I have shopped at Ulta multiple times, and I just want to say that every time I go in there, the employee's are so rude. I was in there yesterday and I looked right at an employee to ask a question and she literally ignored me and acted like I was not there, this is not even the first time this has happened. I'm not saying every employee is rude but it seems like every time I go in there, a handful of them are rude and not a pleasure to be around, if I have a question about something.. I walked in and shopped a couple of times. I have never had any help even when asked to help make a selection. No one in sight and busy chatting with each other. When asked a question they will simply point and not talk with you. I walked in to have my brows done. I had the manager state that I had to make an appointment. Okay, fine. They were not busy, another client came in and stated she came in before me with no appointment, which they knew she was not, but took her. I had to call for an appointment. It was poor form and will never go back. They are rude, unhelpful and I put all that I was going to purchase back and went to the mall. I will never shop there again. I want to get my haircut in the salon last of Ultra and my stylist was sweet and soft spoken, tho her hair was a hot mess. The manger was very rude and unpleasant, she told a customer that her hair was jacked up and asked why she even want to that salon. She was very unprofessional about handling the public. read more

I called on Monday and made an appointment with Kayla for Wednesday. I arrived about 15 minutes early and Kayla was ready and waiting for me. She took me to her chair and did a full consultation. I had been having some issues with my hair and made her aware of it. I showed her a couple pictures of what I had in mind and she over delivered. Kayla knows her stuff. I'm a hairstylist too and she kept me in the loop and consulted with me during my service. Everything from the color, to the cut, to the scalp massage was excellent. Kayla is super professional so I wasn't surprised when I saw she was the manager. She told me she was just hired on, and was going to turn this location into a success. I was worried about this Ulta because of previous reviews, but she put my mind at ease. Plus, the people who the reviews are about no longer work with Ulta. I will definitely return! I love shopping in Ulta, I've always found everyone super helpful, It's always organized, neat, and easy to find the items you're looking for. Well, this past week I decided to try out the salon. I had my hair done two days before this and it was messed up so I was looking to get it fixed. The lady was very nice, don't get me wrong but it really seemed as if she had no idea what she was doing, She had to ask me what toner to use, and what color she should go with. I was told she wasn't going to leave the treatment that I paid $40.00 for on my hair for the full five minutes because she "didnt have time for that", she was calling people and looking up images on google to try and figure out what to use on my hair. BUT what really set me over the edge is I have baby thin hair thats been previously bleached AND YOU DO NOT USE 40 VOL DEVELOPER ON THAT KIND OF HAIR. Well, she did and my hair is fried to a crisp. Also, she kept hitting my head with the blow dryer nozzle and I told her it was hot and she said sorry you have thin hair so I may hit your scalp sometimes, and continued to touch me with it as an example. Last but not least I was there for almost 7 hours and I have hair above the shoulders, it'd be much different if my hair came out the way it was supposed to, but it didn't.
