Everything I asked for on the menu "we ran out" What?!?! No soy pork, no tonkatsu, no shrimp tempura, no shrimp tempura roll. I was told "they don't want to make it" I replied, "well they need to make it, it's on the menu and we are paying for it" he said he will try and ask again. The hot Food on the line was old and stale, hard like rock. Shrimp tempura, calamari, NOT crispy broccoli. Service: horrible. We had to call out for help every time we needed some thing. My husband and I had dined here for the first time in December 2025. My impression at the time was that it was a decent place for a meal of both KBBQ and hot pot, at an unbeatable price ($19.99 for lunch and $25.99 for dinner). I had liked that we could get both KBBQ and hot pot without needing to pay any extra fees. The spicy mala broth was pretty good. They had a decent selection at their self-serve veggie and seafood bar (including crabs, baby octopus, clams, mussels). For dinner, they had a lot of meat options (variety of pork, beef and lamb), although the meats came out overly defrosted and would clump together in 1 mushy piece on the plates. The sauce bar, however, was definitely the worst I've ever experienced at a hot pot restaurant in Vegas. They had just the most basic of basics (e.g. soy sauce, ponzu, sesame oil, fish sauce, hoisin, green onions, garlic, jalapenos, etc.) plus some odd ones like Tapatio and a gochujang-based sauce. Overall, both the KBBQ and hot pot were subpar but I thought U Shabu's advantage was getting both for a price better than anywhere else in Vegas. We decided to go back this past weekend and wow, our experience was so much worse that we decided we wouldn't be returning again. First, only large tables are equipped with 2 grills for KBBQ and hot pot. Since those were taken (there were only 4 tables available to be used despite the back of the restaurant having more large tables), we had to choose between KBBQ and hot pot. Second, the self-serve veggie and sauce bars were in serious need of being restocked but no one ever did during our whole meal... see pictures attached... even the most basic ingredient (napa cabbage) was out. Third, service was incredibly slow and inattentive. It seems to be a combination of being understaffed and having poorly trained wait staff. Only a quarter of the restaurant was full and there only seemed to be 1 waiter, who also doubled as the host and who for the most part was difficult to find. Having to wait to find him and flag him down for water/more meat/our bill was painfully slow every time. Fourth, they increased prices as of January 2026 (lunch $23.99 and $28.99) without any proof of quality to justify this, making you better off getting higher quality kbbq or hot pot for a similar price anywhere else. Fifth, the place seemed so unsanitary. Tables were never bussed while we were there. We had plates stack up at our table and rarely would someone notice and get them, only to place them on a neighboring empty and dirty table. And finally, sixth, the only music they ever seem to play here is someone's predominantly Drake/The Weeknd, explicit, expletive-laden playlist. In summary, if you go here, expect subpar kbbq and/or hot pot (depending on if you're lucky to get seated at the 2-grill table). Expect some ingredients to be out of stock. Expect slow service and loud explicit music. Unfortunately, will not be back. I don't foresee U Shabu lasting too long. (I also happened to get food poisoning the next morning, unsure if this was the exact cause.) read more

