Hubby bought this perfume for my birthday yesterday afternoon (picture to show original box and shrink wrap it came in). I went to open it last night for a birthday dinner and it was more than half empty. Flash forward to this afternoon (less than 24 hours later) when I brought everything in to exchange it for a full bottle. Angela, the store manager pretty much implied that I used more than half a bottle (in one night) and wouldn't return it. Angela told me I could call Ulta customer service, which I did in the parking lot and customer service told me to walk back into the store and hand my phone to another manager. I did, received eye rolls and snickers, and that manager basically told customer service that she has the final say and handed me back the phone. Customer service sent me to her supervisor who also tried speaking to Angela via phone since I was too annoyed and embarrassed to go back in the store, and while he was surprised at the manager's response- he said there is nothing he can do with purchases made in store. I would not recommend going to this store, or at the very least only order items online with Ulta. read more

I love coming here. There is always somebody who is super willing and eager to help me with whatever I need the minute I walk in the door. If you're lucky enough the day you go to have Willa to assist, she is amazing. Such a great variety of beauty, products, and the salon on site is super convenient. Located in a shopping center in West Cobb, there are plenty of other things to do, including restaurants and other shopping right across the street. There is a Sprouts, a Marshalls and a gym in the same parking lot. read more

I have been a Diamond Rewards level Member for over a decade. I tried to return an unopened product ONE DAY over the 60 day limit and there was NOTHING they would do for me or offer as a possible solution. The company's policy may be excessively restrictive but a decent manager would recognize a loyal customer that has spent THOUSANDS of dollars over the years and come up with some kind of creative solution. This happened a few days ago and I've tried to let it go but I just can't shake how uncomfortable and borderline violated I felt. This past Thursday me and my sister went to this ulta to pick up a few things I needed for her wedding. When we came in we were greeted by a sales associate and asked if we needed any assistance, I asked for her recommendation on a foundation and she showed me one. Wish it ended there but it didn't. She said she HAD to color match me and I said no thank you and told her I had just gotten a full body spray tan not even 30 minutes prior and couldn't put anything on my face or it would leave a spot and ruin the spray tan. She started questioning different areas "what about your hands? Ears? Neck?" And me and my sister said no to all of them because of the spray tan and the sales associate started looking at us strange and was telling us she had never heard of a full body spray tan and had never in her life heard of anyone getting a spray tan on their face, basically accusing us of lying all because I didn't want a color match. She then pulled me to a chair and said she HAD to color match me. And me and my sister kept saying it wasn't necessary and we don't have to and the sales associate kept saying "no we have to, we have to" over and over again. And then proceeded to ask me to LIFT UP MY SHIRT and said she HAD to color match me on my stomach or side. I was visibly extremely uncomfortable and I kept saying no and my sister also kept saying no but the sales associate kept insisting that I HAD to. I have never in my life been asked to be in any state of undress when in any makeup store. My sister stepped in and advocated for me because I am 9 months pregnant and already feeling vulnerable because of that and now feeling so uncomfortable and cornered by this woman telling me I had to lift up my shirt so she could color match me even after I said NO probably a dozen times. My sister told her no over and over and the sales associate started to roll her eyes and said "well let me do the side of the stomach. Pull up your shirt let me do it" and we still said no and I got up from the chair because I was so uncomfortable and she told me to sit back down (I didn't) and then she went over and grabbed another associate and in a mocking tone told her that I couldn't be color matched because of a spray tan. She then tries the foundation on the associate the whole time she's rolling her eyes commenting on how I could've had this done to myself and it wasn't a "big deal" My sister looked at the shade number and said thanks and we picked it up ourselves and said we didn't need help anymore. We tried looking for the other items we needed and this same associate kept following us around the stores and I felt so scared that I called my husband inside because I didn't want to be cornered and asked to lift up my shirt again or god forbid any other article of clothing. My husband came in and we paid for our things and left. After my husband came in she didn't bother us again. How sad is it that a needed to have a man with me at a makeup store to feel safe. I wish I caught her name, but she was an older tan woman with a tooth gem. read more

Worst customer experience I've ever had. Avoid at all costs! They are rude and enjoy making customers frustrated. Unhelpful, unfriendly, down right rude employees. Do your self a favor and don't step a foot inside this fiery pit of dissatisfaction. read more

Hello I went to Ulta today at 550 o'clock after a whole busy day. I went in just to get some quick items, and I actually left with a terrible story, I was not helped throughout the floor while there were two ladies talking in the back. I went to the registers and I was originally behind one other women so I was the second one in line to be there I make a note of that because it does matter. there was also a pregnant woman in this line and she went the opposite side of me, and I understand that the columns of the registers can be confusing which does need to be fixed! So I was in line and in second place, but due to the confusion of the lines, the pregnant women went before me, which I didn't mind and I wasn't gonna say anything because I imagine that she had a busy day as well. So Reagan was at the register, after willow came to assist with the first woman(unscabble item) Willow came to assist her because something wasn't scanning. So I decided to continue to stand there and wait as she attended this pregnant woman, but after the pregnant woman had purchased her order. she went to the next white women that was in line. I also want to state that behind me, and next to were two African-American woman which we were attended to last. But we were there before the two white woman. And to add onto it Willow finished with the woman in front of me with the unscanable item, she completely closed the register, when there were three women in line. STILL BUSY. Reagan was also by herself so I don't understand why willow didn't assist. I also heard where Reagan asked her if she was busy thru the ear-WalkieTalkie. it was clearly a busy time and because that unscannable item did take up a couple minutes- it was busier. Is this really how you guys treat your members? Is this really the staff that you hire? If it is, you have just lost a customer and hopefully the other ones that see this. I'll be telling everyone I know too. This behavior I've never experienced prior, with previous staff members. This Ulta is like a revolving door with aterrible turn over rate! The two women's names were Willow and Reagan and I would like to hear an update soon, I also invite management to look thru the camera footage, around 540-6. In what planet that's okay to not ask customers permission before trying to enroll personal information to their system? This is 2nd time I have made quick stop in past year or so. Not a impressive service but this is not a my go to place for my makeup needs and therefore didn't care much. As I was check out counter, Cashier start asking for phone number and name, this is okay because I assume she was looking to see if I had a account but she proceeded to ask for more personal info and that's when I found out she was trying to enroll me in to their system without asking my permission! How is this okay?? I will report this unethical practices to BBB. Maybe this is their normal practice and customers are okay with it ?? I will stick to Noestrom for cosmetic. read more

