No one greeted us and as we walked down multiple aisles, we saw several young employees chatting and socializing with each other and not helping other customers as they looked lost as well. The main purpose of me going is to get color matched for a new foundation and to restock items I'm out. Their staff did help me with what I needed, even if the foundation I decided to purchase was sold out. I was offered a free shipping coupon card so I can buy online. I've been to this Ulta probably more times that I can count. Sometimes to just play with make up and other times to purchase make up. I've never had a bad experience here. The sales people here I think are over friendly...I mean this as a compliment. They say hello to you when you walk in and tell you about the sales that they maybe having that day. Then they offer to help you find something. I don't usually need help but when I do it's nice to know there are plenty of people around who are there for you. The store was remodeled a couple of years ago and new items such as Nars and Lancome were added to the mix. There is a hair salon towards the back and a brow bar towards the left front. This shopping center is pretty jamming with a REI, a shoe Carnival, a super Target all next to each other. There are plenty of parking spaces but on the weekends as expected it can be a total zoo. read more

I've come to this location for a few years now and everytime i come it's never been a good experience. This is the only location closest to me unfortunately. To avoid the employees, i try to shop online now. I went to this location recently and i was minding my own business when an employee came up to me. I am not going to write out the whole interaction but it was really unprofessional and disrespectful to say the least.. I can't stand coming to this location and it's gotten me to the point where i am leaving a review. I usually skip the reviews when i get the emails but i can't stand it anymore. People need to do better and i never recommend people coming to this location bc of the experience i keep having over and over. This last time was ENOUGH for me. I was happy to find this ulta nearby since I am on a business trip. Most of the staff were nice and friendly however I was looking for a product and noticed this unfriendly lady nearby doing her own thing and she already had a demeanor of "don't bother me while I am busy over here" so I asked another lady walking by instead. Then as I was testing perfumes since I needed to buy a decent travel size fragrance. The same unapproachable lady walked by passing by me and said on a rude tone complaining "who sprayed that?!?! It smells strong!!!" I meant to say hello? Me, a customer and I don't think your perfume stink. Now, thank God I didn't spray none of those perfums on me just on the small paper for testing. If i could rate lower I would!!!! Very very rude customer service, Ulta your employees are more worried about closing than they are about creating customers. I was told to "shop a little faster because they were closing in 12 minutes" they were screaming at other guests at 5:59 saying "WERE CLOSED" no apologies just straight attitude, I just spent $200 here and I would have gladly took my business elsewhere because your employees are very rude and lack respect and customer service. When I was leaving the associate did not say thank you or have a nice day but instead shouted "other door, it's locked" with a nasty face, it was not even 6 and they were locking doors and being disrespectful. While shopping near the salon area around 6:30pm on 05/05/23, I observed a negative customer experience in which a lady had received terrible hair coloring service. I could see from 3 aisles over that a good portion of her hair was still not colored. It looked terrible in my opinion, and I could tell she was embarrassed by it. I would have been too. She let the Ulta staff and supervisor that came out know what happened in a very kind, respectful manner but was met with "sorry you'll have to come back first before we give you your money back"... She was going out of town and had to go with her hair like that... Instead of providing a refund (which she only requested a PARTIAL refund), the staff gave her a very hard time and refused. They wanted her to rebook (even though she was going out of town as she had nicely explained...) simply because that was "their policy for rectifying a bad situation". I could not believe Ulta let her walk out of the salon 1. with only a portion of her hair colored, 2. with no refund, 3. very unhappy, and 4. forced to return to possibly undergo another negative experience... Other customers noticed as well and told me they experienced something similar when getting an Ulta hair service. To top it all off, I also overheard the staff discussing the situation with negative remarks after the customer had left! Super unprofessional. I have never been to the Ulta salon for hair service, and I certainly won't be trying it now. I am also warning friends and family of this experience. I wish I had spoken up while there, but I could tell the lady was embarrassed enough as is. I didn't want her to know even a stranger could tell her hair was not great... I feel so bad for her and hope Ulta does something to truly make the situation right - something that does NOT include making her come back to undergo another terrible service! read more

