What an incredible find here in the Chicago burbs. Comfortable recliners, plenty of TVs, and a formidable selection of the hottest cigars. Staff is friendly and the surroundings are plush and relaxing. They typically have a movie playing on several screens and sporting events on the others. Prices are reasonable for the most part but some brands are significantly marked up. Just know your price points before going. Worth it to have an option like this especially for business travelers. All sorts of beverages offered including the adult kind from the fully stocked bar. The owner Tony will hook you up with whatever you want. I visited here 3 weeks ago on a Saturday night. We were charged $22 per person entry fee and one person purchased 4 cigars and another purchased 1 cigar. We were advised that the entry fee is $20 only, so I'm not sure where the extra $2 was for. I thought there was no entry fee or a discount, if cigars or hookah is purchased? This lounge is pretty cool. They offer live sports on the many huge TVs. This place is pretty clean and everything is spaced out. They have music playing so it's pretty chill. They have a pool table in the back and booths to chill in. They have a walk in cigar room. They have a good selection. If you're a cigar person this is a solid place. The owner is a nice guy. He talks to everyone and actually does work. Cleans up after people. You can tell he takes pride in everything. They have a bar as well with a decent selection. Everything is served pretty heavily. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because they charge $20 for a double of anything. That's a little pricey. Downtown Chicago cigar house doesn't even charge that. I've been buying cigars from Tony from when he was in downtown Elmhurst -- a long time ago! He really knows his stuff in a big way, and is a GREAT guy -- always gives my kid a bottle of soda or whatever he wants. People that quibble about this or that detail don't know what they are talking about. What matters is the selection, the knowledge, and the come-one-come-all atmosphere where everyone is treated like family; a truck driver will sit in the lounge talking cigars, sports, whatever with a seven-figure-a-year investment banker. Please let me tell you of my experience at the ultimate cigar lounge. I was looking for a cigar lighter. The sales person suggested a Colibri lighter. I liked the look and had him fill it while I picked out some cigars. When I was done I paid and happily went home to smoke. When I got it home I get comfy and opened up the lighter. IT DIDN'T WORK!! After several tries it still didn't work. It would pop a flame but then go out right away. I ended up using my grill lighter instead. For the next 3 days I tried to get it to light...with no luck. So on the 4th day I took it back to the store. The sales person, who is also the manager said it was most likely air bound. He fiddled with it for a while and got it to work a few times. But not often enough for a $60.00 lighter. So I asked for a replacement. He said "sorry but your problem is with the manufacturer. ARE YOU KIDDING ME! That would be like buying Ford and having to take it back to Detroit for service. Then I got mad! I just want a lighter that works or my money back. He told me again that it was my problem and that I need to take it up with the manufacturer. So my warning to all you would-be lighter buyers . Think twice before you by from Ultimate Cigar and you may also what to rethink your purchase of the Colibri lighter. read more

Then I bought a 4 pack of cigars 31.52 , payed 20$ in cash the rest on my card and he charged an extra buck for using my card . Also if you bring your own sticks they charge a 10$ cutting fee . Like other cigar stores in the area this shop has a few things it's very good for and a few things that aren't ideal. The selection is good and the humidor is well kept even if not as immaculate as Bull and Bear. Not much here for pipe smokers though. What they do have is a fantastic cigar lounge and friendly staff. There is always an open leather couch to sink in to in the different smoking sections, and you can't leave there without becoming friends with Tony. The management is very accommodating, during a game we ordered in pizza to eat while watching and smoking and were welcomed to do it. There are also usually a good crowd of old Lebanese men smoking and playing backgammon if you are in to that. The hookah lounge is well appointed and very nice as well. The only detractor comes from the dual businesses conflicting occasionally. At the right time of day the cigar lounge is peaceful and relaxing, but for whatever reason the hookah lounge will occasionally light up with a younger crowd and start blaring techno or bad hip hop. Nice place to sit and relax though when it isn't dance-party night. read more

First off, this humidor is big and stocked with a lot of good stuff. Sure you're going to find your standard Cohibas, Romeo and Juliets, Montecristos, Macanudos, etc. But you'll find stuff that's hard to find like Opus XXX, Liga Privada, Joya de Nicaragua, My Father, etc. The owners really know their stuff and can help you find something and make a recommendation. He recommended a Joya de Nicaragua that I absolutely loved. Prices are about what you'll expect to pay for a smoke. Nice thing is you don't have to pay Cook County tax. Be sure to stop by! read more

Settled on North Avenue, Ultimate Cigar & Hookah Bar neighbors it's share of seedy bars and O'Hare Call Girls billboards. So when you walk into the lounge don't expect the Arabian Fresh Prince vibe you get from other joints. Instead, picture dimmed lights, plush couches, delicate curtains and BLARING heavy metal alternative rock. If you are into this genre, tis all fine and dandy but I protest it has no place in a facility that provides you with separation curtains and couches. I might as well be in the VIP lounge at a wayward strip club. Aside from the undesirable tunes, the owner is friendly, so I always feel welcome. Absolute trash. Garbage at the atomic level. Employees don't know a single thing about serving/preparing shisha. They lack the basic understanding on flavors, companies, coals, equipment, etc. You can't advertise yourself as a hookah lounge when you're incapable of demonstrating even the most elementary knowledge when it comes to shisha. Atmosphere is dirty and dingy, little to no care put into sanitation. Employees are dull and uninterested, acted like I was speaking a foreign language when I asked them about the types of tobacco/coal companies they carry. Thoroughly disappointing. My dad was visiting and was looking for a place that he could buy and smoke a cigar. So I found this on Yelp and decided to give it a try. The owner was very Friendly and helped us find some nice cigars. They have comfy chairs to smoke and watch tv. They also have a full bar. The only downfall is there is a 18 and up club attached to the cigar store and the music is really loud and annoying when your trying to chill with a cigar. I would take my dad back as there is not many places like this in the area. I would recommend if you want to smoke a cigar and watch a game. read more