OMG... I don't know what happened here. This used to be my favorite spot during the cold season for hot pot. The last time I came was back in January, and even though I live on the other side of town, I was excited to bring my family this past weekend (party of 7). Right away things were off. Our food came out first but the broth took forever. I could tell they were understaffed but on a Saturday? They also discontinued the hot station. Apparently it's still "available" but you have to order through them now. They removed items from the menu and added more sushi and a bunch of fried food instead. Now the food... * The meat was okay, but it seemed like it had been sitting out. It was stuck to the plate and we had to scrape it off. * The seaweed was so slimy and foul-tasting. I've never had seaweed taste like that in my life. Just thinking about it makes me want to vomit--and this was four days ago. * The fried food (broccoli tempura, shrimp tempura) was undercooked, mushy, and honestly gross. You can tell they rushed it. * My miso broth tasted fishy, which has NEVER happened before. If this is under new management, y'all seriously need to do better. This was disappointing and borderline disgusting. The only thing good I can say the bathroom was clean. :/ Man..I had family coming down for the holidays and was telling my husband I couldn't wait to bring them here because they would love it like I've done with friends before. Not too Shabu. See what I did there lol. Located in the plaza that houses Pierre 88 and several other restaurants, there is plenty of parking here. It was noon when we arrived and surprisingly very quiet. Greeted as we walked in and we're told to choose a table. Hungry Monster of course choose the one closest to the food bar. It's clean here, I mean, eat of the floor type of clean. You know we love clean. In fact there is sanitizer at every table. Our server was very attentive to us. She knew exactly what each meat was even after Monster accidently spread them on the table for photos. LOL, all good. Today was Holiday special do lunch and dinner was included in our AYCE price. The menu is really simple. Choose your broth, 2 if you want. What ordered Tonkotsu/House broth All beef meat Lamb Shrimp Bacon wrap Gyoza Shrimp tempura Conclusion Hungry Monster is happy. We have no complaints. Rating of 4 stars is for now. We want to see the whole experience with a full bar. I was excited to try this hot pot place, but unfortunately it didn't quite meet the standards of other hot pot restaurants in the area. There is new management, and with that came a noticeable increase in price. One thing that does set them apart is the hot food area, which is a nice idea in theory. However, it lacked freshness and visual appeal, making it hard to want to try many of the items. The hot pot itself was just okay, and overall the quality didn't match the higher pricing. With so many strong hot pot options nearby offering fresher ingredients, better flavor, and a more enjoyable experience for the value, I'd kindly recommend checking out other hot pot spots in the area. $25 for dinner or $20 for lunch is a crazy deal for AYCE Shabu. They also have a grilling option for Korean BBQ but we didn't try that part. So this place has all your typical accompaniments when it comes to AYCE Shabu plenty of choices for seafood, vegetables, and the must have sauce bar. They also have choices of sush rolls and various hot items that are ordered from the server, although I didn't order any of those. Service was fine and pleasant, plus the place was clean. Friendly, fast, attentive, tasty, lost of choices-- and for a Monday night, nice to not be fighting a Vegas crowd. The Hot Bar of "appetizers" only had a couple duds, in my view (fried spring rolls and gyoza). But the tempura is even better dipped in the cooking broth. And the Korean wings were crisp and sweet-spicy. (But at the end not much for dessert, however, except gelatin and ice-milk-- but the latter with a little sesame sauce atop was okay little palate cleanser.) The main shabu shabu experience was a delicious dinner-- we did sukiyaki and pork tonkotsu broths -- pleased to find king oyster and cloud ear mushrooms, lots of fresh veg varieties, noodles, whole shrimp, fresh clams and mussels, raw eggs (for dipping or cooking in broth). Good choice of beef, pork and lamb proteins for $26/person and they kept on top of bringing more till we said "owarimashou"! :-) read more

Another hot pot spot I've tried. It's an AYCE. Pretty good size restaurant. To me though, a table of 4 we requires to have the same broth (share) which I'm not a fan of. Some of my friends like certain broth as like myself. We were a party of 8 and we had to sit on separate tables but next to each other. You don't interact too much with the workers since you need to get your food. Love that they had hot items too. read more

