I needed to print a simple gift certificate for my husband's birthday. You have to pay by the minute to use the computers here. So I jumped on, hit "print", changed the settings from b&w to color, and waited for it to print. But it didn't. I went to the machine, it said it was out of magenta toner. I went to one of the staff, who told me to wait, because she was training another employee on how to ship something. Never mind that I'm paying by the minute. She came over to the printer and said " just a minute I need to see if we have the toner." What?! You're a print shop, I came to print 1 thing in color and you're not sure if you have the color toner?! I got frustrated that the meter was still running so I logged off. She didn't find the toner so she gave me another option for printing at another machine. "But I already paid for the printing over there, so are you saying I need to pay again?" She asked me for proof via a receipt. Thank heaven I had selected "email me a receipt from the computer" before I logged off. Showed her the receipt. She said she'd reprint it behind the counter for free. Then she showed me a way to print items in the future from my email without having to login to a computer (3 stars for that, as it was very helpful) and she got me my printed gift certificate before I left.

I deal with FedEx almost every day at work. While for the most part I utilize their website for…read moreshipping and ordering supplies, I occasionally need to stop into one of their brick and mortar shops if I miss the pickup deadline or if I need supplies quickly. Since this is the closest FedEx to my job, I'll usually come here. Located on East Post Road, this FedEx location is quite large. There's a number of work stations with computers as well as ample room to prep your shipment and print photos. I'm also consistently impressed with how organized the store is kept, especially because of its size and the number of businesses that surrounds it. The store is open 24 hours which I was surprised to find out but is pretty convenient if you prefer coming in at off-hours. When it comes to speed of service, it really depends on how busy they are. I've been in and out real quick at times while other times I've had to wait a good while to be helped. The employees are friendly, but the length of time I've spent here varies. My one criticism of this location is their policy with refrigerated shipments. I periodically need to ship out coolers with temperature-sensitive products and I've been told by the manager of this location that they cannot be dropped off here. If that's a FedEx policy then fine, but it's a slight inconvenience so just be aware you can't drop those types of packages off here. Overall, this FedEx location gets the job done. It may not offer the same services of other locations, but the friendly employees and clean store make it an asset in downtown White Plains.
