It's nice to have the beds and dining table already reassembled in the new place. The only thing I've noticed is that a piece was broken off my bed frame but had been placed back so it wasn't immediately noticeable until I went to make the bed. I can easily glue it but I would've preferred them owning up to it. All in all, definitely worth the price.

We always provide COLD water to our movers and they do appreciate it. They were friendly and the cost compared to other movers was very reasonable and lower overall. I would not hesitate to use them again (although we hope to never move again) if needed. Had very little damage and it was repaired ASAP to our satisfaction. After hours on a truck across the country it is wonderful the damage was so limited which shows how well they packed items. You will not be sorry if you hire them.

Then make sure everything has either arrived properly or that you have written confirmation you will be reimbursed a certain amount for any specific damage. If they don't agree, get someone else. 5. Think seriously about hiring some other mover. LFH

BE VERY CAREFUL ON HOW THESE PEOPLE WILL TRY TO CHARGE YOU MORE!!!…read more If the above were to happen again, I would have ask them to leave my freaking property!!! Also I learned from experience to book a move at least a few days before I REALLY have to move (drive the Uhual truck or arrange for the UPack/UBox to get picked up after loading or whatever I'm using). This way I have the option of telling these CLOWNS to get the F*@K out of my property!!!! And I will find someone else!!! I used them last year for my move in Fargo. I needed to move again recently and NO WAY I WILL USED TWO MEN AND A TRUCK AGAIN!! They were milking it and stood around doing nothing!!! The "foreman/charge" person is constantly on the phone "supposedly" with the boss trying to figure out "how much EXTRA to charge me IF GOING OVER THE BOOKED TIME!!! Then there is his iPad looking thing that was not working properly!!! I asked him to put it down and just move my stuff ALREADY!!! But he kept insisting trying to get it working. He spent a total of over an hour trying (on the phone with the boss and tech support!!!) on MY DIME!!! WTF!! No wonder I see they have a 2.5 STAR RATING!!! Really should be NO STAR, if that's an option!!!

By far the worst moving experience I have ever suffered. Plenty of assurances and promises, only to…read morebe met with changes, misrepresentations, and massive overcharging. Careless movers who damaged several items and showed absolutely no concern for doing so... not even a "sorry". I asked the movers about the first two issues and their response was "it was already like that" (i.e. we didn't do it). That was a flat-out lie as the damage was caused by them. It seems that their policy is to simply deny responsibility and if you don't have pictures to prove the damage you are just out of luck. There were other issues but by then I decided it was pointless, I just wanted them gone. The final bill was DOUBLE the estimate, with many highly questionable "add-on" charges that I felt at the time, and still do feel, were a complete scam. I wanted to file a complaint, but frankly, I did not know who to complain to. I created a Yelp account just to speak out about how terrible this company is. My advice to stay far away from this company. My opinion is that they are not trustworthy. Neither with the proper handling of your belongings or with an honest bill at the end. My opinion is that The Apartment Movers is a very shady company and you should avoid them and go with literally anyone else.

In the end I was charged $2400!?!? They hire a handful of NDSU college kids, and don't allow them to take breaks. So after a few hours the kids slow down more and more, and spin their wheels. An extraordinary amount of time was spent staring into the back of the truck "thinking". Also, they used zero moving blankets--mine was a local move--so boxes shifted, antique furniture pieces rubbed together, etc. They damaged the paint on my washer and dryer because they didn't have the dolly straps seated properly. They didn't take responsibility for any of the damages-- it was somehow all my fault (I "didn't pack my boxes carefully enough", they "aren't responsible for antiques", etc. All bullcrap!). I only hired movers because I had a broken wrist and had a total knee replacement 4 months earlier, and I was moving out of a second floor apartment during a pandemic. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND A-1 AT ALL, EVER! Utterly horrible experience.

I had items freighted from across country and in storage at a freight terminal, awaiting the move into storage. They came on time and unloaded that container, transferred items to their truck and delivered them to a storage unit 50 miles distant. I had a lot of items that had sustained damage - due to careless packing by a different company - while in transit across country and they were very obliging in documenting and providing me with emailed pics that showed the condition of the items as they found them in the freight container. I would highly recommend this company for their friendly, professional services, careful packing and handling of items, and willingness to work with customers.
