The machine was of the drive-up variety, and had a combination of touch screen and physical buttons. I ended up opening my door so I could lean close enough to it. Do they design the openings the same with all, or is it the curbs that are too far out with some? In any case, the machine worked as expected and I got the cash, my card, and my receipt without a problem. Entering the lot can be a pain with all of the Main Street and Millville Avenue traffic, but it wasn't too bad, and getting out was much easier via the alley behind the bank and the shopping center.

We like our local Chase branch. The location is super convenient and they're open on Saturdays…read moreuntil 2pm. They have a Notary Public on site, too, and Chase customers may benefit from her services for free. Parking is limited and the entrance on the west side (Pleasant Ave side) is a little wonky. You drive in through one of the former drive-thru lanes. It seems odd the first few times, and almost always there's someone in the parking lot walking who looks at you for a second like you've lost your mind before realizing that's the way it's done. Otherwise, a great bank - clean, well-staffed and centrally located.

Every once in a while I am reminded why I don't bank with Fifth Third Bank, even though they are a…read morelocal Cincinnati company. Unlike most companies that started in our region, this company has no grasp of basic customer service, let alone friendliness. Essentially, if you are not there to buy one of their loan products from their aggressive and predatory bank "managers," you will be lucky to get the time of day from the folks at the Fairfield Branch, let alone courteous service. Case and point this week I had a check written on their bank and decided to save myself the extra trip of going to my bank, since they were right next to the Kroger I was shopping at. What should have taken five minutes turned into a half-hour ordeal, and in the end, I still ended up needing to go to my bank anyway. Essentially, Fifth Third will not honor their checks, written on their bank. They will not cash a check written on their bank without a DNA test and something called a convenience fee: $10.00 Now keep in mind, I had the new Ohio TSA/DHS compliant driver's license and my passport, but for some reason those two forms of ID we're not acceptable, unless I had an account with them. They would require additional paperwork and a fee. . .to cash a check written on their bank! I asked to speak to the branch manager, but he could not be bothered more than 30 seconds to do his job, because he was busy in his little office, with his buddies, going over his fantasy football picks. This bank is a black eye on the face of Cincinnati. It is pretty bad when banks based in Columbus and Pittsburgh care more about Cincinnati than 5/3rd.
