I used Priceline to secure a $26 a day rate. It was a mystery car! When I got to the location the…read moreperson at the desk insisted a "Huge Truck" was the Mystery Car! I was very upset not only do I hate trucks but it said mystery CAR ! He then proceeded to pretend he was doing me a Favor by charging me additional $17 raising my original Total which had been originally $63 for the two days and the 26.00 down payment for the insurance that I paid to Priceline, to a total of $83 . I was upset and a little disgusted at their underhanded behavior but I continued with the rental ! Biggest mistake I've ever made! On the evening of the second day I got sick very ill and called in to ask how much more it would cost to extend it for One more day. They insisted on charging me from my 83 dollar balance to a total of 136.00 plus the $26 down payment for the 3 days! While I was talking to customer service who extended it, I inquired how much of a grace period I had? Everybody was scheduled at noon that day to pick up and I spent some time waiting. More additional time to figure out of course the new car settings etc. She told me I had up to 7 hours before they would charge for an Additional day! I said really ,are you sure ? She said it two or three times. I said okay but it's showing here that they're closing at 4:00 p.m. that day and again she said I had an additional 7 hours of Grace where I would not be charged. To make things worse, I got pulled over by the police department and I was informed that the registration was not current for some months or so! The police department said that even though it was a rental car I was the one that was Responsible and would be ticketed for such! Back and forth all day to get proof of registration ended in Zilch !The smart Aleck , Asinine location where I rented the car -claimed they didn't have proof of registration !The Corporate office for Budget also denied to have access to the registration on Their vehicle! Beware! DO not rent from any of these people, locations or any of these companies involved ! Neither Budget nor Avis! You might find yourself with a ticket and having to go in person to answer to it,IN some other state or some other city that is inconvenient to you! With no proof of registration ! On the Saturday when I went to return it ,3 Days later from the original rental ,and actually about an Hour over the time from when I actually rented the vehicle ,The person at the desk (Dave) kept insisting that I would have to pay for another day! I told him to call his Corporate office to check on the 7 hours she had told me!He refused to do so! I explained that the call had been recorded so I didn't need to make it up since I do not work for the company! To say he was nasty, rude ,arrogant ..would be an understatement. When he handed me my bill he had charged me a total of $177. I asked him what was that for? How could it be that high for 3 days at $26 a day. He said he charged me for another day! I said you mean to tell me that you've charged me for another day and that you drove the car around the back and parked it! He said" Well that's what I get for not listening to him" and that is a direct quote!! Needless to say besides being furious to the point of where I needed to step outside, there was his belittling, as though I were his SERVANT, Attitude! How dare him tell me that's what I get for not listening to him ! A bill over $210 for a 3 day for $26/day rental??? Also he deliberately overcharged me for the difference between a truck and a car, online the difference was only $5 from 26.00 to $30 with the insurance it would have only been $43 a day * 3. A total of 129 plus tax! They are liars and crooks! Clearly they got out of the Used car business to make more money AS Rental Car Crooks!

As for the truck I rented, it had 93K plus miles on it and always smelled like gas. the front shocks were worn out. The auto trailer had a tire strap that was almost cut in half, I had the location I picked up the trailer replace it before I would accept it. My advise, totally check out the equipment before you accept it. If you have no idea how to do that, you probably shouldn't be using/driving it. These trucks can weigh over 26,000 lbs (thats 6 times the weight of a typical car).

I told here I wasn't going to argue with her and that she did not need my email address to rent me an appliance dolly. I said if you don't want to rent me the dolly I guess I can go somewhere else. She tossed my driver's license back at me and said she wasn't going to rent the appliance dolly to me. I called U-Haul and filed a complaint. The customer service person called the store and the U-Haul clerk said I cursed at her which I did not! The U-Haul store has plenty of surveillance it wouldn't be hard to verify my story! I live in Virginia and am in Leesburg Florida to pack up my deceased mothers house. It's a hard enough job with out having to deal with this extra hassle. I guess U-Haul thinks this is acceptable behavior.

Looks like they took their time to pick through what they wanted and didn't want. Called the office to report hours ago and haven't heard back, the busy police department was able to get out to right a report within 15 minutes, but this company must be too busy to care.

Since the compartments were locked, someone has a key and access into this storage facility so they go to whatever RV's their keys will unlock and take whatever they want. The first time this happened, I reported it to Midgard and their only response was to tell me to make a police report and file a claim with my insurance. I don't think this is a very secure facility since they don't seem to be able to control this type theft. I have used maybe 6 other storage facilities for my RV over 8 years and have never been robbed within the facility. There is a reason the price was so cheap to rent here.
