It's just NOT the way I like my hair. Anything other than my hair being at my waist or at my lowest rib feels short to me. I stopped going to salons for a trim years ago because they ALWAYS want to chop all my hair off, brush it in a way I don't like, and basically don't listen. But recently I decided I'd give another stylist a chance. I really needed a trim. So, I go to Maggie's salon and before I even sit down I explain ... I do NOT want a cut, I do NOT want a new style, I do NOT want to lose much length and I am just here for a TRIM until I do decide what I want. I said I only wanted 3 to 4 inches tops taken off the bottom. Well, the "stylist" began by brushing my hair in the opposite direction of how I walked in with it brushed. I mean, do these people think we walk in wearing our hair in a way that we don't usually wear it!? And agin, I had already said I was NOT there to talk new styles. I have a bad back and just wanted a quick & professional trim. I didn't want to chit chat about what SHE thinks I should do with MY hair. So, she flips my dead ends around and shows me about 4 inches and I agreed that was what I expected. But, of course ... here we go ... "Well I think it would be so nice to have it a "little" short in the front and then have it blend nicely around to the back. I'm like ya, ok I've had that done before and kept my length. STUPID ME. I just assumed she remembered my out right stating I did NOT want to lose much length. But, apparently she totally forgot. I look up to see her grabbing my hair another 4 inches or so up ... and CUTS!! She freaking cut even MORE of my hair off! This was on the side and so I told myself well ... at least she's left it long in the back. Wrong Wrong ... I was so Wrong! This woman cut, in total, approximately 10 inches of my hair off!! At worst I expected my hair to be at my bottom rib and that would've been hard enough to adjust to but my hair is now at my shoulder blades! She told me ... "you'll still be able to braid it" and so I felt relief. But, now!?? I can barely braid it!! It's not even worth braiding! And to top it all off it looks like she did the opposite and cut the back center shorter than the sides!! I am totally devestated! I don't usually get upset but I couldn't even eat dinner when I got home. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place like the plague! I know, you're probably thinking oh well it'll grow out. Well, my hair doesn't grow fast at all!! It took me MANY years to get my hair long. And she cut it up so short that it's at a length where even when I was much younger and healthier it slowed way down and took forever to grow out. She has ruined the way I felt about myself and has carelessly caused me a huge amount of grief. Do not go to this salon!
