The coffee farm with ocean view in the background!

Another fun coffee farm in Hilo! It's on the smaller side, but well worth a visit. UCC is a popular coffee brand in Japan and it's where I noticed the canned Kona coffees. Free self tour of the coffee farm and whole beans for sale. Oh, free coffee samples! Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Also speaking Japanese (our friend's parents who came too are Japanese) I got an affogato at the end of our tour and it was very satisfying on a hot day. Thanks UCC for a great experience!

Booked a tour with roasting our own coffee. Info was very interesting with the Kona beans staying domestically despite being a Japanese company. For the roasting they provide enough beans for a total of 8oz of coffee. It was nice to be able to witness the crack, smoking and hissing of roasting coffee to different types of roasts. Coffee was wonderful and the three types available for sampling had interesting traits and unique complexity. It's not inexpensive but really an educational and tasty experience. Staff were very nice and all spoke Japanese.

We got to taste a few different kind of coffee. My coffee palate isn't as developed as the others in my group. Most of the coffee tasted the same to me but they all good. The view is fantastic and you can take very beautiful photos and enjoy coffee or an affogato! Definitely recommend stopping by!

10/10 recommend this place when visiting Kona. The coffee house is beautiful, overlooking acres of coffee trees. They have lots of goodies, merchandise, and free coffee samples to taste. UCC has been around since the 1800s and they have mastered the production line process and taste. As an avid cookie eater, I can confidently say their oatmeal cookies are the best oatmeal cookies I have ever eaten.

Lovely hidden spot along the road of several other coffee farms. You see iced UCC coffee cans in some Japanese or Asian supermarkets across the US so I was pleasantly surprised to see they have a real outpost right here in Kona!! SPECTACULAR views and peaceful setting if you're able to get a table in the patio set up right below the shop. Managed to sight a wild turkey run across the road quickly in their farm too. The owner immediately greeted us and allowed us coffee samples as soon as we stepped in, but in no way a hard sell to buy anything. Could've just sampled and wandered around without purchasing anything but you're likely a tourist while reading this so why not stop and relax a bit. Affogato was soooo good and refreshing in this little humid weather. Iced latte was good too, not nitro cold brew strong but a good long day pick me up. Also bathrooms available here. I wished they sold those tiny espresso cups, so cute but he said the print quality wasn't so good :shrugs:

I found a new obsession in Holualoa! The Affogato stole my heart! The coffee ice cream was so delicious and creamy. The espresso was perfection! Friendly service too and the view! OMG! We also tried the coffee float, an iced coffee with Mac nut and another with hazelnut and Carmel. So good! I will totally continue to come here on my visits to Kona!

Kona coffee farm with a amazing view of the Kona Coast. Small batch Kona coffee farm that provides tours, sells premium quality pure Kona coffee, and operates a cafe. It has a big deck you can drink your coffee while enjoying the beautiful view of Kona. See the full story of this visit on my TikTok @dearest_di.

Great experience and super friendly staff! Coffee was delicious and we enjoyed relaxing in their lanai overlooking the estate.

Great coffee. The roasting experience is a must! You can learn a lot about coffee and roast it to your own taste. You can even make your own package! It will be a memorable experience in Kona.

Kona snow with a view

UCC Hawaii Corporation is located in the hills of Kona. Amid other coffee farms you could visit, UCC Hawaii Corporation was the one I was recommended to check out from my AirBnB hostess. The actual coffee farm itself is gorgeous. UCC Hawaii Corporation has a deck coming off the main building where you could take you coffee to sip as you enjoy the peace of the farm while overlooking lush hills and the ocean. We happened upon the coffee farm during the time of 'Kona snow'. When the coffee flowers first come out, they're as white as snow and only stick around for three days. We were lucky enough to get to see the blossoms before they fell off. We'd been hoping to try coffee cherry juice but sadly it wasn't quite the right time of year for that. When you're going to a coffee farm, keep in mind the time of year. UCC Hawaii Corporation has many coffee options for purchase. From white chocolate covered coffee beans, to actual roasted coffee, to things from around the island... We were offered a sample of chocolate covered and white chocolate covered coffee beans. The white chocolate was fabulous! We sampled the Estate Coffee and another type... both were so wonderfully fresh and hot! The Estate was really special and sweet all on its own. While visiting UCC, you can even roast your own beans and add a photo to personalize the bag they come in. My boyfriend and I have a friend who loves to roast their own coffee. Unfortunately, UCC Hawaii Corporation does not sell the green beans, but the folks working were kind enough to refer us to Kona Coffee and Tea, just about a 5-minute drive away. Their willingness to send our business to somewhere we could purchase what we were looking for was profound to me. I appreciate the recommendation and my friend was beyond excited to have Kona green beans. While I didn't walk away with any coffee, I walked away with huge gratitude for the people working at UCC Hawaii Corporation. They were all so professional, sweet, and I just can't get over the amazing view. If you're looking for a coffee farm, UCC Hawaii Corporation would be an excellent one to see!

Drive up the hill on the other end of the freeway 11, the UCC farm house sits above these wonderful coffee farm lands, with views of the sea waves. Coffee tasting has three flavors, walk around and see the coffee beans. There are many goodies that can take home, be sure to taste the UCC coffee ice cream, so good!

