    Gorgeous bowls

Armed with high expectations propped up by reviews, an appetite magnified by the cold afternoon, I ordered Tantan Tonkotsu Ramen and Gyoza after being seated at the bar. As advertised a server brought a glass of cool water and a white cylinder on which he poured warm water. That cylinder expanded into my warm hand towel--whoa! Watching the owner check off his list and managing his kitchen crew was fascinating as I waited for my order. The restaurant wasn't busy mid-afternoon on a weekday so I wasn't surprised that my Ramen showed up within 7 minutes--they would need this throughput to keep up with the pace on weekends. I was quite taken by the presentation. Filaments of cucumber flecked with purple onion jewels and green onion nestled atop a broth of swirling orange with black garlic oil spots. Even the conical bowl was stunning. But my focus was being tugged toward that plume of earthy aroma wafting up towards me. I was not quite done taking photographs, but I had.to.try.a.bite. Tender silky ramen noodles... symphonic creamy stock punctuated with roasted black garlic oil--POW! Then, a morsel of squishy fatty beef... and a hit of chili oil heat! The deeper I crawled into that bowl, the happier I became. And the less I wanted to analyze this experience, but just revel in it. At some point, the caramelized gyoza came... it had thin wrappers and lovely filling... but I was so deeply swaddled by the ramen that I did not care. Sure, you may compare this place to other ramen shops around the world, even in Japan. But is that even humane to do so? I came with high expectations, and was seduced by the loving comfort that I adore from ramen. It transported me to a happy place where I did not care to analyze or evaluate if just for a few minutes. :D UPDATE: Had.to.return the next afternoon to eat more! Tried the Sanuki udon with Ebi tempura. The udon noodles have a nice squishy texture and the fish broth that's clear but dense. Then grind up the roasted sesame seeds and suddenly a nutty smokiness transforms the straight forward broth into magic like a kabuki costume on an actress. Tempura had delicate panko crumbs and dipping sauce with finely sliced green onion and spicy ginger paste.

It's a tiny place with good food. All made by hand meat was amazing and so were the noodles. Definitely quality and tasty food.

Good Ramen, Very Good Udon. Japanese cuisine seems to be flourishing in Warsaw, and this place has taking the lead. The ramen is good - not *great*, but definitely good - with the texture of the noodles being a high point (it's only let down by the broth, which is consistently not hot enough). The udon, otoh, is definitely *very* good, with great texture, consistency, and accoutrements. So, go...

My friend and I came here based on a recommendation from a local. We were surprised to find ramen to be a popular spot in Poland, but it definitely did not disappoint. The space is rather big. We were able to get seated right away, but there was a crowd the whole time were were there. We both got the original Tonkatsu ramen and it was so good. The broth was nicely done, and the noodles were so good. However, I would say the chasu pork wasn't as tender as I've had before. But overall, really great place for ramen abroad!

I am not a polish speaker so the staff was a bit rude at the entrance but didn't ruin the experience. The udon was great, not 5 star but still very nice. I recommend

Pros: delicious food, restaurant design, service, menu variety, English/Polish menu Cons: finding a table can be tricky (it's a popular spot) I family friend recommended this place so we decided to give it a try. It was great! They have a great selection of ramen and udon, so no matter what style of ramen/udon you prefer I'm positive you'll find something you'll like. I personally tried their traditional ramen and it was on point. The broth was strongly influenced by fish flavors, which is exactly what I was looking for. If you prefer stronger, meat-based broths, they have a pork udon bowl that somebody else ordered and was definitely a thicker, meaty broth. They also have Tempura and some appetizers in case you want to try more things! And if you have room for dessert, they have a matcha ice cream that was pretty awesome! Just beware that matcha ice cream can be a very particular flavor and not everybody likes it.

Bit of mixed feelings about that place. Biggest advantage? The food. No questions asked. It's freshly made, beautifully served and absolutely delicious. Person I was with, who used to live in Japan for a couple of years, confirmed that that's how it should taste like. Besides, plenty of Japanese people enjoying their meals there must be an indication as well. We tried Kama Ebi Gozen and cold Yasai Gozen - the later was better off the two. Sashimi and the desserts can also be recommended. Teas were good although we had a fee feeling macha ole was done on water rather than on milk. Other nice touches? Origami on display with address to some classes. Information on Japanese culture club. Cool music and Edisons lightbulbs. Oh and really awesome napkins :) So, cons. There's one. Potentially ground breaking. The time required to be seated and afterwards get your order taken and food served. It took us 3 hours from entering the place to leaving. And not because we were constantly eating etc. Part of that time could have been minimized with more efficient service. Don't get me wrong, it's a busy place and both waiters are extremely pleasant and helpful. Just be weary of potentially spending quite a bit there. In any case place worth visiting!

