Had an EXCELLENT experience with 2 people in particular at this location. I recently moved to the area and was looking for someone to do my brows and Cynthia is now my go-to girl! I had my eye brows laminated by Cynthia who did a great job shaping and bringing my brows back to life. One person I want to give 10 stars to is Denise. I booked Denise for a makeup lesson because I was not feeling confident in myself or my makeup skills. Denise was fantastic. She answered all my questions. Showed me tips that work for me and really listened and understood where I was at and met me there. I really felt confident walking out of my appointment and I did not feel judged for wanting to learn more and maybe correct some bad habits. If you are like me and need a hands-on experience with someone talented, kind, and just overall a great person, Denise is YOUR girl. Thank you Ulta Team Bolingbrook. Every interaction that I had from your salon members to your beauty sales associates were fantastic. Great job! read more

I understand this is the corporate location. I placed a recent online order. Ulta shipped half of my order in a box and the other half in a padded mailer and both shipped and arrived on the same day so I have no idea the logic of the split shipment. As expected, all the items in the padded mailer had damage to the outer packages. After TEN emails back and forth with "Guest Services" and what I would guess is either an untrained rep or an AI slopbot, Edwin, determined it to be acceptable to receive the products in the condition they arrived and the only resolution would be to forward my feedback to their fulfillment team and carriers for future improvement. I advised him I did not feel this was an acceptable resolution, to which he essentially replied Ulta is not accountable for providing NEW products in outer packaging that hasn't been damaged and my only recourse is to return the products in person. There's nothing he could help me with. When I advised if that was seriously how this would be resolved, I would never purchase again, his reply was " We are happy we could help! Please let us know if you need anything else. Have a great day and thank you for contacting Ulta Beauty Guest Services!" I am baffled that this company thinks this is an acceptable response, which leads me to believe my issue was being handled by an AI bot. I will be boycotting Ulta after I return my entire order tomorrow. I would never recommend purchasing from them to anyone from this experience. read more

Why would people leave a bad review based on 1 experience? I have yet to experience anything negative from this location. The Lacome Reps are very thorough explaining the products and they actually use the products. Staring into a beautiful face that prove its products by using them, will sell me every time. I generally go and visit Leeza in the Salon who is not only a professional hair stylist, she's knowledgeable about hair care and does excellent work. Her attitude is bonus because she's sweet. I haven't noticed employees talking down another employee. In fact, Leeza recommended one of the Benefit associates for makeup and because that assoc. was busy, another assoc. quickly helped me. They seem to work together nicely. They welcome you into the store and seem to stay busy helping customers. The store is always neat and clean, and there's a lot of positive energy here. read more

The online customer service comes from this location in Bolingbrook Illinois. I had trouble finding certain hair products that I wanted to buy. So I looked on-line and found them on sale from Ulta. They were buy TWO get ONE free......So I bought TWO and didn't get one free of each. Here is what KILLS ME. I contacted the customer service about this.......I was told. THAT I NEED TO BUY THREE to get one free... Site say buy TWO get one free so why do I need to buy THREE to get one free. Buy TWO I should get the third free......I shouldn't have to type in buy 3 and hope one is free. read more

They are thieves and liars. Online ordering is a nightmare. Countless customers like myself have complained they experienced the same thing. Orders don't get delivered and you will not receive a refund. No one will resolve the issue, no one will follow up with you. Every rep you talk to lies that it has been escalated and someone will reach out. LIES!!! Boycott this dreadful business. A class action suit may be the only way to hold this awful company accountable. read more

They are fraudulent on returns! They will claim they never sent you a return label and say they never received the item. I'm out money and they know fare and well they can find proof I called in for my damaged items and they sent me a return label and that it was sent back read more

After I filed a complaint with the BBB, customer service rep Lacie sent me a new birthday gift certificate, refunded the money I paid for shipping, and directed me to a local store that had the birthday item I wanted. I was able to pick it up. I appreciate Lacie and the Ulta team remedying this error. Please, in the future, Ulta, just ship the correct item, no questions asked. read more

I paid $100.00 for makeup to be professionally done for a job interview, I came our looking worse than when I went in If they don't do professionally done make up don't offer it. I was horrified that I paid that much and looked worse than when I do it myself. I will never go back to Ulta and now I know why the one in Darien closed Ulta socks in Bolingbrook. read more

