Dave & Buster's is a great spot to hit when you're looking for a fun night out. It's located right…read moreat the Greenwood Park Mall, and it really captures that classic arcade energy we all remember growing up. Coming here is such a nostalgic way to reminisce about childhood, there's something about the mix of the lights, the sounds of the games, and that excitement of trying to beat a high score that never gets old. The game selection is a solid mix of the latest tech, like the VR experiences, and the timeless favorites like Skee-Ball and air hockey. We don't usually eat here although you could, while we're here we also saw that they were doing trivia that was free to join

It is overwhelming at first for anyone who has noise sensitivity and sensory issues, but eventually you can somewhat get used to it. My daughter bought an upgraded game card for an hour and 1/2 of game 'unlimited' game play. The caveat was that we could only play the blue games. The games lagged a bit when they were activated. I think for the amount of money you can drop in that place, game cards should be open and unlimited to all of the games. The place was pretty busy so it looks like they're making money and they're not hurting. Part of the game card deal is that you get an appetizer as part of the deal. If you pay a bit extra you can upgrade to getting one entrée. We sat down at the restaurant and ate, and the food was OK. We had a chicken fettuccine meal and some fries. The amount that you get is average for the price and I would give it a 7 on a 10 scale for quality and flavor. It was served warm, but not quite hot enough. The staff and service was attentive and friendly and accommodating. It appeared that they were more than well staffed because they had quite a few employees working especially in the restaurant bar area. They could've used some more people over at the ticket redemption section. There was a line that was backed up for people redeeming their tickets or points. I would go back and hang out there, I just wish it wasn't so pricey. It would also be cool if they could incorporate more varied games. Pinball comes to mind as one option. It's one of those places that you just go to once in awhile if you can afford it. I didn't look into the party option or price point.

If you're looking for a place that instantly takes you back while still feeling like a night out,…read morethis is it. 16-Bit Arcade & Bar absolutely nails the retro vibe--from the classic video games to the nostalgic energy that hits you the second you walk in. The game selection is a dream if you grew up on old-school consoles and arcade cabinets. I loved bouncing between retro video games, a few intense rounds of skee-ball, and even some ping pong--it's the perfect mix of casual fun and a little friendly competition. The drinks were a standout too--creative, well-made, and strong enough to keep the good vibes going. On top of that, the service was great--friendly, fast, and genuinely welcoming without being over the top. We also grabbed some light bites, which hit the spot without slowing us down from getting back to the games. It's the kind of place where you can easily lose track of time (in the best way). Whether you're going for a date night, group hang, or just to relive your arcade glory days, 16-Bit is a guaranteed good time. Definitely coming back.

However, it is run more like an indoor amusement park now. You can purchase timed unlimited game usage or points. There are no more tickets to lug around the place. The number of tickets you collect are stored on your card. They have gone ticketless and have shifted to a more electronic operation. My little ones loved this place. I gave them an hour of unlimited, and that was perfect. They really liked the interactive dance floor, the picture booth, and the ghost buster game. They also liked the Chuck E. Cheese car and the big piano. Yeah, the toys and candy that you can purchase with your tickets are pretty cheap and you could probably get most of the obtainable ones at the dollar store. I get it, it is kind of a rip off. But as long as the littles are happy that is acceptable for me. The place is clean and they have a wide range of games that are suitable for all ages. You and your kids get matching ultraviolet stamps, which they check on the way out to make sure you are leaving with the child you came with. They have been doing this for years and glad to see that they are continuing to do so. They are always available for birthday parties, even though I think it would have to be a small party due to the size of the place. I know that the Cheese has had its financial issues, but I like where they are headed. They have adapted and been providing good year round family fun for as long as I can remember. I will definitely bring my crew back soon...if they are good.
