I've been a member of both this Location and Waikele for over 10years and have been pretty satisfied. But I wish this location would do a better job with upgrading the Speakers in their Fitness room. For a few months the speakers are either blown out or won't connect at all it's very irritating when you're taking Zumba, Cycling, or Body Pump and everything just cuts out. Majority of the free weights in the room, the plastic is cracked off which I've gotten cut by. I also wish they could enforce Guest watching their kids during class to not sit on the equipment as their are others that actively want to use the machine especially during peak hours. But overall it is a great gym and the Staff is absolutely incredible and welcoming, It's very clean and they have a great Armbar that's well stocked. read more

I've been a member of UFC Gym since the opening of UFC in Honolulu. I am an avid cyclist and cycle at the Mililani, Waikele and Kailua locations. I love the Mililani coach, but the vibe is off whenever the music/speaker and monitor doesn't work. It's been going on for several months and I've been going to other locations because of this. However, UFC's cycling coach - AJ is the best that UFC has and if it wasn't for her, then I wouldn't be coming back to Mililani. Please fix your stereo system. My family and I pay a lot for our gym membership every month and deserve better. Mahalo! read more

I've been a loyal member of this gym for years, and this is honestly the first time I've ever felt compelled to leave a negative review. The turf area has become unsanitary and it clearly isn't being cleaned on a regular basis. There's a strong, lingering stink that hits you as soon as you walk near the turf. It smells like built-up sweat and bacteria that haven't been properly addressed. For a high-traffic, high-contact training area, this isn't a small oversight, it's a hygiene issue. Members are putting their hands, knees, and sometimes faces directly on that surface. It should be sanitized consistently, not left to accumulate grime and odor. I understand gyms get busy and maintenance can be challenging, but basic cleanliness, especially in shared training areas, should be a priority. After being a member for years without a single complaint, it's frustrating to see the standards slip like this. I got a membership for a couple of months. The facility is nice. I liked the music, but the front desk isn't always friendly.

The only downfall to this gym is the two workers that work Friday mornings in their kids club. During drop off I would not get greeted. There's the guy worker just in the corner and the girl worker always has her back faced towards me just scrolling on her phone. Then when I pickup my child I notice that they are only attending to this one specific child EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. After asking around I've been told that those workers are actually in a relationship. Is this allowed and does management know? I feel like they would be on different shifts if they knew about their relationship. And the child that I notice them playing with and attending to is actually the girl workers son. So basically this is a free childcare for the couple! They're basically getting paid to watch and play with their own child. read more

This night UFC Gym has graciously closed (5pm-9pm) to host a "Girls Night In" event which was open to the public to celebrate and highlight these locally small businesses all owned by Women! Rejuvenate is a reality here as I love to support local and on this Women History Month and being a crafter myself it just hits a special spot in my heart to show them some love. I frequent Mililani UFC and Waikele UFC. Both have their pros and cons, and really enjoy the variety of classes with both locations. Love the vibe here, and although sometimes it could be better customer service. It isn't terrible, and I do enjoy the workers who are friendly and greet every customer who comes in. I hadn't been to this gym in about three months ( I regularly use Waikele which is far more maintained) and immediately regretted coming back. It's clear the facility has not been properly maintained. I was there earlier in the day when it wasn't busy, so the issues I noticed weren't due to high traffic, but rather a lack of attention to detail and overall care. Several machines were in poor condition. I started on the hip abductor machine, where the adjustment switches were extremely difficult to move. One was even bulging out, as if it were about to break. The machine wasn't lubricated, making the movement stiff and uncomfortable. I hoped this was a one-off issue, but the shoulder press machine had the same problem with jammed switches. Even more frustrating, none of the sanitation stations had paper towels. I checked three different ones, and all were completely empty, which is unacceptable regardless of the time of day. The boxing area was also in rough shape, with sweat stains visible on multiple surfaces, clearly not being cleaned regularly. Overall, this gym shows consistent signs of neglect. I joined this gym a few months ago and it's on the higher end as far as price goes. I attend the spin class every Tuesday morning, the class is great, the instructor is super motivating BUT the it seems like half the bikes are broken in some way and the microphone hasn't been working. This really causes the effects of the class to be diminished and the instructor is losing her voice. Management needs to fix this problem ASAP! read more

