And even still, the facility and my club fitter, Seth Watkins, far exceeded my expectations. I was fitted for irons and a new driver, today. It was a FUN experience and loaded with great feedback that painted a clear picture what shaft/head combinations worked best for my swing. An absolutely remarkable difference testing minor variations. It's almost embarrassing how improved my numbers were over my older trusty PING irons I brought in. We kept the testing brand agnostic even though I had a slight bias towards PING, focusing on shot dispersion, average distance, and forgiveness. Halfway through testing I thought it was going to be the PING 425s or the Mizuno 921s but instead a dark horse came out the clear winner, an impressive set of Calloway Rogue ST Max irons. And coincidentally a Calloway Rogue ST Triple Diamond driver. I never felt rushed, really appreciated Seth and truly felt like I had the best fitting for me. I'll be going back for a putter fitting soon!

The Boots and waders were all high quality (Sims, Patagonia, etc) and the rods/reels were all Orvis. All in great shape. Went out with Mark. Good guy, patient, and got us on the fish. We had some novice fishermen and he gave a quick class to get us going. We were hooked up within the first few casts. He gave us some solid techniques and advice on locating fish on the South Platte. He divided his time up focusing on the guys who needed more help. It was a Great day! Many bites, a bunch of hook-ups and landed a good amount of trout. Learned a ton and had a bunch of laughs. Highly recommend.

They are focused on customer service more than any other fly shop I've visited. My experience was fantastic! While planning a visit to Colorado, I inquired about a guided trip to the "dream stream" via email. Mike responded and we started up an email conversation about what I was hoping to do. I explained that I was visiting a friend who lives in Colorado and that my friend had never fished at all let alone fly fished. He was a total newbie. Mike said that he had several guides who would be perfect for us. It turns out that he was spot on. We booked two half-day trips, back-to-back. I didn't bring any equipment and my friend of course had no equipment, so the shop supplied us with everything we needed from waders to rods and reels. The day before our first day on the river, we stopped by the shop and met Mike and Ian (who would be our guide the following day). Almost immediately, I knew that I had picked the right shop. We got fitted, bought licenses (and a lot of clothing that was on sale), and coordinated the following day's trip. Everybody was super easy going and pleasant. This was a good sign! The following day, we met our guide and followed him to the river (in separate vehicles). Since we had done all of the prep and "paperwork" the previous day, we made good time to the stream. I was stunned when we got there; nobody else was there! With everything I had heard about the "dream stream" being so crowded, I was as happy as I was surprised. Ian (our guide) was super patient. He even helped my friend get his waders on. (My friend had never worn waders.) When we hit the water, he patiently gave both of us some instruction on what to expect and how to fish the river. I hit the stream while Ian taught my friend how to cast and mend, etc. Within 30 minutes of us actually starting fishing, my friend hooked and landed his first fish ever, a small brown trout. Wow! A short time later, I landed one too. We went on to have a fantastic day on the river even though we had to cut the day short due to extremely high winds. The following day, we had another guide, Dave. We met him at the river. He brought all of the equipment with him. The weather was gorgeous and the fishing was hot. We got a decent number of fish on the hook and landed a good percentage of them. We caught browns and rainbows. It was AWESOME! Dave was an outstanding guide! I'll definitely book a trip with South Platte Fly Shop the next time I go to Colorado. I highly, highly recommend checking out the shop and booking a trip with them. The shop and guides with whom we fished are top notch! A personal note: I have fished with guides at least 35 or 40 times in various places and out of various shops and outfitters in several states. I have enough experience with guides that I know a good guide when I fish with him or her. One more note: currently, there is a negative review about an employee. I inquired about it and was told that the employee mentioned in the review is no longer employed by the shop, so don't let that review put you off from this shop.

I brought it in and from the very beginning it was an incredibly fun, and very detailed learning experience. Everyone was so awesome! Personalities, professionalism, and enthusiasm were on point! They didn't try to over sell me or make me feel silly for the old school bow I brought in. Instead they worked with me on my form and accuracy and made sure my bow was fit to me. I left feeling more knowledgable about this new to me sport and will never go anywhere else for my bow hunting needs! 2 years in and a bad ass new bow later and I'm still a huge fan of Bow Hunters Edge! Had a Prinzu roof rack installed on a Chevy Colorado a couple of years ago. They claimed to have…read morehad to go through an excessive amount of drill bits to install the rack, and charged us for them. I emailed them about a recent leak - JUST to notify them out of courtesy to maybe suggest that next time a customer comes in with something that has subpar hardware (ours was not stainless steel so they corroded over time - although the corrosion leading to a leak was not the hardwares fault, see below) that THEY suggest an upgrade (even for a fee!). We also discovered that the technicians stripped 2 well nuts so badly that the bolts couldn't be threaded all the way in, leaving a gap for rain/snow to begin corroding the original bolts. Their email responses were full of disrespect and offered no kind of customer service at all. I emailed them specifically to discuss the issue so that I wouldn't have reason to leave them such a poor review. All I wanted out of the exchange was maybe a "thanks we'll let our team know" and maybe some replacement parts for us since THEY are the ones that stripped the well nuts. Instead I got talked down to like the leak was my fault (??) and then ignored. Watch these guys carefully and triple check their work when you get your vehicle back. There's a reason people bring jobs like this to a "professional" - so we can trust that the job is being done right.

Started looking around at purchasing one and came across Rocky Mountain. The board was used but overall looked in excellent shape. I do a lot of due diligence when making big purchases so I reached out online and chatted with Angel. She was phenomenal from start to finish. Spent literally the entire day chatting, sent additional pictures of the snowboard, helped me with a multitude of questions, and really gave me a vote of confidence in purchasing from Rocky Mountain. Got the snowboard a few weeks ago in pristine condition, packed very well. Had a fresh wax and minor tune-up. I have yet to ride it as I don't live near a mountain, but looking forward to getting it out on the mountain on the next trip. You can rent and buy from some of the big box shops / chains that exist, but supporting a local business - we're all about. Rocky Mountain is amazing - would definitely buy from again. If you're not sure about making your purchase from them - give them a call, do an online chat - the shop is phenomenal as well as the people working there. Shout out to Angel again for all the help!
