As I was peeking through the window, a nice lady unlocked the store and let my buddy and I inside. She turned on all the lights and let us roam the store; needless to say I was in shock but extremely happy that she welcomed us in. It's not very common for anybody to open up their store after hours, let alone provide the type of service we were about to receive. I told the young lady that I wanted to put together a gift basket for my girlfriend. Without hesitation, she walked us around the store showing and explaining some of her confectionary goodies. After loading up on about $80 worth of candies from my childhood, the US and even some rare gems from the UK, she packaged everything up in a nice mini crate and cellophane. My buddy and I must have been in the store for half an hour and she was pleasant the entire time - the gift basket she made was beautiful. My hat goes off to Sweet Thrills and to the young lady working that day (I wish I caught her name). This place is a must visit when ever you're in Roncesvalles.

Once we chose the balloons we liked she arranged them nicely into a bouquet. We got a large, medium, and four regular balloons for $33. Pricing here is similar to Party City from what I remember. She took my order, credit card info and told me when I could pick up the bouquet. When I arrived the next day, it was packaged up and ready to go. I ordered a second bouquet two weeks later with instructions to include a balloon with a pug in it and once again, they delivered! Both bouquets were priced around $30 for 7 balloons (one mylar and 6 latex). The helium balloons don't last a super long time (about a week before they start losing helium) but Zest for Living has been my go to for my balloon bouquet needs!

One time my cell service was down, so I couldn't access the QR codes I needed to do several Amazon returns. The person behind the counter offered to hotspot his phone so I could return my packages -- something only someone trusting and friendly would do. (I personally would never do this, being more cynical about cybersecurity. Please don't take this as a cue to inundate the staff with requests to hotspot their data!) The store has an extensive collection of seasonal cards and a constantly updated selection of surprisingly useful discount books (cooking, children's). I get that reviews from past years were about more surly staff, and the hours might be irregular. I did find staff years ago less helpful, but over the past two years, I've only had STELLAR service, and I tend to go after work. I'm grateful we have such a helpful Canada Post option and basic stationery store in the neighbourhood.
