Japchae
Marcus H.

The food was good but not enough to justify the wait or price point. Almost $50 for the portion of pork belly pictured. No AYCE option but lots of tasty Korean classics. Enjoyed the japchae and the fried chicken but the corn cheese and tteoboki would probably not order again if I came back. I usually love these dishes when eating at KBBQ spots but the versions here just didn't do it. The drinks were phenomenal, my favorite being the tropical sake but all of the cocktails I'd recommend. Our server was awesome but we didn't get his name. Made some great drink/food recommendations when present. It took a while for any items to come out after ordering. About 25-30 mins for water and drinks alone. Once we tapped another server to check on the status of our items everything started to flow out so it's possible they were backed up or forgot us. I'd recommend a reservation for any parties larger than 2. Also a heads up if you don't plan to order any meats (KBBQ on grill) you will have to sit at the bar. We were told this is to make room for patrons ordering BBQ as most tables have built in grills. Casual atmosphere, good music, moody lighting, and sort of gastropub feel.

I wenr there with my family last night,3 adults two kids, dinner was extremely overpriced,$300 usd,incredible... food was not the best in the world, super simple, even the bottled water $3.25,no tap water for clients, you have to buy it!! service was ok,food was not!!! little mini plates with ripe plantains,3 slices of cucumbers, the minimum,a little plate of chicken for you to cook in the table grill $48 ,incredible!!! We do not recomend this turist trap!!

Excelente comida y servicio por parte de Melanie. Ambiente agradable. El lugar muy recomendado!!

Bulgogi

I'm puzzled by all the 1-star reviews. Everybody is entitled to their opinion and experiences vary; however, I have to completely disagree based on my experience. Is it 100% authentic? Of course not. There is no Korean community here, so finding certain ingredients will be very hard to come by. But that doesn't mean it is bad. Far from it. Please note that this review is solely based on the bbq. I haven't tried the non-bbq items. As for the bbq goes, I thought it was excellent. We ordered the classics: bulgogi, galbi, and pork belly. They were all delicious, especially the bulgogi and galbi. The sides (banchan) were also good, including the kimchi, which is house made. It was mildly spicy. I went with my wife, son, and a friend. We went on a Friday night at around 7pm. I had called in the afternoon to make a reservation but was told they don't take reservations. First come, first serve. There is no parking, nor valet. It's all street parking. Calle Loiza is a busy street at night, thus parking can be a pain. We found a spot on a side street. I prefer street parking on or north of Calle Loiza. Less sketchy. It was a packed house. Wait time was about 30-40 min. We were discussing other options when they called us. Once seated, service was in point considering the busy night. Our server was great. It turns out he was the owner's son, and the woman who greeted us his sister. This is a family run business. We even had a chance to chat with the owner after we ate. They were all very nice. The vibe is hip and fun. Reminded me of a brewery minus the board games. The restaurant is nicely decorated and clean. The experience, as a whole, was perfect. Having lived in LA, I've had ny fair share of k-bbq. While this one wasn't fully authentic, what was authentic was the k-bbq experience that I felt I got: great company, great food, great service, fun atmosphere. I would return, this time to try the non-bbq items. I also recommend checking this place out. It's certainly not 1-star material.

This has just become one of my favorite restaurants in PR. I had always been interested in dining here but was always skeptical about it. A Korean restaurant in PR is unheard of and having lived in LA several years I thought I would be massively let down. I am glad I was proven wrong. This place serves up some excellent Korean bbq. Reminded me of LA. We ordered the bulgogi, galbi, and pork belly. They were all good, but the bulgogi and galbi stood out. The sides were also very tasty. We also ordered the chicken wings and bulgogi bao buns as appetizers. I recommend both but if I had to choose one I would prefer the bao buns. To top off an excellent dinner, the service was outstanding. We met the owner. He is Puerto Rican, but has traveled to LA's K-town to learn and improve his dishes. His passion shows in the food. Also, it is a family run business and his grown kids work there too. They were all very nice and made a good dining experience great. I will be back. They don't take reservations and they close at 9pm. Get there early to avoid a long wait.

$16 for this tiny portion

This is the worst Korean bbq restaurant we've been to, the food is terrible! We've been to many Korean bbq and this is by far the worst. Only thing good was the service. The beef was so salty and the pork belly nasty. They took 45 minutes to bring out the food & the portions were tiny. They charged us almost $17 for five bottles of water. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Let's starts off with the service, it was a bit confusing but overall pretty decent. The people they had serving were a bit awkward but still pretty nice. The food was mid for the price. It was very expensive and it did not fufill my expectations. Overall pretty good ambience, wasn't too hot or too cold, the music was decent as well, really enjoyed the Kpop though. Overall everything was just okay, wouldn't say bad or too good, just okay. The wait for the food also took more than 45 mins, and one of my friends food they even forgot about so she had to wait an extra 20 minutes for it to be made. Once again overpriced for not good food.

Moscow mules

Perfect for a date night, dinner with friends ! Loved the ambience, staff was so polite and attentive. Moscow mules are a must have ! These people really know how to make a perfect Moscow mule. The sweet potato noodles are a must have, we also ordered the Korean wings and 10 out of 10 ! So crispy yet juicy on the inside and the sauce was bomb. Def going back !! Parking can be a little tricky but if you go to their insta page they will show you with a map where you can find good parking. My apologies I was too hungry I devoured everything but I will be going back to take photos

ZERO STARS. The managers on duty or owners are terrible people to their employees in the face of their customers, I had second hand embarrassment all night and full blown anger. All in all, the price point isn't horrifying but it could be better, the ambiance is cute, they play Kpop, service is slow and the restaurant is small. I'd recommend only if you have low expectations & aren't too picky with covid procedures because they aren't TOO careful. As a manager myself, it's embarrassing how they talk to their staff, clap at them to hurry them up, cut them off while speaking to tables, make you reuse disposable plates etc. Y'all should be embarrassed. I left a longer more detailed review on their Facebook page if anybody wants to read that. And don't even respond to me here with the same disrespectful crap you have said to other clients. Just get your sh*t together & RESPECT YOUR STAFF.

Food was good, service was ok. I could not comprehend why it takes so long to bring out raw meat and white rice?? For the price you would hope the service would be more prompt... went here because I miss South Korean cuisine, it came close. They need topakki, and it would be great if they brought out more pickled vegetables... and kimchi of course.
