I have been a UFC GYM Mililani member for two years, and I understand that group classes are an important part of the gym's services. However, on one particular day, I attempted to use the StairMaster machines but was told I could not because a class was in progress. Later, I was informed that I could use the equipment after all, as the class was supposed to last 20 minutes. However, about 10 minutes later, I was approached again and asked to stop and move, which caused confusion and disrupted my workout. I believe that, as a paying member, I should have reasonable access to the equipment included with my membership. The StairMaster is one of the few cardio machines I can comfortably use, so being unable to access it meant that I could not complete my planned workout that day. I am not asking for classes to be discontinued. I simply hope the gym can arrange the class setup in a way that does not completely prevent other members from using the equipment. I would appreciate it if management could look into this and consider a solution that allows both class participants and other members to use the facility comfortably. Thank you for taking the time to listen to my concern. I have been a member for two years and value the gym, so I hope we can find a reasonable solution. read more

Tried a Jiu-Jitsu class and unfortunately it felt very unwelcoming. The coaches (father and son) were unapproachable, unhelpful, and honestly came across like their egos were bigger than their coaching abilities. There was no real effort to make new students feel comfortable or included. The only people who actually took the time to help me were a male blue belt (in his 20s), and a female purple belt (in her teens) and they were both genuinely kind and helpful. They honestly made up for the lack of support from the coaches. Overall, a very disappointing experience and definitely not a gym I'd return to. read more

When I first moved to mililani, the town center was soooo cool to me. My first time walking around I was so amazed at how much there was to offer us as consumers. But soon as I saw UFC Gym, my wife couldn't even stop me. I HAD to go in. Immediately the front desk workers welcomed me in, directed me to someone that could answer questions and show me around. At the time I was just looking around. But as time progressed I eventually became a member and ever since, I've really enjoyed being a member here! The recovery area is awesome, the equipment is nice and sleek! Granted all gyms have some equipment that's down, and obviously humans have bad days, so when the employees aren't having the best day, I give em grace. They never ever give me hard time. For real tho shoutout to that entire staff! I forget some of their names, but Shoutout to Hilo, shoutout to Cari! Shoutout to Cassidy! Shoutout to Yoshi and his braddah! Shoutout to Jaz and Po'o! Shoutout to Coach Keola! Shoutout to Coach Lawrence! Shoutout aunty Stacie! Shoutout Unko Shan! read more

Management needs an overhaul. Accused of something that didn't happen and not given a detailed explanation and banned from gym for a couple of days. I never showed there for over a week and planned to leave membership thinking that I had to still pay for the month, but a manager had already decided to put a hold on my account. They said I don't need to put it in writing, that they'll just cancel for me. There you go, making their own rules up. I recommend not to join there. For 2 years a member and they occasionally have facility shutdowns with late announcements. Poorly run. Plates not put back, no paper towels, no toilet paper, no staff to watch front desk at times. Crowded high prices. read more

I've been a member of UFC Gym since the opening of UFC in Honolulu. I am an avid cyclist and cycle at the Mililani, Waikele and Kailua locations. I love the Mililani coach, but the vibe is off whenever the music/speaker and monitor doesn't work. It's been going on for several months and I've been going to other locations because of this. However, UFC's cycling coach - AJ is the best that UFC has and if it wasn't for her, then I wouldn't be coming back to Mililani. Please fix your stereo system. My family and I pay a lot for our gym membership every month and deserve better. Mahalo! read more

Visits: 5 Dates: vary Times: 8am or 3pm What they got right: Clean gym, friendly staff and coach Lawrence! Oh! And location with lots of parking! Areas for improvement: more space? Haha! Popular spot for teens & adults. Hubby & I decided to improve ourselves this year and joined UFC since 24 Hour Fitness had a poor parking situation. I was matched up with coach Lawrence and he's been awesome in helping me get back on track with my balance and strength training. He encourages you to do more but also supports you so you don't feel down when you can't do that extra "one". He'll sneak in that "one" after a short break. Hahaha!! I feel stronger and motivated to work out more. read more

