed at Planet Fitness and got darker with one visit. I went back again to Ultimate at another time and did not have any major issues. Today I tried to go back and the girl at the desk told me that since it had been over 30 days since I last tanned there (in May), that I could not use the rest of my tanning sessions. I think this is beyond ridiculous. Most places give you a year to use your sessions especially for minutes in the high end beds. Yes, they have a shower (not time effective for me to use) and there is fruit infused water that I assume you can drink for free(?) after your tan. But, I think you are still better off tanning at Planet Fitness. Even if you don't work out, it is still cheaper to tan there than at this place even if you have to renew your membership monthly (which I know is common for gyms). I honestly would have never gone back after the first visit except for the fact that I had paid them $100.00 for only 5 tans. I got two instead for that price and one of those visits was a complete waste of my time. Please note that I only give a bad review if I feel like a business is unethical. The 30 day stipulations should only apply to monthly packages that are discounted for that reason. Also the parking here is a nightmare as it is located in a small strip mall that has more popular businesses. read more

absolutely awful, i've been tanning there for 20 yesrs. the new owner. " a stripper" as she labels herself had absolutely no business sense at all. i had a contract with a platinum membership. i went in one day and they were slammed. i picked up a lotion, long story short i did walk i no my room without paying for by accident. i never opened it or used it and again the owner had my cc on file. she called the police she put it on facebook had me arrested for a 6 sample of lotion . the only reason i even bought it was because my $100 bottle went missin somehow. long story short she is a awful owner, and human . I was a loyal customer. She is a jealous mean hater who is mad because I don't have to lay on my back for a dollar and she does. IT'S REALLY SAD A GROWN SO CALLED BUSINESS WOMAN BEHAVES LIKE THIS. I come on vacation to Myrtle Beach all the time. Since it usually rains while I'm here, I'll sneak away to a tanning salon to get the color of the beach. After driving around to several salons, I chose Ultimate Tann because the second I waked through the door, the staff was so friendly and helpful. Compared to other salons I've been to, they were very thorough in explaining packages and lotions to me. What impressed me the most is when I came back in the second day, they remembered my name and were so happy to see me. When you're on vacation, something like that can make or break your day. This salon certainly made an impression on me. I wish every tanning salon provided me with such a great experience. read more

I absolutely loved my experience at Ultimate Tann. The owner is very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. She did not pressure me into buying a package until I had the full experience and after 1 tan I knew I would be back and a package would save me money. The beds are a great size and are kept very clean. I know they have a sauna available, i haven't tried it yet, but will. I was extremely impressed with the bathroom and shower facility. I love the option to be able to shower after I tan in case I am in a hurry and do not have time to stop at home. I cannot say enough great things and also appreciate the complimentary flavored water and snacks. Thanks ladies!! read more

This woman prides herself on "uplifting" women through her business and beauty treatments, just betray that trust and film people in their most vulnerable state and post it to social media for her friends and herself to laugh at. This woman is vile and violates the code of ethics. Michelena cannot be trusted running a business that involves people being nude and vulnerable to her bullying. Well of course we go to the beach and it rains all week. So my wife and I visited Ultimate tan. I received a spray tan(don't tell my friends) and my wife did there beds all week. My spray tan was great!! The service was a lot more than I expected. I was really surprised to read a negative review!!! Can't please everyone I guess. Good jod girls!!
