Walked in with an idea of what I was looking for however trying to find someone who didn't work at brand to get help was challenging. I even asked a lady who I saw helping another lady with picking items only to be told that she works for a brand and needed to get back to here area. On the other had I ran into Jaime and she went above and beyond with tricks to help with the issue that I'm having with lipsticks and even made a few suggestions although what she suggested was not what I came in looking for. I was looking for a particular item in the Juvias place collection. The stock is very limited so I ended up getting something I am hoping to work. It was also suggested that I get a lip primer. What was suggested was more than what I wanted to spend, so I went to the lower end cosmetics and I asked a lady who was helping a lady and was met with "I really don't know" . . . So once again I was looking for products by myself. This is not my usual store and I likely won't return to this store as it felt like there were plenty of employees but none that worked the floor without representing a brand that could provide any assistance. read more

Absolute TRASH!! I just got off the phone with this location. Between "Sam" and whatever manager was working on 4/25/25, I will NEVER shop at Ulta again! Returned some items in store today. I wanted to use the credit to buy items online, which were out of stock at that physical location. Sam told me that she would give me a store credit card with the returned amount, and I could then buy an E gift card that I could use online with that store credit card. After 30 minutes of trying to convert the store credit card into an E gift card, I ended up calling the main Ulta customer care. They were so incredibly rude. I heard a gaggle of people laughing in the background, and it was clear that I was being constantly muted. Eventually, the glorious sales representative just hung up on me. I called back and asked for a manager. The woman explained to me that all of the information I was given in store was incorrect. She said that you can never use a store credit card to purchase an E gift card. I then called back the original store that I was at earlier in the morning and spoke with Sam. She told me that she meant that I could have received a gift card in store as opposed to the store credit card. That is not what I heard. She then said that she could convert the store credit card into an E gift card, but that she would have to read the number to me over the phone. I told her I was fine with that, and she checked with the manager to see if that would be OK. The manager then got on the line who was so condescending. I explained to her that I don't have an Ulta location physically near me that is convenient. She scoffed at that and didn't believe it. I then told her that Sam was supposed to be checking with her to see if she could convert the store credit card into an E gift card, and she then told me they can't do that either. She also explained that they don't allow you to receive a gift card for store credit in the store typically. So which is it? Both employees are contradicting one another. I told her how unhappy I was with this entire situation. They intentionally make it where you have to return to a physical store in order to purchase anything with your credit, which makes it much less convenient than if you were just able to purchase the items online. That is the entire point. They want to make it as difficult as possible for you to use your store credit. When I told the manager that I would never use Ulta again, she said "well, that's on you." Obviously, I didn't take that rude response well. Thanks, Ulta! I'm so glad I get to spend my birthday going from store to store trying to find one lipgloss in stock. Came for the salon service, Jessica was as awesome as usual. Love her! Then I encountered Talia at the checkout counter. She asked me how much I wanna tip, I said 20%, then she said coldly with no smile" We tip in amount, not in percent, and I don't have calculator with me." I've been coming here for 2 yrs, this is the first time someone said this to me so I was in shock for a few second tbh. The charge was 129, you round it up to 130 multiple by 2 and move the decimal forward by one digit? You need a calculator for that? And she said it so unapologetically too. So here I am on a great vacation and staying at a bougie hotel in uptown. Of all things my hairbrush handle breaks! What in the world is this? You know I can't go around with my hair looking like a mess so I needed a hairbrush. I went online to Ulta and ordered a brush and they had same-day delivery; they brought it to my hotel room in about an hour and a half great service. read more

My wife's piercing appointment was cancelled without her being notified so the tech could take a different client for a higher priced service. Not it brutally poor way to treat any guest, just also very poor look trying to lie and say it was just randomly cancelled. Will never step foot back in Ulta again. read more

This store has become poorly merchandised, messy, and gross. When you first walk in there is now a security guy scanning you to see if you look like a thief. Staff not helpful. Brands suck. So much out of stock/ not restocked. Employees standing around. Long lines to check out. Reminded me why Sephora is and continues to dominate. read more

This Dallas location is at Inwood and Lover's Lane. It's right next to Trader Joe's. I shopped on a beautiful, busy Saturday afternoon. The store was very well staffed. I was greeted immediately and offered assistance. When I mentioned a specific hair care brand for textured hair he didn't point into a general direction but walked me right to it. I appreciate that level of customer service. Every single employee I came into contact smiled, was pleasant and friendly. And I like it so much that there are several brands throughout the hair care section designed for curly and/or textured hair. Everything is always so well displayed at Ulta and it's great to have so many choices of product brands. Thank you Ulta! read more

