I would have rated you lower than a star if I could have. My…read moreexperience with this accounting office was extremely disappointing and frustrating. First, they charged me $250 for a basic filing service that most other professionals offer for around $100. Unfortunately, the inflated price did not come with better service -- quite the opposite. The office itself is filthy and poorly maintained, which should have been a red flag. The accountant simply gave me advice to handle my case with the Tax dept. that created serious issues for me and then completely disappeared. I tried to contact him more than 10 times over the course of 17 days with no response. My emails and messages were ignored until the deadline to submit my documents had already passed. Only after the deadline did the secretary message me saying I should solve my problems on my own -- because the accountant is on vacation. When I voiced my frustration about the lack of response, the secretary actually hung up on me. They were okay only until I made the payment -- after that, they acted like I no longer mattered. "the photo attached explains a lot." The accountant also carries himself with an arrogant, dismissive attitude -- as if he's doing clients a favor just by responding. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this level of unprofessionalism, neglect, and disrespect deserves to be called out. I would not recommend this office to anyone.

This was a very disappointing experience. Mike and his team were recommended by our financial…read moreconsultant and were highly regarded. But the whole experience was unprofessional and ultimately unhelpful when it came to doing our actual taxes. First, I didn't hear anything from them for a couple of weeks after our initial meeting. It required me following up to get an update. And then I had specifically asked for a heads up on whether we were likely to owe any taxes, since we were self-employed the past year and unclear whether we were paying sufficient estimated taxes. In the end, I got a response a couple of days before taxes were due to be filed with a report that we $12K in taxes. There was a potential to open an IRA to lowering our tax liability but with no guidance on how to do that and only 2 days to spare we just paid the bill. I would not recommend working with these folks. They seem like nice enough people but were either overwhelmed this tax season or understaffed. Either way, that exactly what you count on a tax account to be prepared for and they clearly failed.

Cons: Although the owner and employee were respectful and nice, I felt there was a lack of communication during the entire tax preparation process. Additionally, I had to pay for services before the service was actually rendered. More specifically, I wasn't allowed to preview my taxes until payment was made, which seems to be an unethical business practice. I requested a few changes due a couple minor errors and was never given an opportunity to review my taxes again to ensure I was ok with it before it was submitted. I would have liked to see the revised version in advance. If you attempt to call, very seldom will someone answer the phone. You have to wait until you get a call or email back. Not my kind of customer service at all. I think they need to hire someone primarily for answering the phones to ensure every customer feels important. Because this company is new, I would like to be understanding. Hopefully the communication deficiency will improve in the future. As a client, I want to feel confident that the company I hired can explain the pros and cons of filing a certain way or even explain their overall process to me vs just emailing information asking me to sign without really explaining everything, especially for new clients who don't know what to expect. Thank you for your services and I wish your business the best of luck in the future.