Uki uki is one of those places that as soon as you leave full and happy you start to plan next visit. Can't wait to get back there. They claim to be the only Japanese restaurant in Poland to make original noodles from scratch. And those are delicious. My friend and I got there on Friday afternoon. With no reservation but got table for two (they take reservations for 4+). The place is simple and neat. I like this Japanese design - fresh and bright. We shared fusion curry udon with shrimps and Kama-ebi gozen. If you ask me which one I liked better it's going to be hard to say. Both amazing with fresh ingredients and whats more- looked beautiful! Extra star for serving free water- this should be a standard in every restaurant. Another thing worth mentioning- the service. I loved everything about them. Smiley and chatty- happy to answer our questions. Our waiter explained what uki uki means, made us feel more than welcome and had great voice. Being at uki uki made me uki uki! I'm definitely coming back!

It was amazing! I loved that place for a first sight :) we have orders two dishes Kama Ebi Gozen and a dish with curry soup and tempura shrimps. I need to add that what is very nice about that place is service. We waited like 5 minutes only for menus and then food came really quick too! We go water to drink for both of us, ice cubes and sesame seeds. Shortly after that we got our food! When it comes to food it is very good! Portions are big and we were not able to finish it all, and we really regret that :) dishes are not only delicious but they also look amazing, you just have to fall in love with it! Tempura is also great, fresh and crispy!! I will definitely come back as this place is worth to be put on the list with best food in Warsaw. And what needs to be added is a fact that I think that place have one of the best staff ever! Every one is very nice, smiling and helpful :)

Kama kaki gozen and crab sticks

There was some fuzz about this place so I decided to check because I'm a fan of this kind of food and for a new place, I was not disappointed. I ordered Kama-Kaki Gozen (tempura kakiage, sweet potato, carrot, onion) + crab sticks and japanese green tea. Maybe it's adjusted to western countries but I was honestly glad about most of things and taste. Great: details of plates typical asian, glasses for tea and sesame seeds, wet towel to wash hands and modern and fresh decoration. The staff is lovely, the atmosphere has energy and peace and I could relax there. Also the location is great, Krucza is a famous street for modern restaurants and bars. It's true that there is no ramen yet but maybe they're trying the market? More options in the menu can be a good bet because lots of people here appreciate this food! So-so: like said here before, the waiting time. I had timing so I didn't wait at all but ppl after me were not so lucky. The thing here is that it's not that big (although ir's a good space comparing to other restaurants in Warsaw) and the staff is reduced for the amount of ppl they're having. Comparing to other places I've been w/ this type of cuisine, I'm sure the problem would be solved if there were more chefs but well, it's a growing business, so be patient people!

I forgot to photograph my salad though...

Not my first experience at Uki Uki and I regret NOT writing a review when I first visited the restaurant earlier this summer. Shame because it was such a great experience; Lovely introduction by the waiting staff to your your meal. Delicious, freshly prepared food...just about the best tasting broth I've ever had. Fast service. Really fast, contrary to what the other reviews say. The decor is pleasantly minimalistic and it just makes you feel like you're in Tokyo for lunch. They get points for taste and presentation, that's for sure. Now my second visit, nothing less than the last time, great food and presentation is still going strong! However, we had one small problem with one of the orders. Again, the staff and the manager were extremely accommodating and quick to act. This swiftness left a permanent impression. It saddens me that people would write off multiple of great experiences just because of a single small problem once in every blue moon. I must admit that I've been one of those people, not realizing that a restaurant can have a bad day too. So thank you Uki Uki for allowing me to come to that humane realization. P.S : I cannot stress how lovely the staff and the manager were, I'll definitely be back again.

Wow! I write this as I'm currently sitting in the restaurant. The ramen is very very good, I got the spicy one, and it's perfect. Not only that, I got my food within 5 minutes of ordering it. All around great experience

A soba bar in Warsaw? Why not? We came around 14:30 and the place was about half full. I knew this was a good place when I get a towel uto clean my hands before the meal. Something more places should adopt. Reading about the long times waiting times I was pleasantly surprised when food arrived really quickly. The taste was like what you can get on the corner in Tokyo. Nice balance of crispy tempura and chewy noodles. The matcha ice cream was smooth and the perfect end to a very nice lunch/dinner.