I came to do fascia stretch therapy for arthritis and avoid taking nonsteroidal anti inflammatory (NSAID) medications which has caused gastric bleeding. Insurance doesn't cover this but it's important for functionality and quality of life. Nate is the most experience high quality Certified FST. Not only do your joints get relief, but other muscles that may be stuck. What can I say...total relief! He coaches exercise program. To get him as a coach is a gem. I was lucky the day I came into the hymn because he's book and would have to wait for months before there's an open. The best of the best is here. I can't say enough of this guy. If he's busy, there are few other coaches that are FST certified. You should check them out. They are friendly, cordial, and professional. My first experience with UFC and have not been disappointed! I train here about 3x times a week and find the consistent positive trainers, awesome music and participants who take class create a perfect workout environment. I started after having my 4th kid and getting diagnosed with SI joint dysfunction (30% mobility). My personal trainer, Amanda A served as a motivator, sounding board and at times a drill sergeant lol!!! I love that they provide safe parking, water and most importantly the same group of quality trainers are there to personally get to know you and push you in the right way. Arm bar with yummy goodies. Customer service is THE BEST!!! Front desk is always happy, ALWAYS! They really do seem like they love their job. Many squat racks! After school hours are super busy.. so avoid them.. but around 4 it starts slowing down! Lots of activities for kids-- workout classes, boxing & JiuJitsu. There are only 3 cycle classes a week which are always filled to capacity and hard to get into (max capacity is 25 and the you have to join a waitlist). The gym needs to hire an additional cycle instructor based on the need/want for the classes. It isn't fair to pay for a membership that includes cycle classes and not have enough spaces to be able to go. There could be additional classes made at 6am or other nightly spots made available to accommodate the need. It just doesn't make sense to have a cycle class that always reaches capacity without expanding it to be available to members through additional times/days. read more

Getting the courage to sign up for membership at UFC mililani was one of the best decisions I've made. Because I was new to the gym and unsure of what workouts to do or if my form was correct, I would always hide out in the exercise room never attempting to venture out in the weight area or subject myself to be seen on the turf. Love. This. Gym. I'm a gym rat and very particular about my gym. This gym has it all, yes really. Excellent, state of the art equipment. Two lifting stations/squat racks. Bumper plates. Kettlebells in all sizes. Tons of dumbbells. Only thing missing is a girl bar (35lb bar) for us female weightlifters. Plenty of cardio equipment. Classes from yoga (Val is AWESOME) to martial arts to the very popular DUT. Something for everyone from young kids to active seniors. Staff is second to none, everyone is incredibly friendly, positive, helpful, and keep the facility looking spotless all the time. Sauna is large and nice-and-hot. Showers are always available and clean. Keiki zone has great hours (7 days a week) and capable staff who can deal with rambunctious elementary kids to fussy babies. They rock! Music is loud, so I stopped wearing headphones. Always good tunes and switch up the playlists. Open 24 hours, fits anyone's schedule. Loads of parking nearby (unlike 24 Hour Fitness in Mililani), and I've never had to walk far. Very convenient location, and I typically run my Town Center errands during my gym time. read more

