Life change resulting in need of moving truck with options being so expensive these days we ended up with U-Pack. Friendly helpful customer service. Price was better than renting any moving truck that I'd have to drive. Pick date they show up with trailer set it up at the location. Get few days to load, they drive it to new location with in 1 1/2 wks schedule drop off and got few days to unload. They come back pick up the trailer and it's all over. Friendly drivers friendly customer service. Easy to pay and they do t charge your card till day it leaves after you load it. Had great experience. Only thing to warn about would be the ramp. It's a tad narrow but the movers maneuvered it with no problems. Who Evers loading truck make sure they know how to lock in walls with your boxes and stuff. They give two bars to lock in and a strap to help prevent load from shifting. And plywood with bars to lock your stuff in and make divider if you don't fill the whole trailer. We filled the whole trailer and everything was fine. read more

U-Pack Moving - Our stuff all loaded in this ABF, U-Pack trailer. 28 feet long lots of room to move a house full of stuff. - Movers Near Me - Tampa, Florida

We moved from Florida to Las Vegas and decided to go with U-pack. Our first choice was PODS but they were expensive and don't have smaller containers. U-Pack's relocates were smaller but with 2 of them we were able to pack everything we needed to move. Everything was on schedule and they arrived at the destination a few days ahead of schedule. The only thing that disappointed me was a lot of my moving boxes were crushed inside and so were all my precious Lego sets, but that could be on me for the way I put in the U-packs. Overall experience was very pleasant and pleased and will use them again if I ever move again. read more

Family of 3 + 1 dog. Small move from MA to FL. Booked a Relocube from U-Pack. Cube was dropped off at our house in MA and picked up after it was packed (we packed it ourselves). Then the cube was waiting for us at our new house in FL. After unpacking, cube was easily taken away. For small moves, U-Pack is an incredible option that cost a fraction of the usual moving services. read more

I highly recommend them! Everything went flawlessly. Excellent communication via text and email. I always knew what was happening.... they were on time to pick up my cube and they were on schedule, actually even a day early, to drop off my cube. Things get very jostled inside the cube. Make sure you anticipate this. The top layer inside our cube fell down and crushed some things below. Mainly plastic boxes. No real damage. I inquired about the service and got an estimate. Did not book my cube right away. I waited about a month when they kept offering me a lower pricing. I would use them again. $1,800 from CO to Fl. Picked up on a Thursday delivered on Wednesday. read more

I did not use U-Pack's services and will not, based on my call to get some basic questions answered. "Melissa" was clearly just reading from a script and would barely let me get a word in edgewise. She talked over me at least a dozen times - I'm calling to ask questions, not to listen to you read your script. Then came the pressure-sell: "If you book with me right now I have a $150 coupon I can apply to your order..." A coupon? Really? Why not call it a discount? So I asked about pick-up time: "The timeframe is between 8am and MIDNIGHT." Same for delivery. And they can't even narrow it down to am/pm the day of. Ok sure, I will let the people who've offered to help me load/unload the truck to be on stand-by FOR 16 HOURS. And how much for truck storage? $1200 per month - no daily or weekly rates offered. I don't know anyone for whom any of this would work, regardless of cost. read more

U Pack pricing was great. Their timing in showing up to drop empty trailer off and the picking of full yrailer was great. Steve in Indy was fantastic in getting our trailer and holding our yrailer.for a week before we could into our new home. However, ABF dispatch was horrible in picking up the empty trailer. It was to be picked up Monday, nope. Tuesday, nope. Finally about 4pm on Wed. They show up to pick it up and remove off property. What sucks is that we were to have our asphalt drive patched and revealed on Tuesday. However, w semi still in place........couldn't do their work. Cost me.$500 to have them rescheduled and not o e mention from UPack about any type.of.compensation read more

Moving is stressful in itself, so far U pack has picked up our full trailer a day late, it has sat in Atlanta for 4 days and their customer service people can't seem to answer a direct question. I guess you get what you pay for. read more

