Ordered 2 items for same day delivery. Only one in stock. Rather than offer shipping for the out of stock local item, they canceled it from the order. This disqualified me for free delivery on the remaining item, so I called right away to cancel the order. They'd already processed it & there was nothing they could do. Went in today to buy a few new makeup products I've been wanting to try & by the time I left, I vowed to never return. It wasn't extremely busy (rainy weather kept the crowds away I suppose) so I was shocked that I couldn't find a single person to help me at all. I wandered around for far too long trying to locate specific items and then tried to color match myself. I thought maybe they were short staffed but then noticed whenever the employees walked by, they asked every single other customer if they needed help with anything. I made eye contact with a couple of employees but they simply kept walking like they were on a mission. I have no issue with asking for help, but every time I went to approach someone they were chatting or making a bee line elsewhere. I have never had an experience like this at this location before but it was frustrating enough that I walked out without buying anything and will take my time and money to a more deserving company that treats their customers feel welcome. read more

Scheduled a 12:00 noon appt to get my hair curled before a wedding. Received a call that the stylist was running late and could I come at 1:00. Arrived and after waiting for 15 minutes ended up leaving. Wasted an hour out of a very hectic day and did my own hair so I wouldn't be late to a 3:00 pm wedding. Very unhappy. read more

I went into this Ulta location today to restock on skin and hair care. I am not from this city but I do work at an Ulta Beauty in a different state so I do know where everything is for the most part. Keep in mind I am a black male and this is relevant to the story. While I was shopping and looking for my items, I noticed that the two employees, one who was at the register and the other who was walking around near the front of the store were speaking on the walkie-talkies, while also looking at me. Since I work at an Ulta I immediately knew what was going on, they were keeping an eye on me making sure I don't steal. Once I grabbed my items and started walking to the registers, I saw the employee who was at registers whisper something to the other employee on the walkie and it was obviously about me because as soon I as I came up to the register she looked at me while saying it and the other employee came back. I know Ulta has a history of being racist towards black customers, and I definitely feel like that is what happened to me today and it makes me extremely angry. read more

Ive stopped here several times on my way up north. Theyd get only 1 point, but they are speedy at the register. Pro: they have a good assortment in here of many brands. Con: theyre not stocked with much. 2)many samples are out of product; 3) most people working there are always engaged in conversations, playing w their phone, or something else. 4) the staff is 0/10 knowledge. Many don't even know where the PRODUCT IS in the store much less WHAT IT IS. I asked for a simple reco on moisturizing lip product and she was totally stumped. Get a NEW JOB!!! at a very bare minimum, u should always know lip products b/c most women- even with tight budgets- will spring for a new lipstick. One person tried to sell me a big pack of 10 lip products and didn't even ask me what my lip needs even were. Ulta obviously isn't training their staff. No comparison to Sephora gals. read more

I will not return. Visited 5/24/2018 Was not greeted when I walked in and only 2 other customers in the store, so not due to it being busy. Representives were busy carrying on private conversations with each other instead of helping customers. Actually had to stand and wait for them to finish to ask a question, which seemed to bother them to be interrupted. Store is well stocked to bad customer service is lacking and reps seem snotty. Visited this store the other day to find new products, and was immediately greeted upon entry, and was let know if i needed help with anything to let her know. I knew I wanted to try a new way of applying a product, but was unsure of what to get, and how to apply it. I immediately found the worker who had blonde hair with some purple in it. She was super sweet and helped me pick a shade, product, and even asked me if i knew how to apply it. Upon saying I wasn't sure how to do that method because I had never tried it, she explained how to apply it. I checked out and the cashier was also very nice. I have never had a good experience at Ulta Saginaw. And I choose not to shop there. My first experience was looking for the tissue that is used to roll hair when perming. I pin curl my hair and use the tissue to keep the loose ends in. I approached two sales clerks and was given a very snobby look, then was told. "We don't sell trailer type hair products here, you'll have to go to that other store for that...Saaaaaalys" Then she turned in looked at the other clerk rolled her eyes and laughed. The second time I was buying perfume for my teen Son and Daughter (Christmas gifts). I asked for assistance in finding my Sons cologne. Again I got a very snobby reaction and an unwillingness to help. I had a bag full of product to purchase. I just handed her the bag and walked out. I ordered what I needed on Amazon. The Third time I went for my daughter, she had gotten some extra cash from babysitting and wanted to get something nice for herself. I refused to purchase anything but wanted to support her in our girl day out. First me were at the back of the store looking on a rolling cart rack. The lady who ignored us earlier while chatting with a coworker saw us and came rushing at us with her finger pointing at us wagging it in our faces, shouting "You, cant buy that" she then pushed the rack inches from our face into a back room. We decided to laugh it off as a crazy person. My daughter went to another part of the store to find the eye shadow pallet she was there for. Again the same attitude when asking for assistance. "Your sure you can afford this" as she looked my daughter up and down puckering her lips. My daughter started crying she set the product down saying she didn't want it anymore. I took her to Saphora where she was treated like a princess and given a sample for the way their competitors treated her. What a horrible store. No thank you. I read more

