I learned of this restaurant through my waiter from breakfast. He said it was a great dining experience and it would seem to be right up my alley after we learned about each other at breakfast.
The restaurant is located on Rašínovo Nábř, along the Vltava River. Once you walk inside, you go down a couple steps into a neat and lively dining area. I didn't make a reservation and at the time (5:30pm), the only seating they could offer me was outside. Luckily, I was by myself but if you have a larger group, definitely make a reservation.
As with most my meals while I have been in Prague, I asked my waiter what they like best. He recommended the Stracciatella Cheese & Grilled Peppers for an appetizer, then the Lamb from the White Carpathians for the entree. So to save myself from decision fatigue, I got exactly that.
I was blown away by the appetizer. The peppers were grilled perfectly, then pair that with the stracciatella created a blend of flavor that I didn't know I was missing in my life. The dish came with a fresh bread which made for the perfect carb to soak up all the tasty juices. At this point, I was also able to try their lemonade which I couldn't help but chug quickly. I actually got to taste the second glass and it was delicious.
After about 15 minutes, my entree came out and I was blown away by the beauty of the dish. It was a beautiful day in Prague; I was seated near to the river; the city was breathing; and the food was the perfect crescendo to my day. Cooked perfectly and tasting of the utmost quality, the lamb tasted of heaven in each bite. The sauce in which the dish was swimming in provided incredible flavor without being heavy or overpowering. I do not have enough good things to say about the dish, as it was definitely one of the best I'd had in Prague so far.
My experience here was perfect through the lens of my memory. The staff, the area, the food, and every other factor created the perfect ensemble for a dinner experience. I have no doubt that you would enjoy this place if you decide to dine here. read more