We had to move a lot of items from our daughter's condo in Florida back up north to Philadelphia, and U Pack was the perfect option. They bring a pod to your location, you fill it up, and they pick it up and drop it off wherever you want it. Then you unpack your things, and they pick it up again. We found their customer service to be extremely available, cordial, and helpful. When we decided to change our destination from Philadelphia to Margate, NJ, it was done with no problem at all. I would highly recommend U Pack if you're looking to make a move. read more

Earlier this year, we moved my mother-in-law across country from FL to OR. I felt like our quote was reasonable for the container size. U-pack ended up being super reliable and I am super thankful and grateful as we were going through a tough time. The drop-off and pick-up times were on-point and we had no issues. read more

Was promised delivery by 11/7 by 6pm. When I called I spoke to many managers including Robert and bailey who said Ubox was scheduled delivery by 6pm. Very very disappointed. Spent a lot of Money to be SCAMMED! Wouldn't recommend my Worst enemy to this company. Please make Sure you do your research before paying these scammers. Highly highly DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! read more

Working with this company was an absolute nightmare. My belongings arrived damaged and/or broken and when I filed a claim, I was told that I would not be reimbursed. I was told over the phone that there was insurance to cover any damages but come to find out, it only covers *certain* damage. Transporting my belongings recklessly was not covered. I never signed a contract or agreed to have them transport my things with basically NO insurance and they still refuse to accept any responsibility. In addition, they were almost late delivering the trailer. I called about 30 minutes prior to the window ending to let them know I had not recieved a call from the driver saying he was on his way (they are supposed to give you an hour notice). After being transferred around numerous times and being "disconnected" I was finally told that there was one stop ahead of me but the driver would be late. Then, the driver shows up without calling or giving me any notice. Upack and ABF Freight are the most unprofessional, disorganized, company I've ever dealt with. read more

We used them twice recently. The employees were ok, and the price was fantastic. Our stuff arrived in a relocube from Oregon. A lot of our things were squished in to prevent our stuff from shifting around. We loaded at the terminal/Upack site. Two months later we shipped our things back in 5 ft of trailer space. The employees were ok. Loading that trailer was hard. The bulkhead doors used to close everything in is such a pain in the ass. Our stuff in the trailer shifted around a lot regardless of how tight we tried to pack it. Overall, I like Upack and will use them again. I will only use the relocube going forward and try to use more blankets for padding. A 1 bedroom barely fits into one relocube or 5 ft of trailer space. read more

I loved the level of customer service and the politeness of the gentlemen who picked up and dropped off my upack pod. It was the EASIEST move EVER. I relocated to TN from FL and I was shocked when I was called and the pod was in the new city earlier than expected and ever over the holidays! Thank you to all for such an easy transition during such a hectic time of the year read more

I had originally contacted Uhaul and was so very specific with my request. The day before I needed to load they had my order so screwed up and told me I had to pay even more than what I had already paid. I ended up canceling my order and got on the phone with U-PACK. They saved my day! They had my U-Box here the next day earlier than I suspected. They also recommended an awesome company where I could get two strong individuals to load it. I only had ti call them and they picked it up and shipped it. I had it delivered in a few days, everything was perfect. The U-box was substantially stronger, cleaner, and more professional than the competitors too. Bobby the driver who dropped off the box for us to unload was professional and super friendly. Overall it was a flawless move and it couldn't have gone any smoother. I highly recommend them! read more

U-Pack made our move as smooth as a move can be. They delivered our trailers to us on time, and worked with us on last minute change of delivery. They were very accommodating. I totally recommend them for your move! We moved from Florida to Tennessee and all went smoothly. We needed two 28 ft trailers, and U-Pack delivered perfectly. Thank you U-Pack! read more

We moved from Florida to Vermont and I can not express how happy I am with U-pack moving. I had enough time to get it packed and unpacked. This was the easiest cross country move I've ever had. I can not thank them enough. They were flexible with my schedule, extremely professional, and courteous. I was able to get my family up to our new home without having to worry about how our stuff was going to get there. Best of all, there was a tracking website so I could check on where our things were at any time. The paperwork was easy and everything went great. If you're doing a long distance move, I can not recommend this enough. The price point was more than fair. We considered a diy moving truck, but this was roughly the same price when you factor in fuel and frustration. U-Pack is money well spent. If we have to do another long distance move, we'll be using them again. read more