Me n my daughter went for a girl day for cuts n blow dry and style with color. I spoke to the manager and showed a picture of a cut I wanted knowing I would not look like the picture but wanted someone experienced with cuts to give me the cut pictured. She said yes she had just the person but I knew I was in trouble when she had to cut a guide for her. When she was done it looked as if she put a bowl on my head the other stylist cam over to try to fix it by texturizing etc but parts were to short and others too long. I will never get another cut at ulta. I was suppose to have a side bang but she cut the so short that was impossible. $180 later and not happy at all. If you ask for someone experienced don't give me a new stylist to experiment on me. Don't go here! They knew it was so bad and charged me anyway full price and it was a mess. read more

I went in yesterday, was looking for two specific products. I was greeted at the door. When I went up to the girl to ask for help she was on her phone. She then only gave 1 options for each product, telling me that they were all pretty much all the same. She gave me no other options in a beauty store full of options. I then asked for mini size and she acted like they didn't have the product in mini. I had to find it myself. She did not seem to care about my budget. Nor did she care about actually helping me find something I like. I don't understand why someone with so little people skills would be hired into customer service. She was rude, and obviously had no makeup knowledge. I ended up not buying anything because I will not support rude people. read more

This store never seems to have much in stock. The last 3x I've been there, they were out of Flower concealer, they have very low stock for colourpop so even though they have testers they rarely have the actual product available. Twice I was there for Lorac foundation #4 and they didn't have hardly any shade ranges in stock. What's up with the particular Ulta? There's always footwork so i don't see why it would be so hard for them to keep up stock. You're better off going to midland or ANY other Ulta for that matter. I would like to voice a complaint about the Ulta store in Saginaw MI. I purchased a Hot Tools flat iron, and upon bringing it home and opening the box I noticed that it had been used. The plates had smudges and scratches, and the cord was not wrapped up. I am frustrated because now I have to make a separate trip to return the flat iron. I understand it probably works fine, but it is unacceptable to resell a returned product for the same price as a new product when it has visible defects. I am one unhappy customer. read more

I had my make-up done professionally for the first time ever, at the Ulta Salon in Saginaw by Christina. My need for vegan and cruelty free products were met professionally, and willingly. I was extremely happy with the results, the make-up lasted well over 12 hours, and I would use the service again! I'm not much for make-up and expensive products, but this was a great way to try new things and learn. read more

So, I am here from out of town and decided to get a quick root touch up. I called at 5:15 and was offered a same day hair appt at 6 pm . I was extremely pleased to get this done at a time with no kids ad on a Saturday night!! Brooklyn was awesome and eagerly met me in the store to discuss my hair needs. She offered a few suggestions and we agreed on color. She was extremely conscientious and watched my color closely. When it turned out a little different then planned she put me at ease and sought help from her manager. With a few touch ups it looked great! The store manager was amazing and gave me a few gifts for the extra tine it took to correct. Brooklyn was amazing and I really liked the customer service I received. I had read some prior negative reviews prior to going, but took a chance any way. I'm glad I did and I would definitely recommend going there. Was a bridesmaid in a wedding where the bride wanted us all to get ready together, wanting us to do our own hair and makeup. I don't wear much makeup and was at a loss as to how to make this work. Brooklyn was amazing, she immediately greeted me at the door and was the answer to everything i needed. She walked me through step by step on how to apply the makeup, answered all my questions, and showed me the products that were best for me. Maria is the salon manager and she is fantastic. She is very skilled in coloring and cutting hair and knows how to cut and style even my difficult very curly hair! She also rescued my 7 year old daughter when she attempted to cut her own hair. She grabbed a handful of her near waist long hair and cut it about 2 inches long at a diagonal.