I've been a loyal member of this gym for years, and this is honestly the first time I've ever felt compelled to leave a negative review. The turf area has become unsanitary and it clearly isn't being cleaned on a regular basis. There's a strong, lingering stink that hits you as soon as you walk near the turf. It smells like built-up sweat and bacteria that haven't been properly addressed. For a high-traffic, high-contact training area, this isn't a small oversight, it's a hygiene issue. Members are putting their hands, knees, and sometimes faces directly on that surface. It should be sanitized consistently, not left to accumulate grime and odor. I understand gyms get busy and maintenance can be challenging, but basic cleanliness, especially in shared training areas, should be a priority. After being a member for years without a single complaint, it's frustrating to see the standards slip like this. After being a member for years without a single complaint, it's frustrating to see the standards slip like this. I really hope management takes this seriously and prioritizes deep cleaning and regular maintenance of the turf. I'd love to continue speaking highly of this gym, but this needs immediate attention. read more

I hadn't been to this gym in about three months ( I regularly use Waikele which is far more maintained) and immediately regretted coming back. It's clear the facility has not been properly maintained. I was there earlier in the day when it wasn't busy, so the issues I noticed weren't due to high traffic, but rather a lack of attention to detail and overall care. Several machines were in poor condition. I started on the hip abductor machine, where the adjustment switches were extremely difficult to move. One was even bulging out, as if it were about to break. The machine wasn't lubricated, making the movement stiff and uncomfortable. I hoped this was a one-off issue, but the shoulder press machine had the same problem with jammed switches. Even more frustrating, none of the sanitation stations had paper towels. I checked three different ones, and all were completely empty, which is unacceptable regardless of the time of day. The boxing area was also in rough shape, with sweat stains visible on multiple surfaces, clearly not being cleaned regularly. Overall, this gym shows consistent signs of neglect. Very disappointing experience. read more

Working things out in more ways than one at UFC Gym is an understatement... This night UFC Gym has graciously closed (5pm-9pm) to host a "Girls Night In" event which was open to the public to celebrate and highlight these locally small businesses all owned by Women! Rejuvenate is a reality here as I love to support local and on this Women History Month and being a crafter myself it just hits a special spot in my heart to show them some love. Oh how I was wrong...THEY showered me with such unconditional uniqueness to brighten my night like I've never expected ever! Some of the ladies I instantly loved and rarely make any pop up appearance it's as if it was a blessing to have crossed path, I've learned so much that I would never ever have possibly imagined. - The Wellnest (B12 Shot...loved the energy!) - Tarot Card Pull (Very informative) - Sophia's Place (Beautiful healing bracelets) - Olive Branch (Charcuterie cups...bougie togo!) - Scoop Scoops (The best sherbet!) - Fudge Yeah! (Seriously the best fudge ever!) - IYKYK Sticker (Fun expressive stickers) - Shoyu Esthetics (Someone that may actually help my ankle/foot) - The Poofy Pineapple (Cute poofy amiguri) We all have our own happy place weather it's shopping, pampering services, yummy treats or just working out I adore all these women that makes our world a much better place...thank you to UFC Gym for the positive vibe you've so graciously given! I got a membership for a couple of months. The facility is nice. I liked the music, but the front desk isn't always friendly.

I frequent Mililani UFC and Waikele UFC. Both have their pros and cons, and really enjoy the variety of classes with both locations. Love the vibe here, and although sometimes it could be better customer service. It isn't terrible, and I do enjoy the workers who are friendly and greet every customer who comes in. Definitely enjoy the sauna one of the main reasons I come to this location. read more

The gym it self is great, classes the equipment are top notch. Main issue is the broken tiles in the sauna that has been there for 3-4 months from what I can recall. I joined this gym a few months ago and it's on the higher end as far as price goes. I attend the spin class every Tuesday morning, the class is great, the instructor is super motivating BUT the it seems like half the bikes are broken in some way and the microphone hasn't been working. This really causes the effects of the class to be diminished and the instructor is losing her voice. Management needs to fix this problem ASAP! read more