Used to like this gym pre-covid but once the pandemic hit and we tried to cancel the subscription (since everything was shut down and we didn't want to expose ourselves more than we needed too --hello home gym!) we found out that they make it almost IMPOSSIBLE to cancel. We tried calling multiple times and no one would answer. We had to walk in to cancel and even then we're left waiting for like 30 min and told to Potentially come back the next day, but we said no we'd wait. If I could give NO stars I would. It's sad how 1 staff member could tarnish a whole business's name. On Tuesday, September 27th 2022 I went with my husband to Mililani UFC gym. He brought me there on a guest pass to see if I would like it. That morning would have been my 3rd day there. Unfortunately, as we walked in like the other days before, we said hello to the staff at the desk, my husband scanned his member bar code, and I walked ahead of him into the gym area. A woman behind the desk yelled at me "whoaaa try come back over here, you cannot be going in there. He doesn't even have a membership that allows guest!" She not only yelled, but had major attitude problems and a stink looking face. (This was honestly shocking to endure in an establishment like "UFC Gym"). I turned around and came to the desk where my husband told her "what are you talking about? I can bring guest in". She continued to have an attitude, her body language was pilau and said "try hold on" and beginning typing in my husbands name. They were arguing loudly at the front desk and going back and forth. When she was pulling up his info, she continued yelling he can't have guests. While my husband looked at the keypad with his account info, all his guest names popped up on the screen. He told her there's all his guest info as it had been in his account. After she saw his info, she tried to switch it up and say he can have a guest and all I need to do is register on the keypad. (The prior two days no one asked me to do that, and doing it was not a problem but maybe as a manager, she should have all her staff on the same page?) At that point I was absolutely disgusted that this staff member was acting the way she was. I told her I would not ever go into their gym, I'll go to another gym and that was despicable what she did and how she did that. She said "good, by all means please find another gym to go to" and still with her stink attitude. She was smirking and being sarcastic, it was truly shocking. I asked her what her name was and she said "Sure! I'll get you a card! My name is CARI NISHIMURA and I am the GENERAL MANAGER! Go ahead and do whatever you want with it." She was laughing, stomping her feet, rolling her eyes and throwing major attitude. I am still in disbelief days later that that was the general manager and that she treats people like that. That is shameful and embarrassing for UFC Gym and Mr. BJ Penn (who's name is on that gym). I don't know how someone in that position would ever think it's ok to treat anyone like that. If we did this at my work place (the hospital), we would be investigated and terminated. It is NOT acceptable. We left the gym, and I don't plan on ever returning to that gym. I actually purchased a gym membership elsewhere after that day, Cari made it very easy for me to make my decision on not getting a membership with UFC Gym. On top of that disaster, when I called corporate office, the 877# is disconnected. The email they listed seems active but 3 days later and still no response from anyone. I called the Honolulu location and spoke with an "Anna" who was also very rude and not helpful. She did not want to help, and didn't care. I called the Huntington Beach location and spoke with a wonderful operations manager (1 (657) 215-4700) who gave me the operations manager for Hawaiis location (Michael Kelleher). I have emailed him and have not got a response yet. I will be reporting this to the BBB and anywhere else I can. This woman should not be employed there and definitely should not be a manager or the face for this company. read more

I am giving this gym a 1 star rating because if the gym closes at 10pm, us paying members should have access to the gym entirely till the facility closed. For example: when I come there several hours before closing, I find the room where they host classes -- closed due to cleaning. I understand that the place needs to be cleaned but it should be during off peak hours. And we originally pay for a 24 hour gym membership and for them to only allow us partial access to the facility is unfair. read more

My 15 year old son had a membership here and paid his first month and last month apon signing up. It was fine until the Pandemic hit. He paid for the month of March 2020 in advance but they shut down early due to state orders which is understandable. He tried to cancel the membership over the phone but they wouldn't allow it. They opened in June and said have to come in person to cancel. He came in with me and we were able to cancel but they said he still owe's another month??! He also paid his last month dues when he signed up so where does that get credit to?! I've explained this and now the $71.22 monthly due has turned into $626.00 and now will ding his credit!! He tried everything he could and make this right. If a lawyer reads this is....is there a case for punitive damages since my son tried everything he could and now his credit is damaged for future earnings? read more

did a drop in here December 14th paid the $25 asked the desk guy if they had towels he said so we don't have any left it was like 1pm so I went and bought a towel came back and wow this place is fithy not dirty it was bad anyways figured if I did my small workout and showered without touching to much I wouldn't catch hiv, I decided to work some shoulders went to use a cable machine and there was a boat load of ropes and not bad ropes but there was a total of zero handles one member brought his own so this is clearly a known problem. went for the shower room which stunk like sweat cause running a mop on there sticky floors would be crazy, I turned that shower on after carefully placing my towel and cloths on my water bottle and shoes cause I didn't want to catch anything like before. the water was cold though maybe I was just an idiot and don't know how to turn on a shower. but no the water was cold. honestly if I wasn't coming from the beach and heading to an airplane with no other place to have a shower I would have walked out. my biggest regret was paying cash if I paid with my card both mine and my wife's day pass would have been a refund. not sure the rules here but public health would shut this place down where I come from. it's not a one off either the one on the other side of the island was the same. I would put my name and cell on this post but I'm sure it wouldn't get published with it. I didn't say anything when I left mostly because the guy when I signed up most probably couldn't tie his shoes by him self. Gyms not to packed in the morning, from 4am- around 6am it starts to o'clock up after that but you are never really waiting on machines or or free weight. All though the sauna is a little different as now well not now but when COVID hit they are allowing on 2 people at a time in the sauna, other than that love this place!!!! read more

