To start off the ladies that work there are amazing! I was with them for over two years, close to…read morethree. They have a great secure place. Bad news is the sheet rock job on the roof of my 20'× 10' unit was horrible. I had alot of beautiful Antiques there. About 6 months ago I found part of the roof collapsed and broke a few of my things. I called the owner and told him all about it. He said some one broke in and it wasn't his responsibility because the building was not faulty. Let me say that there was no foot prints in the dust, not a single hand print and didn't let me get many words in before I was shut down. No investigation was done. It broke an old Moroccan chess and backgammon bord made out of Pearl, bone, and exquisite wooden pieces.. it was worth 4-500 bucks and some old great falls select bottles and a few other glass pieces. So unless you insure your unit its not advised by me. I let it go though because i was shocked with the result. Ive seen units broke into and this was any thing but. The building roof was falty and Ken just didnt want to be reasonable. His father ken is a very nice guy as well who does most of the leg work there. I got an email to give an review after moving my things to another unit elsewhere and here i am. When your making 100$ a month for 2 or so years i expected some reasonable action, not blowing it off and blaming it on a break in. No one else reported a break in in the other near by units. The sheet rock job was clearly in the wrong. Ive sheet rocked, painted and have done remodeling for over 20 years. I know a bad rock job when i see one. Hope this was helpful.

They DID tell us that the truck we reserved was available in Helena, 180 miles away roundtrip, and we were welcome to go pick it up there. I wonder that THEY didn't shuttle the truck up. We DID finally arrive at a solution that was acceptable. At our suggestion they reserved a trailer that we may or may not use if we were able to show-horn our 26 feet worth of stuff into the 20 foot truck they rented to us, and to waive the $50 rental fee. We WERE able to Tetris everything in the truck, did not need the trailer, received the rental fee waiver and were charged less for the smaller truck. But the only anxiety we suffered from this move was provided courtesy of U-Haul.

Not all of the key pads work causing an inconvenience to de-arm my unit. With U-Haul having all of…read moreits members phone numbers and emails, they could have sent out a message stating the issue, the corrective action, or even the temporary fix. No "out of order" signage was posted or any notification. Instead I had to go inside and ask about the issue. After all, every year U-Haul ups the rent to cover what ever excuse at that time, maybe some of that money could cover a simple sign. I realized that my units alarm was faulty and although I would arm it, my items were not protected by that layer of promised deterrence. I will give U-Haul staff a thumbs up as they moved me to a larger unit with an employee rate which was similar to my smaller previous unit. But when I was told this year there would be an increase in rates via email, it say almost $18 a month. I talked to the staff and they told me $10 for larger units and $5 for smaller units. Explain that to me in a way I will understand. With this ridiculous increase in rent, I had to purchase a key fob to open the bay doors after hours and if I wanted 24 hour access then I would have to pay a monthly fee. I understand the reason why the fobs are needed as they keep people out that camp in there or are seeking cover from the cold. Every time I would come to the building I would open both doors just to make sure they work with my fob. And they did. I did notice that one doors rollers were messed up while opening the door and I reported it to the staff which should have been noticed while a walk around was "supposedly" being conducted. The staff always are nice and friendly and I have never had an issue with any of them other than the general manage a couple times. The building is usually mostly clean and well lit with lighting. The hours are reasonable but a fob is not going to stop someone from coming in late at night and is a sorry excuse for a fee. Overall I'm in the middle of the road with my experience as there are things on both sides that prevent me from swaying one way or the other.