These five stars go for Aleah and her great customer service! I have not been to an Ulta in over 25 years. I had a few gift cards and that brought me I today. I was greeted at the checkout desk with a great smile, and a kind welcoming from Aleah. she quickly explained the rewards program to me and got me signed up and gave me pointers for using the program. She also help me use my gift cards for I never used one there before. Customer service is a very big deal to me, and Aleah blew customer service out of the park! A huge thank you to her for all of her help today I was having kind of a bad day, but your kindness turn my day around. I will always make sure to say hello to her when I come in there if not, get her to help me with my sales. Can't rave about their Master Stylist, Shivadika, enough! I left feeling great about my cut. She's warm and funny and great to talk to....but those skills! I've never had a fade as crisp and clean as this one. It was getting great reviews from others before I left the store. Perfect body and balance and weight and lines that show of my face and let me see myself in a way I haven't before. I think this is how you must feel after getting plastic surgery. I'm not sure if they've brought in a new team since all the horrible previous reviews, lol, but I contacted the store tonight and spoke with Scarlet - and she could not have been more helpful. The ULTA website isn't the most user friendly when it comes to checking to see if certain products are sold online versus avalailabe for pickup in stores - and she went above and beyond - checking for product availability and even calling Woodstock and Cumberland locations when she determined that this location was out of stock. To be clear - the inventory system said Woodstock and Cumberland had the product - but Scarlet insisted on calling both the stores to confirm instead of just suggesting that I call the stores myself before driving over. This is the most torn apart, dumpiest Ulta I've ever been to. I've lived in the area for 10 years and I'm just now finally fed up with how much the interior of this store looks like it was hit by a hurricane. 100% of the time I come here, packages are opened, torn apart, laying on the ground, or considerable amount of stock is missing altogether. Today I was I actually stopped by someone who did not want me to even enter half of the store because staff was sitting around sorting and had everything disorganized. Like I'm not allowed to even browse. People save your time and either order online or just find another, more quality store. There is zero chance you're going to fine what you need here. The employees I've come into contact with have all been helpful and pleasant. One individual, however, has stood out from the crowd and has been an amazing source of inspiration, encouragement, and happiness during my visits to this store. Valerie (who very well seems to be a Jill-of-all-trades) has been my "Arch Expert" during my eyebrow-waxing appointments. After my first visit with her, I was absolutely sold and will continue to be a regular consumer of this store and their services. Valerie maintains a cheerful and bubbly disposition, in addition to being remarkably knowledgeable about her craft and the associated products. Went in for nail clips that remove gel/SNS polish. I couldn't find them and figured they were out. Found eye make up remover mitts instead so I waited in line to buy those. The cashier asked if I had found everything okay. To which I said no, since she asked. So I explained the item I had come in for. She was about as smart and helpful as asking a box of rocks to help me with the question that SHE had asked. She asked the cashier next to her, which appeared to be a manager, and she was not helpful either. Someone else came up and knew what I was asking for, and took me to it. As I figured, they were out. So I appreciated her store knowledge and willingness to help. Went back to line to the same cashier who had taken someone else in line which was fine, and I waited next to them. She finished with them and then called for next in line. I then asked, can I pay for the item of mine that she still had at the desk with her. This is where I got frustrated, because her response was "ummMMM..." and I had the feeling she was going to ask me to wait in line again, after I already had. So instead of continue the conversation, I told her politely "Do not worry about it. Thank you." And she said "are you sure?" And I said yes, and left the store. First let me start by saying the beauty advisors here are out of this world amazing and so helpful and understanding of each product however, there was one particular employee who I just couldn't help but see was very rude to her other coworkers I couldn't catch her name nor do I want to just by her character but she was extremely rude and unhelpful to the other employees she walked around the store with much attitude and wasn't Afraid to give it to people the way she talked and treated those people disgust me, as a manager you should be helpful and treat your employees with respect here I guess that's just not the case. Every time I go to this Ulta, it is a mess. Boxes everywhere. Items that haven't been restocked. Shelves a mess. I've been to other Ulta stores that easily rival this one in terms of cleanliness, organization, and layout. The checkout line always goes into an aisle, blocking products. The employees are hit or miss in terms of helpfulness and attentiveness. I would love it if this location would get more organized and present a cleaner, more professional store to its customers. read more

The customer service at this store is awful. I was there today ad's there was a line of 10 people and two cashiers. There were multiple employees in the store but none could help the register. The thing that shocked me the most was a customer getting out of line to drag a chair so her mom could sit down because she's ill. None of the employees asked how she was but other customers did. I was still standing in line and allowed the woman too l cut in front of me so she could leave asap to help get sick mom. DONT THINK ANY OF THE EMPLOYEES STEPPED INTO TO ASK OR ANYTHING! When my mom who I was in line with finally made it to a register, the employee was lifeless and kept berating us about our damn phone to get points. If I say no, it's a firm no. I also have another experience a week prior. I had scheduled a makeup/ hair appt a month out to attend a wedding. The day before my appt Ulta informs me my hair appt was cancelled which left me scrambling at the last minute to get one across town. When I arrived for my appt, there was no sense of urgency AND I did not feel comfortable in my mua's hands. I kept being asked if I wanted eyeliner, blush, lipstick or more when I already informed her what I wanted. She then had to keep walking back and forth to get supplies AND I felt like nothing had the illusion it was sanitized. What really set me of was other girls getting THEIR hair done, so I felt unimportant AND rushed. read more

I came to this Ulta in a desperate need of a blow dryer. Driving cross country from Cali helping my mother in law move. She (mother in law) lost her blow dryer so being the good daughter in law that I am I gave mine to her. When I found the blow dryer that I liked there was none on the shelf. This beautiful sweet girl named Allison came to my rescue. She went looking through the back to find it. She did find one but it was on the top shelf & being short like her I totally understood her concerns but she hopped on that latter & got it for me! I've visited this store on a few occasions, but have never purchased anything. I never get acknowledged with a greeting when I walked through the door each time, yet whoever walks in after does. What gives? I usually reserve major purchases for online because I buy enough for free shipping and samples. Each time I've actually walked into a store was to buy one or two items of a particular brand of makeup- NYX Cosmetics. Their selection of this brand is always picked over and the display is messy. There was a lipstick that was opened and smashed on the floor. I don't think I'll ever waste time walking into this location again. The staff here is awesome. I was asked by what seemed to be everyone that was clocked in if I needed help. It was a bit annoying after the 3rd person asked but I'm glad they did. I guess I looked pretty lost. I was looking for a wand curling iron that did not taper at the bottom and the sales associate led me straight to what I asked for down to the exact measurement of the wand. She also assured me that if after getting home and it's not what I wanted that I could definitely return it even without the original packaging. read more