I haven't been able to place an order online since July. I have called multiple times and it wasn't resolved despite multiple supposed escalations, and I didn't receive a majority of the promised follow up calls/emails. I was told it was resolved on November 15th and I attempted to place an order but it didn't work, but my gift cart balance is now showing $0 balance, despite receiving no product. I have been incredibly unimpressed with the customer service I have received. read more

It's just....bad customer service. Maybe lazy? I'm not sure. They stood around talking instead of helping customers. I bought much less than what I needed since nobody had time to help me. I'd be super mad if I owned a business and my employees just stood around talking badly about their coworkers instead of actually doing their job. Won't be back. Sephora is better anyway. read more

Came here to specifically use a coupon for $10 off of $40 purchase. I read the fine print and made sure to get items included for the sale. Made sure to spend a little over 40. Went to rung up and I kept being told that it's saying not valid because I have to spend at least 40 so I kept grabbing small items from the bins up front, still nothing. Ended up have to spend more than I wanted because the coupon wasn't going through even though everything was valid? Same thing happened when I tried to use a birthday coupon a while back. I dont get it? read more

This company has the absolute worst customer service. I placed an order and immediately noticed that I hadn't updated my shipping address. Within 3 minutes of placing the order I called them, but they couldn't update the shipping address because they said the order was already with the shipper. Within 3 minutes. Totally unbelievable. And their shipper is possibly the worst shipper on the planet, and they will get an equally bad review. The worst part, though, is that I used points for this order, which was mostly a gift for someone. I will likely never receive the package, because of the shipper, and I won't be able to get my points back (over 3000 of them) because I DON"T HAVE PRODUCT TO RETURN. I will NEVER do business with this company again, and neither will most of my friends. I have spent a lot of money here over the years and now I regret every penny of it. Do yourself a favor. Go somewhere else. read more

I've been having an issue with Ulta's website for almost a month. My problem is I'm unable to complete my order without having a CVC problem. When attempting to place my order, an error message appears indicating the CVC. I use my Ulta Mastercard and unfortunately, it's declined due to CVC. I can use my card anywhere including an Ulta store without a problem. I've reached out to the corporate office. I am currently working with someone via email from Executive Escalations. Our emails are starting to sound repetitive and making zero sense. I have been told to attempt placing an order and provide the Bag ID#. I did and again another email was sent to try placing an order. I can't place an order. This is definitely an ITT issue. I am missing out on special offers and there have been many offers during the month of December. I don't know what to do at this point. Is there anyone out there who may read this direct me to an executive who will take the time to fix my problem? I'm beginning to get frustrated and impatient. Thank you. read more

They ship online orders with UDS instead of using a reliable shipping company like USPS, UPS, or FedEx. You would think they would want customers to receive their packages as quickly as possible, but honestly I don't think they care if they get them at all. My package has been sitting at the shipping location that is 20 minutes from my house for 3 days and now says that it's "running behind". I can make an order with their competitor 2 days after I make an order with ULTA, and receive the order from the competitor before getting the order from ULTA..and I get free shipping with the competitor. The rewards program and selection of products is great but if you don't receive what you order, does that really matter? read more

Last Christmas, we ordered three sets of cologne and only received one. We quickly called customer support who adamantly claimed that the package contained the correct number of items. Although we tried several times to resolve this and even involved the Maryland Attorney General, we did not receive the missing items or a refund. Our total loss was about $110. We have no reason to lie about the shipment and suggest that you do not order from this company. Crooks! read more

I find the front cover of your recent business flyer for August, 2021 very offensive. I am a Christian and have reverence for God. I realize what someone who doesn't know any better wants to name a product is out of your control, but you can control what you put on the front cover of your flyers that go out to thousands of customers. Just as there has been a heightened public consciousness to not offend others via race, ethnicity, gender, etc, this should also be extended to religion. If this uninformed woman wants to name her product after God, shame on her and shame on you for splashing that on the front cover of your flyer. The least you could have done to not be offensive to people who hold God in high honor would have been to advertise it on an inside page. I am throwing your flyer in the garbage and will take my business elsewhere! I would have given a rating below 1 star, but that's not available. read more

GIFT CARDS terrible experience. Bought one for daughter waiting to pay for hair services, got 6 emails, none of which included card # & pin. Linked to cashstar, got nothing. Got on chat, waited 10 min, was able to cancel card, but won't be refunded for 7-10 days. They took my money immediately, my cc was processing it within a minute. Called them, no help. Horrible way to handle gift cards. Store wouldn't allow me to give cc # on phone, said they couldn't enter it. read more