Using UPACK for my move was a great decision. The container was delivered to my driveway and left there for me to load. Then after it was loaded they picked it up and transported it to Illinois. Again, they delivered it to my driveway and left it for me to unpack. The customer service was great and this method of moving was within my budget. It's very affordable. read more

We moved from Florida to California, and while the process as a whole was complicated, U-Pack's piece of the process was super smooth. We loaded at the facility because the trailer wouldn't fit on our driveway or street. everyone, from the person on the phone to the people at the facility were so incredibly nice and helpful. We were charged exactly what we expected to be charged and our stuff arrived at our house 30 minutes after we did when we made it to CA. When the trailer also wasn't going to fit there (which we didn't know beforehand) they let us unload the trailer really quick and then they drove it away. The guy that helped us was so helpful and even helped us unload, which is totally not his job. If we ever move a far distance again we will for sure use U-Pack and we highly recommend it. Things I'd do differently: allot more time in our schedule to pack the trailer really well, protect our furniture better for items shifting (a few things have some scratches) For me the worst part about moving was having to navigate who wants to scam you and who is legit. U-pack is legit AND they don't call you everyday which is what other companies did (so annoying). read more

Both my sister and myself had major problems. I'll speak for my situation here. UPack showed up on time dropped off a huge cube trailer and came and picked it up on time. They shipped it to a facility in another state and there it sat for two weeks, again no problems. Once we purchased our new home we had the trailer delivered to new home. Upon unloading it the movers (contracted through U-Pack ) immediately showed us that at some time during the shipping , our furniture fell over onto other furniture literally damaging every piece. I took pictures of the toppled mess before the movers began and then took pictures of every piece of furniture as it was being moved out of the trailer. I called U-Pack and notified them immediately while the movers were unloading. They directed me to there website to which I filled out the damage report in great detail. After three months I sent them certified mail signed receipt informing them that this isn't going away and they need to contact me to find a resolution. All of the furniture we had was purchased after we lost everything due to hurricane Irma. All the items were barely a year old and some items were never used in our front room for show. All was chipped broken dented or scratched. The movers that loaded the truck we found out disassembled a table that did not disassemble and the legs were broken off. Our bed was several thousands of dollars which was adjustable using motors but the movers forced them into contortion in order to fit them in an (Z) shape also tearing the cloth on the surface. Too many examples to list but the end result is a house full of scratch and dent new furniture which we spent twenty thousand on. Absurdly we spent sixteen on the move in total. We paid them to destroy our property and move it. Absolutely upset. They have yet to contact me for resolution so we are in the process of suing them in small claims court and they will end up paying the maximum amount when they could've gotten away with simply following there trash policy of .60 cents per pound. I strongly suggest you insure all your items and document every item before U-Pack gets there hands on it and then after. Take pictures of the inside of the truck. Reminds me, there was some type of water leak evidently as the boxes were wet crushed in and black stained. Our moving pads purchased from Amazon were torn and shredded as if the truck got into a collision throwing everything around. We will have the court order for accident details in transit which maybe why they are trying to hide and avoid litigation. They have done this to others as my sister tells me after the fact the same things happened to her furniture when she used them. There Headquarters are in Arizona and they do not return phone calls and avoid customers at all cost. Subpoena them and they call. Have all pictures on other phone read more

This was so easy . Had to move some of my moms stuff from Florida to NC , the moving company's wanted thousands of dollars to do it and I was about to give it all away before paying that so then I called U Pack and they saved me . Everything went smoothly and I was able to get it done ASAP with no delays . Only thing is you have to load and unload yourself or pay someone to do it but if you can handle that then this is the way to go. read more

I have used UPack twice in 5 years and both times it was a stellar experience. Everyone, and I mean everyone was courteous, professional, helpful and pleasant to work with. Many companies tout their customer service, UPack employees live it! Any questions I had were answered promptly and any problems were solved in a few minutes because the employees are empowered to make decisions. I can't emphasize enough what a great experience working with UPack is! From the dispatchers to the drivers to anyone in between there is a team spirit that delivers prompt, excellent service! read more

