Wow. What a find. Got a recommendation from our Air BnB hosts in Syracuse and the ride was so worth it. Buccheri is up in the hills so it was windy and cooler so we worked up an appetite walking around with our guides Francesca and Jennifer. The wine was great and only 3€ for a pitcher that gave us both two glasses. Amazing. The food was all local as the name suggests so it's totally organic and sooo fresh. Even the olive oil is made in town and there is no way to explain how good it tastes. Just the bread and oil were to die for. The pasta we had was ravioli with a silky smooth tomato sauce that managed to be bright and not acidic. Very creamy ricotta cheese filling. A thin but tender steak and simple arugula salad finished off with the best pomegranate sorbet I've ever had. Full of flavor but not too tart. Service was prompt but not doting. All for less than 50€. Unbelievable. Pinch me. Loved this place. read more