Shoppers beware! If you see a sale/free gift with purchase take a photo or walk back with the manager. I went in tonight to pick up shampoo and conditioner. Went straight to the redkin section, I saw a sign saying spend $60 on any redkin get a free product and it listed the product. I grab $100 worth of redkin and went to check out. When I got the register the cashier Alanna, rang me up. I told her what the sign said and she asked if she could call a manager. I told her yes please. As he was walking over she said you can tell him the issue. (Why would the customer tell the manager the issue when you are aware of it?) Manager Tucker said he would go check. It took him a few minutes to go to the back of the store and come back. (Not a very big store) When he came back he asked " where did you see the sign?" I walked back with him and the sign had been removed from the location. That was pretty shady that he would remove the sign to make it seem like I was crazy and lying about. I called him out on it. Told him it was right there. He ended up honoring the sale but the damage is already done. Why would I want to shop at a place that would do sketchy stuff. If the offer was expired why not explain that instead of making it seem like I lied about the sign? read more

I tried to be kind and apologize as there were now hours posted and the woman rolled her eyes at me and said to leave. I love this location, but I can't believe this is what I got when I placed a pick up order with them. Clearly someone returned this & they put it back out to be resold. I can't imagine how else I could have gotten this from them. Please always check what you pack! It's not that hard! I only opened my bag to ensure it was the correct items-I came across this surprise when I finally got home and was wanting to get ready. When I called, the girl who answered said there was nothing else I could do, but exchange it for another one. No proper explanation on how this product was on the floor to begin with. After a year of highlighting my own hair, I finally decided to hand it over to a professional. I am so happy I did! Mars did an AMAZING job! I highly recommend booking an appointment with Mars for all things hair! I hate sitting in a chair for hours, which is why I just started doing my own highlights. BUT NEVER AGAIN! I just got my hair cut by Chloe S at the salon. I received a call from Chloe a few hours before my appointment to let me know the hot water was not working and asked if I still wanted to keep my appointment and use cold water (I appreciated the heads up!). I was in dire need need of a haircut and a wash so I said yes I would tough it out with cold water. I get to the salon and Chloe asks me again if I want to wash my hair and I say yes. She continues to say "when I say cold water, I mean freezing! I just washed someone's hair and my hands went numb". Honestly to me it just sounded like she didn't want to do it and wanted the easy/lazy way out. She told me instead she could cut my hair dry which I had never had done before and told her I was nervous doing that, especially given my hair was wavy and was getting gritty due to a few days of dry shampoo. I wish I didn't, but I caved and said I would do a dry hair cut. I really wish she would have just accepted my response the first two times. Preparing for the haircut, I tell her I just need a trim and I have long layers I want to maintain. Every time I get a trim I get my layers trimmed as well - I've never had someone skip this part. Chloe tells me I "shouldn't need my layers trimmed". So she doesn't touch my layers, and ten minutes later, she is completely done with my cut. How does any care or thought go into a cut that takes ten minutes?! And she doesn't even spin me around to see the back of it. Since I couldn't get a blowout, she curls my hair, which I'm hoping will save the appearance of my hair. Nope. The ends of my hair, especially my layers look dry and straggly. Once again she didn't show me the back and after leaving the salon I can see why. She also didn't use hair spray. These pictures were taken immediately when I got in my car. Now my hair can hold a curl well, but I'm not sure what technique she was using on the back of my head. These don't resemble curls or waves at all. They just look messy and awful. Needless to say, I will be going home, washing my hair, and giving myself a blowout. Can't believe I paid $47 for a ten minute cut and crappy curling. read more

The girl at the register asked her manager Hailey who was quick to snap "Call customer service, there's nothing we can do" and rushed off to go stand by the door about 50 feet away and do nothing. Had a number of good haircuts and dye jobs done here. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. Prices are very reasonable. Called to book an appointment last month and was told I was forbidden from ever coming there again. I asked why, since my past haircuts here have been completely uneventful and I couldn't ever recall having a disagreement with a stylist and I'd never done anything like show up late, cancel, or no-show, and I always leave 20%+ tip, but they told me never to return. Go here and enjoy good service, but you never know how long it'll last! 1 star. read more

There isn't a low enough rating for this subpar salon. I don't blame the inexperienced stylist for the printed material that Ulta gives you for their service , pricing and time allowed for each procedure. But I do blame the stylist for not abiding by those prices and standards and attempting to charge more and/or give you less than the service you requested. But the worst part is having a nosy, belligerent other "stylist" try and interfere with a conversation with the manager. Nathaniel isn't trained well and has a chip on his shoulder and feels compelled to jump into a conversation that has nothing to do with him and when asks to please butt out by his manager, he threatens to call security. If Ulta expects anyone to try their salon, they need to hire better qualified and professional stylists. I had been warned that the people they hire aren't the most professional and Nathanial was the epitome of lack of professionalism not to mention self control.