About 1/4 of the cost of full service moving companies AND because they sub-contract with many other local movers, they were the only ones who would accommodate our move from a very rural area in WY. Because they work on a network of subcontracting, we were told it is important to lock your stuff up tight. And obviously you pack and load, so pack it so it doesn't shift or rattle around in transit. We bought about 5 ratchet straps that fit into the grooves of the truck at two foot intervals. Driver delivered the trailer and they gave us 6 days to load, provided a ramp and heavy wooden bulkheads to separate our belongings with the next customers. The locking bars on the bulkheads have tiny holes to thread, way too small for a pad-lock or bike chain, so we used gun safety locks. They fit fine and locked up tight. The shipment arrived in Tampa in precisely the same shape we left it in -packed up in WY. They estimate delivery time between 7-9 days, but were accommodating to us to delay it by a few days to fit our schedule. Both drivers we encountered were considerate of where to park to stay out of the way and allow best positioning for loading and unloading. Their service centre crew (Rita, Tom, Richard, Brian) were pleasant and helpful in tracking and answering questions. They recommended a local Tampa moving crew, "3 Men No Truck" to help us unload quickly who were also fantastic. It went as smoothly as a move could possibly go. I hope NOT to need moving services again for a long time, but if I did, I would be happy to call U-Pack again. read more

We used the U-Pack service for a move from Washington State to Florida. The trailer was delivered in Washington on the date promised by a courteous driver. The trailer was clean and ready to load. The ramp and bulkhead worked as expected. After loading, they retrieved the trailer the next day. As it made its way across the country, the tracking feature let us know where the trailer was in the journey. It arrived in Tampa after 10 days and was delivered promptly. The telephone contacts at ABF and the two terminals were very professional and efficient. I would definitely use this service again if moving (which I don't hope I ever have to do again!). :-) Thanks U-Pack! read more

My mom passed away suddenly, so we were ill prepared to handle her belongings, not to mention we all lived out of state. We flew into Tampa on a Wednesday, our trailer was delivered on Thurs as promised. We packed up her house and all flew home on Sunday. The trailer was picked up Monday morning, we weren't even there. Approx 1 week later it was delivered to my home near St Louis MO. Every single person we dealt with was very kind and very professional. This was a very difficult time for us and Upack did their part to make it as easy as possible. I would use them again and would recommend them without hesitation. A stand up company!!!! read more

Looking for a less expensive way to move our daughter from Fla to Texas and found the Relo-Cube. For an all inclusive price they delivered the cube to us on a Friday, we packed her stuff in two days, called for pickup. They picked up on Monday with a estimated delivery in 5-7 business days. That was on 2/25 and the cube was delivered to her new house on Tuesday 3/5 (would have been Monday but weather was bad and to their credit they refused to put their workers in danger due to slippery conditions). We had the cube unpacked in about 30 minutes, called U-Pack back and within an hour or so they had come back to get the empty cube. We did not move furniture, just boxes and boxes of stuff. Not sure how this would work with a house full of furniture. I would definitely recommend their service. read more

Used ABF upack from move from east coast to west coast. Highly pleased with speed, communication and reliability of this company. Unpacked it and called them when we were ready and they came and got it the same day. read more

We recently moved to Clearwater Florida from Santa Rosa CA. We contracted U pack to transport our household belongings. We watched their instruction video four times and loaded the trailer accordingly. The ramp they sent was defective and the support leg brace wouldn't extend and was dangerous. No ramp and it was Saturday, no help or support to switch ramps until Monday. We loaded it anyway and needed them to pickup the trailer because the house was sold and we had to go. They left us off the schedule and said they were sorry. They did show up later and the driver was rude. Bottom line we loaded that trailer tight and right. Extra straps and furniture pads. When we received the trailer at our new home our washer tub was collapsed and the rubber boot for the door was melted. The dryer was dented and our entertainment center was smashed. We took pictures and called them and they told us they were not responsible. So, live and learn. No way would I do business with them again and wouldn't recommend U pack either! Beware! Thanks. read more