Today is August 25th, 2020 and I've been charged another month, even though on July 28, 2020 I canceled with them and they sent me this email saying, "Aloha Prizzilla, Thank you for your email. We have received your cancellation request via contact form online and have cancelled it today. No further charges going forward." DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! I've been trying to cancel since March because they still charged me while in quarantine, and I've yet to find any option to cancel online. I've called multiple times attempting to cancel recently and no answer, but they conveniently tried charging my card again even with COVID cases here increasing. We bought my son a 3 year prepaid membership before covid ONLY because they said they would match my husband's rate after the three years. Because of covid he stopped going and I think he had about a year left. Recently, we decided that it'd be ok for him to start going again but UFC refused to honor matching my husband's rate. They said too much time had passed since his 3 years ended and they couldn't understand that covid happened and now that we are ready to let him go back to the gym it's too late. Even though the General Manager at the time put it in the notes under his account. The best offer they could give was to sign him up for another 3 year prepaid membership at the same price we originally paid which, if I remember correctly, came out to about $28 a month. My husband's membership was $18 a month. We were actually considering it until my husband suggested we look at what 24 hr fitness had to offer. I'm super glad we did! 24 Hour Fitness has a one year prepaid membership that comes out to $28/month but my son can bring 2 guests EVERY time. If they are under 18 their parent just has to give consent the first time they go with him. UFC Gym only allows one guest and they have to be over 18. So not only did I not have to drop 3 years worth of membership at once but his friends can go with him for free. So glad I didn't have to continue to support a gym that lied to us and refused to honor what was said when we initially signed up. read more

LOVE LOVE LOVE this gym. Front desk staff is amazing. Love attending AJ Jones's RIPPED and KILLER cycle class and would highly recommend attending both of her classes she is amazing. You just have to get a pass at the desk for the KILLER CYLCE CLASS. The Daily Ultimate Training classes are amazing as well and will definitely give you the workout you need in 1 hour! I love that when I go at 5am that it isn't as packed as going at night. They even have guest passes if you want to try the gym to see if it's right for you. Due to Covid shutting down pretty much everything, I took a long break from working out and basically being in gym setting. I was definitely not happy with how I looked and wanted to start over. I've been to other gyms before but didn't want to go back because the vibes were off. I decided to give UFC a try after hearing great things through family members who have current memberships. I was very impressed with the staff, as they were super welcoming and friendly! Makes the gym more enjoyable. I initially just decided to do my own thing but one of the coaches, Coach RANDY approached me and informed me of a complementary training session that new members get. At first, I was like ehhhh....probably the typical but decided to give it a try. My first session with Coach Randy was DEADLY. I haven't worked out as hard as I did for a long time. It felt good to have someone push you and not let you quit. I was once again, IMPRESSED. I continued to work with him and have seen a lot of changes in my strength and also my physique in the past few months. Coach Randy is flexible with his time and also helps reach specific goals. The coaches.... I like that the coaches are experts in what they teach. They ask you if you've taken classes before. What really stood out to me was the JuJitsu coach Brandon. He invites his students to stay after class and come to the open mat classes on other days. He wants you to learn. He makes it fun too, great sense of humor. You don't know what to expect! Definitely taught me a few things, The vibes.... Like any gym, you keep to yourself and less people will interrupt you. But it's nice to say hello make eye contact too. Eventually you have to and the vibes are great. Laws of attraction -- friendly people will attract friendly people and you'll have fun time. The classes... The groups are good size and different skill levels so you fit in. Especially at Millilani, there's these regulars that welcome you and just feels like home! Ive had that experience at UFCgym waikele and HONOLULU too. A long time ago and I missed it. Very heart warming to revisit those vibes, super happy to be back in classes. I'll be coming Mondays to Millilani! And occasional Tuesdays. FYI, the gym.... Clean. Well kept. Locker room is so different from Honolulu location.