My partner and I love coming to U Shabu! It's our go-to hot pot spot. We're locals, and always looking for great food but with little wait time. With hot pot, there's usually always a wait at other places. But whenever we come here there's zero wait time, and we never know why because it's sooo good!! They have all the veggies I love (Napa cabbage; bok Choy, broccoli, onions) they have seafood, sushi, the typical broths (sukiyaki, tonkotsu and more). It's been a month since the new mgmt took over and they had a promotion that was $15.99 for lunch till 3/19. After that, it will be $19.99 every day for lunch. The hot items are not available at lunch time, only at dinner time. The place is huge, has plenty of tables and the buffet has good options, ranging from different types of noodles, greens, salad, and seafood. The lunch option gives you about 6 diff cuts of protein (pork shoulder, pork belly, beef round, beef chuck, briskets and belly). The seafood items like octopus, shrimp, clams, mussels, fish balls, square fish pieces, dried fish pieces, etc, are all at the buffet, no need to order thru the waitstaff. They have quite a few diff types of noodles: rice (small and fat ones), rice cakes, udon, yellow noodles. The salad items has some westerns types (potato, macs), seaweed, edamame etc. The sushi bar has about 4 diff rolls (I didn't try any). The greens had zuchini, cabbage, bokchoy, cilantro etc. The sauce bar has various sauces, chopped garlic and scallions, etc. There were 2 types of mushrooms, raw eggs, peppers of diff kinds etc. The dessert section is limited and lacking to only jellos, orange slices, and cut up apples. After you are seated and have selected your choices of broth, you can roam free to select you buffet items. I like that it has a lot off items for you but everything seemed quite sparse. Maybe don't want to waste food by putting too much out since the turnover seems low. There were only about 4 other parties when we were there at lunch time (between 12noon to 2-ish). 3 things I noticed though that could work against them: 1) The hotpots are very shallow and small, making it challenging to put much in there. 2) the bathroom smells bad, not because it isn't clean but more from the sewer. 3) lots of selections but they are all quite sparse in the buffet areas, making it unappealing BUT I get why they can't put too much out for fear of not being able to "sell out" fast enough and may end up tossing everything out. STAY AWAY!!! This place served up rotten or spoiled meat and told us it was fresh! Meat tasted super gammy and tasted like it was left outside for days. Broth tasted like dirty towel rags like they added sink water. Hot Fried food tasted like it was cooked in dirty oil. It's so weird because the place is clean and spotless but the food is the complete opposite. I hope the owner sees this and gives me a refund. The worker also didn't know anything about the food as well as we asked him what was in what and just ignored the questions. Hope U guys close down. read more

We do always have good experience in UShabu. The crew are very helpful and attentive. Good variance of meat to choose from. I like that they have shabu pot and grill pot that you can have. Ambiance is ok. I hope that they have gloves or sanitizer nearby the self serve buffet. Overall price is worth it for food choices. read more

My boyfriend and I tried U Shabu Hot Pot recently, and overall it was a decent spot for a hot pot dinner. We had both the house special and the sukiyaki broths. The house special has a very subtle flavor--great if you're after something light--while the sukiyaki broth really stood out with its rich, sweet taste. The meats cooked well and complemented the meal, and I really appreciated the variety of veggies, noodles, and sauces available to mix and match. The service was friendly and made us feel welcome. One small drawback was the hot bar--it didn't seem as fresh as I expected, which was a bit surprising since we arrived right when they opened. $30 for AYCE hotpot and everything was delicious! It's not your typical individual hot pot with a tray of food, but instead it's like a salad bar or buffet style. We ordered the meats and broths upon arrival, then pick out the seafood, veggies, noodles, fruits and hot items from the bar. Since it's AYCE, you can return and get as much or little as you like. I tend to avoid AYCE as I don't usually eat much to make it worth the price, but I would say this place is well worth it. The service was pretty good as the server checked on us several times, and we barely waited for our broth, drinks or bill. The only thing is we went for a late dinner on a Friday night and most of the buffet/salad bar items were empty or running low. The servers were quick to provide if we asked though, so no big complaints....just not as appetizing if the selection is empty. read more

We used to love this place; for years we loved the meats, the salad bar, the sushi... everything was great. It was never very busy, even on weekend nights, which was convenient, but we always wondered why they didn't have more business. Tonight, we finally understood. All the good qualities this place once had have drastically plummeted. The staff is improperly trained and just didn't seem like they cared. A host begrudgingly showed us to our table, which had no napkins or utensils. We had to steal utensils from one of the many empty tables. We asked for water, which didn't arrive until much later, only because our server saw my partner examining the dirty water cups that were sitting empty. We barely saw our server, and when we did, he forgot to bring what we asked for. The only time he appeared attentive was when we were ready to pay and get out of there. He was very busy flirting with a table that arrived after us. He and the other few employees walking around looked very stressed and confused, though they weren't doing much other than ignoring the handful of tables being taken up. As for the food, the cuts of meat were so much thinner than they were previously, and much thinner than other hotpot restaurants serve nearby. This would be fine if our server checked in on us more than once to see if we wanted to order more. The cabbage at the salad bar was dirty and had flies on it. The options at the hot food station were scant. The employee who was bussing tables and taking our empty plates looked like the only one there who was on top of his job or just had two brain cells to rub together. Abysmal. read more