Jordan explained patiently the different type of memberships and benefits, current promotions, and used options to meet our request and financial budget. Jordan provided a level of service that truly exceeded our expectations and made us feel valued as a customer that we haven't felt in a long time. My first experience with UFC and have not been disappointed! I train here about 3x times a week and find the consistent positive trainers, awesome music and participants who take class create a perfect workout environment. I started after having my 4th kid and getting diagnosed with SI joint dysfunction (30% mobility). My personal trainer, Amanda A served as a motivator, sounding board and at times a drill sergeant lol!!! I love that they provide safe parking, water and most importantly the same group of quality trainers are there to personally get to know you and push you in the right way. Getting the courage to sign up for membership at UFC mililani was one of the best decisions I've made. Because I was new to the gym and unsure of what workouts to do or if my form was correct, I would always hide out in the exercise room never attempting to venture out in the weight area or subject myself to be seen on the turf. I decided to get a coach and I have no regrets. Coach RANDY reached out and was available to meet my busy schedule. From the get go he was enthusiastic and very positive about helping me get into shape. His energy, vibe and continued encouragement made me feel comfortable working out on equipment I wouldn't have tried on my own. I have been working with coach Randy for 3 months now and can honestly say I'm in the BEST shape of my life. Coach randy is an expert in fitness and designs his workouts to give you results. The BURN you feel during and after his workouts only proves how effective and knowledgeable he really is. It becomes addicting after a while and also gives you that extra confidence in the gym. Love. This. Gym. I'm a gym rat and very particular about my gym. This gym has it all, yes really. Excellent, state of the art equipment. Two lifting stations/squat racks. Bumper plates. Kettlebells in all sizes. Tons of dumbbells. Only thing missing is a girl bar (35lb bar) for us female weightlifters. Plenty of cardio equipment. Classes from yoga (Val is AWESOME) to martial arts to the very popular DUT. Something for everyone from young kids to active seniors. Staff is second to none, everyone is incredibly friendly, positive, helpful, and keep the facility looking spotless all the time. Sauna is large and nice-and-hot. Showers are always available and clean. Keiki zone has great hours (7 days a week) and capable staff who can deal with rambunctious elementary kids to fussy babies. They rock! Music is loud, so I stopped wearing headphones. Always good tunes and switch up the playlists. Open 24 hours, fits anyone's schedule. Loads of parking nearby (unlike 24 Hour Fitness in Mililani), and I've never had to walk far. Very convenient location, and I typically run my Town Center errands during my gym time. read more

There are only 3 cycle classes a week which are always filled to capacity and hard to get into (max capacity is 25 and the you have to join a waitlist). The gym needs to hire an additional cycle instructor based on the need/want for the classes. It isn't fair to pay for a membership that includes cycle classes and not have enough spaces to be able to go. There could be additional classes made at 6am or other nightly spots made available to accommodate the need. It just doesn't make sense to have a cycle class that always reaches capacity without expanding it to be available to members through additional times/days. read more

I am giving this gym a 1 star rating because if the gym closes at 10pm, us paying members should have access to the gym entirely till the facility closed. For example: when I come there several hours before closing, I find the room where they host classes -- closed due to cleaning. I understand that the place needs to be cleaned but it should be during off peak hours. And we originally pay for a 24 hour gym membership and for them to only allow us partial access to the facility is unfair. read more

