I have used Ultimate Shield for installing the XPEL Ultimate Plus Paint Protection Film (PPF) on my 2019 Acura RDX for the following sections of my car and then had Opti Coat Pro plus ceramic coating on top of the PPF. I was looking for a place to get my car wrapped and I found Ultimate Shield here on yelp. Emailed Sean and got a response right away along with answers to various questions I had. I decided to go with Sean and Ultimate Shield and luckily for me someone cancelled and I was able to get in earlier than expected. I was skeptic at first before having the clear bra done on my car. Fearing that it would be obvious to the naked eye and diminish the overall "wow" factor of the paint itself I decided to look up some places in the area. When I arrived at the shop I was still unsure if I would actually need a clear bra for my car since I do not drive my car a whole lot. At that time Sean and his team were working on another vehicle (a brand new TL). Sean greeted me and asked if I had any questions. As hesitant as I was Sean did not impose himself on me nor did he force me to purchase anything I did not want. Sean let me stay and watch the installation on the TL as well as giving me recommendations. Furthermore, Sean was prompt in giving me a honest and competitive quote. I was highly satisfied with his level of professionalism and proceeded to get my whole front done on my car. He assured me he worked on previous cars of the same model and had pictures as proof if needed. The work for the whole front was a little over an hour. Sean also threw in some extras which was really nice and appreciated. After the job was completed Sean explained how to keep the clear bra in great shape and what products to use. The clear bra is nearly invisible until you come super close to the car especially if you request to wrap around the edges and get the full hood done. They did an amazing job not damaging my paint or the car itself while performing the installation. I also had my fogs tinted yellow as well. On a side note it is nearly impossible to have a perfect clear bra. There will be slight blemishes here and there, but nothing to fret over. These blemishes occur due to the nature of the film and installation. I am more than happy to recommend this place to anyone and I have. We had numerous Lexus meets in the past and I have recommended this place to other members of Club Lexus constantly. I would say there are few things that will help keep your car looking good better than a clear bra and this is the place to have it installed. Sean and his team are super-professional and did such a good job that you can hardly tell there's a bra on there at all! Mind blowing product and great work. I took the car back to the Audi dealer and showed the guys there. They were blown away by the quality of the install. "We've never seen one look this good!" one salesman told me. He told me a horror story about a customer's R8 with razor marks in the paint from a crap trim job. Sitting there at the Ultimate Shield shop while the work was being done, it's clear from the photos and work they've done that a lot of high-end vehicles go through their facility. But you don't have to have a super-car to benefit from their work. In fact, installing the clear bra actually made the 3 year old paint on my car look like new! There are many places in SoCal to get your clear bar done. I chose this place, not strictly based on price, but mainly because I felt comfortable speaking with Sean on the phone. My BMW x3 M40i looked great, and had Xpel film installed on the full hood, mirrors, rockers, A and B pillars, door cups, full fenders, partial roof, and partial rear trunk. Sean clearly explained the options to me, and there was no pressure to go in any direction. My car was finished in the time promised and I left feeling good about the entire process. Sean stands behind his work product, and even contacted me after the job was done a few days later to ensure that I was completely satisfied, which I was. Sean and his crew are the best! I had an M3 for over 8 years and the one thing that drove me nuts was all the rock chips. The rest of the car looked great because I took great care of it, but there were rocks chips all over the front. I told myself that the first thing I would do when I got a new M3 was to get the clear protective film installed. I bought that new red M3 a few weeks ago and immediately started looking online for the best installer. On my BMW forums I heard them talking about what a great job they do at Ultimate Shield so I swung by unannounced one day and saw them working on a Lamborghini Murcialago and a McLaren. The work they did was impeccable, so I got a quote from Sean. Then I texted my friend/mechanic who works on mainly Ferraris and asked him for a recommendation and he, ironically, gave me Sean's number and told me he was the one to go to. I figured all the buzz couldn't be wrong so I worked out what exactly I wanted done and set an appointment. I just picked my car up a few days ago and I, and my car loving friends and family, are blow away by the results. Their meticulous nature is completely evident in the results. The car looks BEAUTIFUL. The clear film actually makes the car look even better, like another layer of clear coat was applied, but is not AT ALL noticeable because they run it to, and wrap it around the panels of the car. Sean runs an amazing shop - the whole shop is immaculate: the shop area, the front lobby and office, and even the bathroom (never seen a shop like it). I ended up choosing Ultimate Shield