If your looking for a self move company to get your possessions from here to there, I highly recommend ABF Freight who owns and runs U-Pack. This is similar to POD or U-Haul and Pack Rat. I hate to even list those other names but competition is good. Wait, there is no competition U-Pack ABF Freight is the best. I've used them twice almost a year apart 04/2013 and again just last week. I used two of their cubes for the first move from IL. to FL. and it was excellent, nothing broken, everything on time just as scheduled. The U-Pack in Northern Illinois and in Tampa Fl. deserves 5 stars. Second move, mother and father-in law down to FL. Again the employees at ABF Freight U Pack are the best, great customer service, great prices, actually the absolute best prices. THOUSANDS, yes thousands better then Pack Rat, several hundred better than PODS and much, much better containers than U-Haul's service like this. Your property is safe, secure, no moisture, no damage. Great communication, from ordering to delivery. I cant say enough good things about the two experiences my family has enjoyed from ABF Freight U Pack. It's stressful to move and this company takes a ton of stress out of the process. Thank You U Pack Rockford IL and Tampa FL. read more

We moved across the country (Ohio to Florida) with UPack. It was easy and fast. I recommend this service with a few extra tips. Our relocube arrived at our origin point late (needed to take the day off to wait for it) and when it was delivered to our destination they gave us an 8-5 window so we needed the day off work again. Our relocube had some damage when we got it which is why I only give four stars. A word of caution- the company advises using cardboard boxes over plastic totes- DON'T! Our plastic totes stayed secure and were undamaged but a lot of our cardboard boxes were smashed and damaged from jumbling around. We moved a studio apartment with just one cube. Overall I recommend them, they are fast and affordable and have great customer service. However, be prepared to take some days off work and don't follow their advice about using cardboard boxes unless you can strap every single box down. Items shift inside and you want sturdy totes with lots of packing material instead. read more

If you do not value your items use this company. If you do, find someone else. I used Upack to ship my items from Carrollton, TX to St. Pete Florida. From the beginning the company was helpful and professional. The sales guy got me set up very quickly, I asked about insurance and he said oh its all covered in the price. Little did I know, nor did he explain that what is covered is $0.10 per pound REGARDLESS of what the item is. I only found this out on the back end, when my entire shipment was ruined... but we will get there. A day before my scheduled pick up they called to tell me when need to change your pick-up date. As you can imagine when coordinating a big move like this you can just change things last minute, as movers had been hired and so forth. After a few calls with dispatch they were able to keep my original plan as scheduled, which I was very grateful for. Pickup day came and the driver was late, didn't call, didn't try to reach out to anyone. After waiting 20 minutes and calling dispatch a couple of times they were able to locate him and get him to the pick up. Everything was picked up on Friday, and I was given an estimated arrival of Monday - Wednesday. Monday comes and goes, I get no update. I log on to the tracking website and it tells me my stuff will arrive the following week. Again not cool, I have arranged family to be in town to help me unload all of my items. I call on Tuesday to get an update and they tell me oh that is wrong it looks like it should be to you on Wednesday. So skip forward to Wednesday, still haven't heard from anyone on scheduling drop off or given any kind of update. Call again and they confirm that I will get my stuff on Thursday. Thursday they do deliver items as scheduled. Driver was nice and helpful. When I went to unload the contents, it was very easy to see the entire shipment was destroyed. The best way to describe it is the entire trailer looked like it rolled down a hill. My kitchen table was broken. My washer and dryer were complete destroyed (seriously didn't even know you could break a washer and dryer). Every single piece of furniture was scraped, scratched, dented and dinged. Every box was crushed in. When I went to file a claim only requesting funds for items completely destroyed (kitchen table, and washer and dryer). I was informed that they would only reimburse $0.10 per pound. I was literally dumbfounded. When I called to ask about this the woman in the claims department said "well you can put down whatever $$ you feel appropriate, it is just a suggestion." I knew this was not going to be the case but went forward filing my claim asking for $550. Not what it would cost me to go out and buy these items that I lost new but what I could most likely resale them for (again only claiming the 3 items and not the entire shipment). Their response to my claim was we only have to pay you $0.10 per pound per our contract, but in the spirit of compromise we are willing to offer $200. While do appreciate them not totally screwing me, I find it inconceivable that they believe a person's entire possessions in the world are worth $0.10 per pound. For this reason and this reason alone I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN AND DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE DO, unless you do not value your items. read more
