Using Uber for the first time ever today. I was stranded in a state that I was traveling through and my brake line failed due to age I guess, I had no brakes. In a state with no family or friends to call. I needed a ride to auto parts store. Signed up on uber app. I made the appt. To be picked up in 2 1/2 hours while I was waiting for my part to be delivered auto store. I got a confirmation, I got a driver name and the type of car to look for. HE NEVER SHOWED UP. Now I get another text from UBER stating we are looking for a driver for you. REALLY? i gave you a 2 1/2 hour window and now your leaving me stranded cuz you don't have a driver? Not reliable. My rating for Uber is zero. We had to ask a complete stranger if they wouldn't mine driving me round trip to pick up the part and back to the inoperative vehicle. The Captain Benny Restaurant Manager Keisha said my order came at 1:58. I called at 2:04 to ask for no salt. Keisha refused saying the food was already prepared and she would not remake my meal. I don't believe the food was ready in six (6) minutes. My orders was $25.00- 6 Shrimp, 3 fillets and fries was delivered at 3:04. It was soggy, salty, cold and late. I'm sure most of us wanted to be a good consumers look at uber website can't even break a 1.5 satisfaction out of five. The highest writing I found for them was in a two bracket. Everybody has the same thing in common when you give them their credit card they're gonna have a free-for-all in your bank as they did me I simply ordered a ride in advance a day in advance and their website is so predatory and so tricky that I wound up buying two that I was totally unaware of. Yes I wanted one of them that's why I was there And they charge me for two. It wasn't 60 seconds that I was able to cancel that and this predatory business still hit my credit card. I have to cancel my credit cards now cause I can't get them stopped that's what's gonna happen to you when you give them your credit card or at least that's what's happened to me and the law average says I cannot be the only one to the contrary, look at the reviews and these people are doing nothing to improve that it's a predatory business and they have a serious development problem And they've had years to correct that and to be a moral and ethical company. They just want our money they are predators and you will not be able to stop them without canceling your card or at least I was unable to. This is a shameful company. It should be legally shut down by our district attorney. My heart goes to anyone that uses this company. I'll call you about a day in advance to help a friend of mine, but she, her family slaughtered on the way home from church by a drunk driver Then I needed you to take her to enterprise. I paid them more. I didn't buy their bottom line I paid them more to get her there and I gave them a over 24 hour notice and I paid for it upfront. And they wound up charging me three separate rides that I have no idea where the destination was that's their website. You do not have to click nothing at all do it and then you scramble or cancel it and you can't you can't call these folks. It is impossible to talk to your human being at Uber. They got this AI in front of them protecting them anyways that's my Spanish my twilight zone but I've stopped them. I had to cancel credit card, but I got them stopped dirty company dirty shameful. I'm using Uber more often when traveling and find they are dependable and safe. In Knoxville Uber was my secondary mode of transportation. The app worked with no issues and provided the necessary information of pricing, arrival time and car details with tag number. I really like the fact it's a flat fee as opposed to a taxi. My recent experiences was in Knoxville. I had around 5 trips ranging from 3-5. Best experience was a man driving a new Audi A7. Super guy and knew his way around. A few of the worse was someone that did not navigate the short trip properly. Another the car was dirty. Another the car had physical damage. I tipped off the app. I have used both Lyft and Uber with similar good results. I will say the one Lyft ride in Knoxville was weak. I'm using Uber more now since my status has better pricing. 3.5 rounding down. read more

Chauffeur by Uber Rides. On Saturday June 8, 2019 was my fifth time using Uber Rides. I had a lot of Fun, being chauffer by the best Uber drivers in the world. My 1st Uber Ride chauffeur was Kristie, once I open my uber app for my ride she arrived within 8 minutes in front of my door. She was very happy, to give me a ride to were I needed to go here in Knoxville. Kristie has excellent Uber Ride services; her car was nice a clean on the inside and out. My 2nd Uber Ride chauffeur was Rodolfo, once I open my uber app for my ride back home. Rodolfo arrived to pick me up, in less than 2 minutes to give me a ride back home. He went above and beyond customer service, to make sure my ride back home was very pleasant. Rodolfo was very kind, and he looked very professional when he arrived to pick me up. The inside of his car had a new car smell very smoke free environment. Most of all the inside and the outside of his car was spotless, super clean car. I'm making plans, each week to be chauffer by Uber Rides the best drivers on the planet. I made an Uber reservation 3 days in advance for an airport pickup in Knoxville TN. They didn't show up, didn't notify me, and CHARGED ME for a canceled trip. I'm still stranded at the airport. NEVER count on these people in Knoxville. I use Uber in Miami and the service is flawless. read more

I was actually left twice by 2 different Uber drivers. Two times I walked out of the store and they were gone. Nowhere to be found. I met all the criteria information given to me and was in the store for less than 3 minutes. I had to use Uber when my car was in the shop. Now I have my car and don't have to worry about Uber again. I couldn't believe. Would NEVER use Uber again or recommend them to anyone. read more

I wasn't very familiar with Uber. I had a bunch of relatives and friends coming in from out of town when my car died. I hired the Uber driver to take me to the liquor store. On the way, I told him about my situation. We pulled into the parking lot and he said, I'm going to back up and get a better angle on the parking spot. I was in the store less than 5 minutes. When I went outside, he was gone. I tried to call him but he had blocked my number. I had no choice but to find another Uber driver. I'll never use Uber again and use Lyft from now on. read more

Uber is one of the worst experiences I have ever had. The first time I called, no one showed up. I waited over an hour and a half. So I called again and they did send a driver. BUT, they charged ME a cancellation fee for the driver that didn't show up. I tried to tell them what happened and that I did not cancel but they stuck to it was MY fault and charged me anyway. Most all their reviews are bad. I should have known better but live and learn. Very bad business practices. I'll never use them again. read more

Until earlier this year I thought Uber was great and used it all the time. I don't drive so it was a godsend for me to get back and forth to work and other places. Then around early summer I started having problems with them. Every time I tried to get a ride there were no cars available, or I would get a ride and the driver would cancel the trip. I thought at first this was a COVID thing but evidently all the drivers have decided to cater to the tourists in the area and ignore the locals. I guess you do what you gotta do. No doubt they get better tips from someone stumbling out of a moonshine place than someone who is just trying to get to work. I gave them one last chance this morning and then deleted the app. I tried to communicate with them directly but they have basically made that impossible. There is no customer support number or email anymore. But at least I can warn other locals not to count on Uber. read more

I know some people have issues with their Uber driver but I have always enjoyed my rides. I love the convenience of being able to press a button and get a ride especially after a night out with friends. I am always very excited when I am on campus at a hot spot and see multiple college kids waiting on an Uber because they know it is unsafe to drink and drive. With that alone this company has saved lives. Yes I am sure every now and then a not so personable driver slips through the cracks but that happens with every company especially large companies, you are always going to have a not so great employee and that is why Uber has a rating program for drivers and riders. You get a bad driver give them a low score once they get so many they will not be allowed to drive anymore. Same for riders once they get a low enough score they wont be picked up anymore. I plan on using Uber for a very long time. I have heard different options on lift also but dont plan on trying them out, I will stick with the innovators not the copy cats. read more
