I am an incredibly claustrophobic person so the prospect of being in a small tube was incredibly stressful. Luckily for me, the staff at this Children's Hospital Outpatient center was understanding and accommodating of my fears. I was given a pair of crazy looking goggles and a list of movies to choose from. I picked Top Gun from a page that included favorite movies of kids and teenagers alike. Before I laid down on the MRI table I put the goggles on and a pair of huge headphones and was amazed...somehow the goggles projected what appeared to be a movie-theatre sized screen in front of my eyes. The goggles, combined with ridiculous surround sound in the headphones, made my MRI experience a breeze. (I was actually upset when, after 45 minutes, they pulled me out of the machine...I was just getting to the good part of the movie!) If you have a child that needs an MRI and is either scared of the procedure or fidgety, ask your doctor about this location. All of the nurses and technicians were extremely friendly and the awesome movie viewing experience helps a lot with anxiety!

She provided paper/pen for us to take notes. She has a delightful personality that made the time in the class even more enjoyable. There were 8-10 of us in the class and I got the sense that we all became friends b/c of the atmosphere she created. The class was awesome and I cannot recommend it enough.