because he was the most knowledgeable, professional, responsive and thorough when I was "interviewing" him for the job. Another amazing thing to me was the precision and time Sean took to calmly and thoroughly respond to the one absurd negative review from some crack-pot complaining about Sean in an incoherent rant and he didn't have any work done. Once I saw how seriously he took his reputation and thoroughly he handled that situation, I started to think - this is my guy. First, he was the most responsive and professional in his response when I first inquired about the job I was looking for. He called me back same day after inquiring through website. I knew I wanted Clear Bra, but did not know which brand or what additional add-ons: ceramic coating, window tint etc. After a few phone conversations talking me through the various materials / services / what he's learned in his 15 years of experience, I settled on: 2stage paint correction/prep, Suntek Ultra (full front clip and hood w/ fenders, side rockers, full rear bumper, roof and front pillar package - all with the Signature Wrap, it's well worth it, makes the whole thing invisible); window tint with Suntek CIR 30% on all windows and 70% on windshield; windshield protection skin; and full-car coated with Opti-Coat Pro+. Sean was cool enough to throw in a ppf on some of the pillars and he shaded the annoying front bumper reflectors on the F90 M5 I brought in. Throughout the whole process, Sean was very informative, patient, answering questions about different materials and expectations, etc. I brought the car in and we walked the car and discussed as I was finalizing the choices. He showed me some live jobs he was working on as I was trying to decide on tint % and between Suntek vs Xpel - super helpful and made you feel confident in the decision. His lead time can get lengthy since his shop is busy; for the size of my job, he needed a full 5 days and that was about 2 months out at that time. I pleaded that if anything opened up ahead of time, for him to please let me know. After several days, he let me know some time had opened up and he could get me in a few weeks - which was great. Appreciate that he actually made note of me wanting to get in ASAP and working me in as the schedule permitted. Once the job started, Sean was in-touch, sharing pics and checking in on a few questions to make sure we were on the same page on a couple of items - fully available and more than happy to keep me posted. One interesting interaction that shows how committed Sean is to client satisfaction: I had asked for Suntek CIR tint at 30%. A couple of days in, I sent him a note and asked if I could change to 40%. He quickly got back to me and told me that they already installed the 30% as I originally ordered but asked "what do you want to do". I found it cool that rather than merely state - "already done as you ordered, sorry", he let me know that he was willing to discuss (not sure where we would have ended up if I really wanted to change, but I felt like we could figure it out if I wanted to). I had been going back and forth on this so decided to keep as-is and told him nevermind; only after that did he say that I was going to love it as it looked perfect (which was accurate). When the job was done, it looked sick / awesome / ridiculous. The PPF on the front clip and full hood was virtually invisible. The rear bumper was barely visible around the top edges (since it's where two panels meet, I've seen a number of other jobs from other installers where they struggle to make this edge look good) and the paint was perfect after the correction and opticoat pro+. Sean closes you out super thoroughly and professionally, with plenty of detailed materials on maintenance going forward, all of the warranty information completed and registered and talks you through all of the materials to make sure you understand - a professional from start to finish. One thing that is clear is that Sean is as interested in the final job on your car being perfect as you are - you can tell how he describes things during the job and how he updates you and closes you out when the job is done (he's actually excited / pleased / happy with the finished product when it's been crushed). I've had the car back for a little over 3 weeks and have performed one light wash on it - super hydrophobic and under a close look at everything, it looks awesome. Hard to come up with some critique that could have made the experience better; the only thing I'd suggest is to plan for some lead time because Sean's shop is popular! read more

Update...Ultimate Shield saved my car today. I was struck by a flying piece of plywood on the freeway. It hit my front end, quarter panel, hood, windshield, & roof. It happened so fast I thought it just hit the upper windshield. That was the only damage I could see while driving. Got back to office and was shocked at all the scratches. I immediately freaked out and grabbed micro cloth and started rubbing all the areas. Low and behold the Xpel Preotection held up. With some rubbing the marks came off. If you're thinking about getting a clear bra/paint protection film, Ultimate Shield is the absolute best and only place to go! In fact, it saved my car from major damage after a recent fender bender I was in. I wrapped most of my new car at Ultimate Shield, and only a week later a big commercial truck merged into my lane without seeing me and sideswiped me. I brought the car back to Ultimate, and lo and behold, ALL of the damage was on the paint film and NOTHING got through to the actual paint!