Today was my first time ever getting highlights in my hair, and to say the least I was nervous. I booked an appointment online (which is incredibly easy to to; you can book multiple services at once i.e. haircut, facial, eyebrow waxing, etc.) and when I came in Kendra was ready for me (even though I was a little early)! This was probably one of the best salon experiences I've ever had! Kendra was super nice, and made me feel comfortable getting my hair highlighted for the first time - she basically walked me through each step and was super excited to be working on my hair! The whole process took about 2 hours but MY GOD it was so worth it! She then recommended a shampoo and conditioner for my newly highlighted hair and I was on my way! read more

I must say that this Ulta is the best one I have been to in a very looooong time. I was looking for something specific and after stalking the website early Saturday morning I decided I was gonna be there a 10a as if I work there to make sure I get what I want. Honestly, there was no need for that...they had three of them. Upon entering I was greeted by the cashiers and one of the staff on the floor. This is a new Ulta so I figured man, they are just doing this but no...later in my visit I had two more ppl ask if they could help. By this time I was doing what I shouldn't and browsing for extra things. Well, I looked on the clearance stand but talked myself out of this deep conditioner. But when the lady said that there's an additional 50% off the already marked clearance price $4 for conditioner seemed like nothing, lol. Anyway, I soon made my way to the register where I was asked if I found everything I needed..."um, yes and then some". I will definitely come back to this store uber excited about my purchase and I think I'm going to start stalking the clearance stand more often. read more

Grand Opening!!!!! Today was the final day of their grand opening. I missed out on the gift cards for the first 100 customers on Friday and Saturday but I made sure to show up early today. Score!!!! $10 off my purchase!!!!!! On Friday, the customer service was spectacular. All of the store associates were very helpful but not in a pushy way. One even told me what time to show up for a chance at getting the gift card. Today, I saw different associates and was still met with the same caring, helpful experience without being pushy. I was very pleased that the experience was consistent with different staff. At checkout, I was told that in addition to the $10 off gift card I received from the store, I could combine it with the $3.50 off coupon in the store flyer. Nice!!!! The coupon didn't automatically take off and the store manager took the initiative to make sure every customer at checkout was receiving their proper savings. I was really blown away by my shopping experience here that I had to tell the manager that this will be my preferred store. This store definitely stands out because you feel that the warm and caring demeanor is genuine. Oh and the savings!!!!! I quickly racked up reward points because there were several buy 1 get the 2nd 50% off on products that I like. Seriously, I ended up saving more here as opposed to buying the products at other well known retail stores. read more

I am a make up minimalist. This store overwhelms me! But at a friend's recommendation I went to the Brow Bar. I am so glad I did. I haven't been this happy with my brows in years!!! I visited the new Ulta West Cobb today for the first time. I went in for a haircut. The girl who greeted me was friendly and professional. I was comfortable immediately. However, when we went over what I wanted done. I felt like I had explained myself. I wanted short layers. I showed her with my fingers how short I wanted it. I explained that I wanted it cut so that it would be curly. I explained that i never used a hairdryer. So she cuts miniscule amounts of hair, barely a trim. I asked her to take off more. Again, miniscule amount of hair. Leaving super long layers, my head looked like i had been wearing a hat. She wanted to straighten my hair when I clearly told her i wanted it curly. She wanted to use a hairdryer and I had already told her I never use one. Its my hair and I know how I want it. Why can't they listen to me instead of doing what they think is best? I went home and cut it myself with kitchen scissors. I should have done that to start with and saved myself $50.00. read more

Obviously the employees at the Ulta on Dallas Hwy is more concerned about chatting with each other than helping the customers that are roaming around the store trying to locate items or have questions answered. I was in the store a solid 40 minutes and was never acknowledged. How do they expect to make any money not working?? Oh well I guess Sephora will get my business. read more

It saddens me that I have to write this letter yet again. On May 2, 2019, around 1:30 pm at Ultra Beauty 1311 Johnson Ferry Marietta, Ga. I was racially profiled in your store. I have reached to management, corporate, the help desk, every option I felt was available, and no one even reached to me to apologize. No one has called or emailed me about anything. Is this how are you treat your valuable customers? This incident has affected me; when I go into a store, I have bad anxiety. I never had fear/anxiety until this happened to me. I was so excited to have an Ulta close by but for some reason this store has a hard time keeping the smaller sizes of hair products in stock. I like trying new products before I buy the full size and I also like having the option of running in and grabbing the travel size before I leave on a trip. Hopefully, this problem can be resolved.