This was the first stop on our coffee tasting tour in Kona while here. A lady at the hotel recommended we come here and I'm glad we did. It was quiet and not crowded but we were greeted by a friendly lady and her young child who offered for us to sample from the canisters by the window the items they had. She also mentioned a few things on the menu and we chose to go with an affogato-type coffee with vanilla ice cream drink. It was good! We enjoyed it out on the back deck enjoying the view while a younger couple with a child came out and started to prepare for a tour. We did not do the estate tour as we were kind's in a hurry but we did walk down the hill a bit and look at the beans and how they were growing in the huge field overlooking the Pacific ocean down below. Gorgeous views. They have plenty of coffee for sale as well as coffee beans and various other items. If you are already in the area doing coffee tours this is worth a stop. You'll also pass the Kona Hotel probably and can stop to look at some art and other things.

As coffee lovers, Heavenly Hawaiian constantly came up in my research and I'm glad we toured for ourselves. The grounds itself are absolutely gorgeous and that view from the hill onto the ocean is unreal! I can't for the life of me remember our tour guides name but she was such a joy and extremely knowledgeable. Learning about the different coffee variants that are grown such as Kona typica, Progeny 502, and the "boujee girl" Geisha was awesome to learn about and see for ourselves. Did I mention endless coffee sampling? Such a relaxing atmosphere to sip all the coffee you want and enjoy that view. And the cutest cats on the property were such a delight mingling with the guests. All staff members were so helpful and they even treated us with a goodie bag of freshly picked fruits from the farm and a bag of peaberry bites (my new favorite) all as a thank you for paying a visit on our honeymoon! Was not expecting that all but such a sweet gesture! I would highly recommend Heavenly Hawaiian farms to anyone if you're on the Big Island or in the Kona area. Absolutely worth the trip up the hill and to feel the aloha from the staff and grounds.

We learned so much about what makes these coffee beans so special, from how they are grown and harvested to how they are processed and roasted. It gave me a whole new appreciation for every sip. And Ben, our tour guide, was incredible. So charming, so knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about what he does. He made the experience engaging and memorable from start to finish. Highly recommend this tour if you are anywhere near Kona. It is an experience you will not forget.

Great Kona coffee in a wonderful casual atmosphere!…read more I had to meet up/interview a potential Big Island candidate in Kailua-Kona and I was basically looking for a casual place where I could meet, enjoy a drink, and have a little bit of conversation. Kona Coffee & Tea was the place of choice here in Kailua-Kona. Located at the Kona Coast Shopping Center, you can find this little coffee shop just next door from KFC. The coffee shop is easy to find, as other business surrounding this business is the KTA Superstore, Hele Gas Station, HFS Federal Credit Union, O'Reilly Auto Parts, as well as many numerous eateries. It was late in the afternoon, so I basically came here for some drinks. I had to try their Kona Coffee, and I must say it did not disappoint! The coffee shop has indoor, as well as covered outdoor seating. The shop does sell some food items, but I did not partake or looked at what they had to offer. There was also coffee shop merchandise, but I did not have time to take a look at what they had to offer. Overall, as great coffee shop and if I'm in the area again, I wouldn't hesitate to stop by for their wonderful coffee.

Unless you're a coffee connoisseur, you may want to skip the pour over for something a bit less special to save yourself a few dollars. The coffee was fine, but my unrefined palette was not able to fully appreciate the cup of brew. In terms of atmosphere, Kona Coffee & Tea has plenty of seating outdoors around the porch and a few high tables indoor, where they have AC blasting at full strength. They have free Wi-Fi available as well, so I saw a lot of people posting up on their laptops. Parking is plentiful and easy to find since this coffee spot is located in a strip mall. If you have a discerning palette for the subtle flavors that show up in different coffee beans, you will definitely want to stop by for a cup.

The coffee is just so flavorful! It is not burnt tasting, but has a lot of fragrant notes. The oat milk latte was extremely smooth and delicious. No sugar or syrups needed! DH also got a latte, because they didn't have cappuccinos. He said, "It was super smooth. It was really good. It wasn't as intense as the coffee from their beans. It was quite possibly the best latte I've ever had." We splurged for a 7 ounce small bag of Kona SL34 beans for $38 to take home. Believe us, it was well worth it! There is a small seating area under an awning. Most folks seemed to be taking their coffee to go. This shop is a trailer in Holualoa and serves as a front for their micro roastery to serve their own coffee. On the morning I was there, two people were working and the place was busy. When we arrived around 8:15 there was a longish line and no parking right next to the shop. Thankfully the line moved pretty quickly. After looking over the menu I was stuck between a few interesting options and after asking for a recommendation, I was pointed toward the Black Sesame Miso Latte. The menu described it as espresso, brown butter miso syrup, milk, and black sesame cold foam. Within a reasonable amount of time I had my drink and was on my way. This latte was unlike anything I have had before. The brown butter miso syrup gave it a really complex flavor while the black sesame added a nutty, slightly savory depth. The coffee itself was strong and bold and still came through despite the other flavors. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. I really enjoyed how unique and complex this drink was and would be interested in trying their shaken trinity latte and Thai latte as well.
