My wife called me at work yesterday morning to tell me that she had a tire going flat. I suggested…read morethat she stop by Goodyear and ask that they fix it. She arrived moments later (8:30am) and told me that it looked like she should have no problem getting taken care of as there were no customers... the repair bays were all empty... and the mechanic was just standing around talking on his cell phone. I suggested she go ahead and stop. When she stepped inside there was a young fellow behind the counter talking on his cell phone. (Obviously not to the mechanic letting him know they might get lucky & have a customer today) After standing there for awhile (obvious she wasn't going to go away) the fellow behind the counter paused his personal conversation long enough to ask her what she needed. She asked if someone might take a look at the tire... at which point she promptly asked if she had made an appointment. She said "no... She hadn't realized she would be needing one as when she left the house that morning she didn't know she was going to have a flat " He Told her that if she would come back at 10:00 he could have his man take a look at it. She called me back to let me know what was going on and to ask if she should go ahead and take the vehicle elsewhere before the tire went completely flat. I told her to take it to another shop just around the corner which is just what she did & had the tire promptly fixed. What the fellow at Goodyear didn't know was that I had also asked my wife to have them price a new set of tires while the problem tire was being fixed. Tires for a 2007 Chevy Avalanche LTZ would no doubt cost more than $1,000.00 and I expected to have a complete brake job done as well as the front end aligned at the time I had the tires replaced. Looks like the fellows at Plumlee Tire will get the business that Goodyear was too busy to handle... By the way... I drove by Goodyear later that day... Nothing going on... No customers... Bet the Goodyear business owner wonders why things are so slow???

DO NOT LET THEM TOUCH YOUR VEHICLE. They will scratch and scuff your rims and then tell you they…read moreare not responsible because they are "sport" rims. The owner even went as far as saying he used to have a sign that said they weren't responsible, WOW, that must have been great for business. Wouldn't you think a business would want to take extra special care of "sport or custom" rims???? Generally someone who has nice rims on their vehicle spends extra $!$!$!$! on their vehicle to keep it nice. If it where my business that would be the customer I would want to take care of. Just do yourself a favor and go to Plumlee instead, nothing but good things at that place. Avoid Mountain Home Tire like the plague.