If I could give NO stars I would. It's sad how 1 staff member could tarnish a whole business's name. On Tuesday, September 27th 2022 I went with my husband to Mililani UFC gym. He brought me there on a guest pass to see if I would like it. That morning would have been my 3rd day there. Unfortunately, as we walked in like the other days before, we said hello to the staff at the desk, my husband scanned his member bar code, and I walked ahead of him into the gym area. A woman behind the desk yelled at me "whoaaa try come back over here, you cannot be going in there. He doesn't even have a membership that allows guest!" She not only yelled, but had major attitude problems and a stink looking face. (This was honestly shocking to endure in an establishment like "UFC Gym"). I turned around and came to the desk where my husband told her "what are you talking about? I can bring guest in". She continued to have an attitude, her body language was pilau and said "try hold on" and beginning typing in my husbands name. They were arguing loudly at the front desk and going back and forth. When she was pulling up his info, she continued yelling he can't have guests. While my husband looked at the keypad with his account info, all his guest names popped up on the screen. He told her there's all his guest info as it had been in his account. After she saw his info, she tried to switch it up and say he can have a guest and all I need to do is register on the keypad. (The prior two days no one asked me to do that, and doing it was not a problem but maybe as a manager, she should have all her staff on the same page?) At that point I was absolutely disgusted that this staff member was acting the way she was. I told her I would not ever go into their gym, I'll go to another gym and that was despicable what she did and how she did that. She said "good, by all means please find another gym to go to" and still with her stink attitude. She was smirking and being sarcastic, it was truly shocking. I asked her what her name was and she said "Sure! I'll get you a card! My name is CARI NISHIMURA and I am the GENERAL MANAGER! Go ahead and do whatever you want with it." She was laughing, stomping her feet, rolling her eyes and throwing major attitude. I am still in disbelief days later that that was the general manager and that she treats people like that. That is shameful and embarrassing for UFC Gym and Mr. BJ Penn (who's name is on that gym). I don't know how someone in that position would ever think it's ok to treat anyone like that. If we did this at my work place (the hospital), we would be investigated and terminated. It is NOT acceptable. We left the gym, and I don't plan on ever returning to that gym. I actually purchased a gym membership elsewhere after that day, Cari made it very easy for me to make my decision on not getting a membership with UFC Gym. On top of that disaster, when I called corporate office, the 877# is disconnected. The email they listed seems active but 3 days later and still no response from anyone. I called the Honolulu location and spoke with an "Anna" who was also very rude and not helpful. She did not want to help, and didn't care. I called the Huntington Beach location and spoke with a wonderful operations manager (1 (657) 215-4700) who gave me the operations manager for Hawaiis location (Michael Kelleher). I have emailed him and have not got a response yet. I will be reporting this to the BBB and anywhere else I can. This woman should not be employed there and definitely should not be a manager or the face for this company. read more

Due to Covid shutting down pretty much everything, I took a long break from working out and basically being in gym setting. I was definitely not happy with how I looked and wanted to start over. I've been to other gyms before but didn't want to go back because the vibes were off. I decided to give UFC a try after hearing great things through family members who have current memberships. I was very impressed with the staff, as they were super welcoming and friendly! Makes the gym more enjoyable. I initially just decided to do my own thing but one of the coaches, Coach RANDY approached me and informed me of a complementary training session that new members get. At first, I was like ehhhh....probably the typical but decided to give it a try. My first session with Coach Randy was DEADLY. I haven't worked out as hard as I did for a long time. We bought my son a 3 year prepaid membership before covid ONLY because they said they would match my husband's rate after the three years. Because of covid he stopped going and I think he had about a year left. Recently, we decided that it'd be ok for him to start going again but UFC refused to honor matching my husband's rate. They said too much time had passed since his 3 years ended and they couldn't understand that covid happened and now that we are ready to let him go back to the gym it's too late. Even though the General Manager at the time put it in the notes under his account. The best offer they could give was to sign him up for another 3 year prepaid membership at the same price we originally paid which, if I remember correctly, came out to about $28 a month. My husband's membership was $18 a month. We were actually considering it until my husband suggested we look at what 24 hr fitness had to offer. I'm super glad we did! 24 Hour Fitness has a one year prepaid membership that comes out to $28/month but my son can bring 2 guests EVERY time. If they are under 18 their parent just has to give consent the first time they go with him. UFC Gym only allows one guest and they have to be over 18. So not only did I not have to drop 3 years worth of membership at once but his friends can go with him for free. So glad I didn't have to continue to support a gym that lied to us and refused to honor what was said when we initially signed up. read more