Came in and just wanted a place to sit relax and have a cigar. Place is really laid back. The owner or I assume he's the owner helped me find a nice fresh cigar. Sat back relaxed with a bunch of strangers and had a nice time. Plenty of room if you want to find a place to relax with friends or by yourself. This place is a hit or miss. My first experiment sucked. The hookah got all of my friends sick, it was probably because it wasn't clean. My second however wasn't as bad. Last night I decided to go after so long and the first thing we noticed was the place was remodeled, which was a plus. It looked better than before. We decided to sit in one of the sectioned off rooms and one of the workers asked what we wanted. However his vibe seemed like he was annoyed because we were asking for too much, when all we had was one hookah. He then gave up our hookah and it was pretty harsh. After a few minutes we wanted to change the coals, but the little tongs were no where to be found. They used to give us a pair before, I'm not sure if they changed their policies. So we called over our guy, he said he would be there. Was nowhere to be found so we had to call him once more to fix our hookah since we couldn't do it ourselves, and finally came after he finished smoking his cigarette. I feel like the service needs improvement, and it'd be a decent place. The DJ is pretty good. If you're looking for a nice lounge with a place to dance, look elsewhere. The first question that you may ask is, what the hell was I doing in Villa Park. My answer is simple. Just passing through. I have always thought that the best way to see Villa Park is through my Rear View Mirror. I stumbled upon this gem of a Tobacco shop while driving down North Ave. The shop is located in a dumpy little strip mall that looks like it should house an adult bookstore. But to my surprise, the inside of this shop is a Tobacco lovers paradise. There is a front counter that is stocked with Lighters, cutters and other goodies for the Tobacco Enthusiast. In the middle of the shop is a Humidor that you could fit a Buick through. The Humidor was filled with Top Notch Cigars. There were Partegas, Rocky's, Punch's' and Cohibas. It was a smorgasbord of Cigars. I was happier than Dom Delouise at an Old Country Buffet. To top off all of the wonderful Cigars was the prices. The Ultimate Cigar & Hookah offers great Cigars at a bargain basement price. I guess their location is out of the taxing reach of Chicago Mayor Dick Stalin and Cook County President Vladimir Stroger. The bottom line is this. If you ever find yourself in the wasteland of Villa Park and have a Jones for a Good Cigar at a Good price, stop on into Ultimate Cigar & Hookah. I had originally stopped into the liquor shop next door when I heard the melodious thumping beats of next door. Outside I saw a kid seated comfortably looking over product stocking sheets smoking hookah! Inside it's your typical cigar and smoke shop. The manager asked me to check out their smoking room, I think he said its 5,000 or 7,000 sq feet of space, a dimly lit room with private spaces setup for you and friends to sit and enjoy your smokes. Most inside smoked out of tall standing hookahs. Spaces on the floor with cushions, watching flat panel TVs seated on leather or around a pool table. Nice setup, great space for hosting a party. I forgot to ask if liquor purchased next door could be enjoyed while smoking here. I was told that hookah is $10 dollars, with an additional $3 dollars for more flavors. Business was doing well on this night particularly by older teens and a younger 20's crowd, but not too young to shy away a few older peeps. read more

I have no complaints. Great atmosphere, privacy and I was seated at a large booth. Hookah tasted good. Staff walks around often to check on guests. Randomly ended up here one saturday on a men's night out. What was intended to be a quick stop for cigars, ended up being much more. Tony and Oscar are quite the characters and if you stop in, you are bound to have a lively conversation with them. The cigar selection was quite good and prices weren't bad. The cigar lounge area was quite nice to hang out in and was a 30ish age (small) crowd. We ended up getting a couple hookahs as well which was a fun change of pace from the average night out. the business is really poor, but the cigar shop itself has a nice collection to choose from and the smoking room is set up well for you and your friends to have a good time. I really don't like businesses that have duel operations that is why Ultimate Cigar only recieved 3 stars. In my opinion, one choose one operation and be great at it. In terms of a cigar shop it has a lot. This place has a large walk in humidor, stocked with many brands from low cost to high cost cigars. The shop has several leather sofas, couches, and decorative tables. One plus is that the shop also hosts many events and gives away tons of promo things. As far as the owners go, Tony is great. He is very friendly and always greets customers with a smile. I go here for the cigars only, and they got a decent selection with good prices. I would consider myself a regular here, mainly a weekend warrior. In terms of a traditional cigar shop this place would get 4 stars if they scrapped the Hookah Bar. The Hookah aspect knocks it down a lot. If you go here on the weekends, expect tons of kids under the age of 21 in the hookah lounge listning to club music, slamming red bulls, and playing pool, which takes away from the cigar lounge feel. All in all it is worth checking out. Again, the owner is great and very welcoming. If your looking to pick up some stogies, stop on in, if your looking for that old school cigar shop to have a smoke, every day is good with the exception of the weekends. read more