They charged us a 26% tip with no fore warning‼ The server was not great -- the building is big and they had one server and one bus boy. Could never find him but he was nice when we found him. They were nice for letting us switch tables though. There is a buffet style place for you to order non-meat items for the hot pot. Lots of seafood and vegetable options. Good pre-cooked food options too! There was bulgogi with carmelized onion to order, gyoza was yummy and crispy! The best meat was the beef belly--we cooked it on the kbbq grill with sukiyaki broth. Additionally we cooked the shrimps with heads on the side of the kbbq grill and it was yummy. We came in for my post birthday dinner and this place really exceeded my expectation. We've ordered spicy tonkotsu broth, miso, sukiyaki, and the house broth and they were all so delicious. My favorite was the spicy tonkotsu. The vegetables were fresh and a lot of selections, the meats were thinly sliced and absorbed the broth really well. Even the seafood were fresh as well! Don't eat the sushi though because they are packed with rice and it will fill you up lol. They have a sauce bar as well! The service was impeccable, we were seated right away and they kept checking on our table to make sure we were good. And the restaurant was neatly decorated. The ladies rest room was a little flooded though but I'm sure they will get that fixed. Other than that everything was delicious. They even have the french fries and other fried appetizers for us to start off with. However, they need more desert selections. I will definitely come back when they get their alcohol license and I recommend for you guys to try this place :) read more

We wanted hotpot and we had never been to this restaurant so we decided to try somewhere new. You are allowed to do the hot pot and a sukiyaki grill top so we did both same price if you just wanted the hot pot. We enjoyed picking the vegetables and all the meats. We chose sukiyaki and spicy tonkatsu. Both soup bases were delicious. We paid $25.99 a person and I would say it was worth it. Ended the night with soft served ice cream. Our server was great. Our favorite go to during winter time. But not anymore after eating here yesterday. They've changed management a few times already. The prices went up but the quality of meat and service went down. Hot food area was not even hot. The server that helped us was very rude and disrespectful. As soon as he got our order I can already tell that he was not in a good mood because of his tone of voice and how he talks to us. We tried to be understanding but he was just RUDE the whole time. Had to get our own cooking utensils from the other table. We were not asked for any drinks not even water was served. My husband said excuse me to our server while walking past our table to ask for water and the server acknowledged us by saying WHAT?! They were obviously understaffed but that's no excuse to give the worst customer service. Did we get our water? Nope! I had to ask again and we were almost done eating. I couldn't decide between hot pot or Korean bbq. This place has both concepts! However, the grill portion only comes at a table seating 4 or more. Since it was just my husband and I, I had to request the table. I couldn't quite give it 5 stars bc they don't have a good selection of veggies and seafood. They don't have spam or enoki mushrooms or the fatter fish tofu. The other thing that sort of annoyed me is the person that brought out the meat couldn't tell the difference between lamb and beef. Since my husband hates lamb and I love lamb, this is important. Lol! The setver told my husband that the meat he brought out was lamb, but it actually was beef. So my husband didn't touch it for a while and waited patiently for his "beef". Other than this the place has some good quality meets ans the servers were generally nice. Although, they seem to be quite understaffed. My waitress was running around everywhere! I chose the spicy tonkatsu broth and miso. The tonkatsu was very flavorful and tasted good. The other broth was bland. It was nice to have a grill. The lamb was excellent grilled and the garlic sautéed there with the green onions made it much more tastier. You can also order appetizers. I was super excited to try this place mainly because of the Shabu Shabu and grill combo! However, this place just continued to disappoint: - Every single piece of our meat order was 100% frozen. It was challenging to peel the meat off the dishes because they were stuck on the plates. After grilling them or dipping into our soup, the meat was just very tough. - For a table of 4, we had to share 1 pot! Granted, it was a duo pot which allows you to have 2 different soup bases. I would much rather have individual pots so everyone can adjust or cook meats to their liking. - Most of the buffet items where empty and not what you see in the photos here. Not sure if it was just a slow or bad day, but it was unfortunate we didn't get the full menu. The ice cream was not creamy and too sweet. - The service was just ok. It seems like they were still figuring out what to do. We ran into some confusion with the pots and switching grills. Our waitress just gave up on trying to explain and asked us to figure it out. We were the only ones there at that time so not like she was too busy to explain. What saved them from having 1 star, is that the restaurant was super clean. I definitely appreciate that!
