Their employees were friendly, funny, and incredibly efficient. Keep in mind, the move was from Edmonton to Vancouver (a 12 hour drive) so My girlfriend and I drove down the day before, stayed in a hotel and arrived at our apartment at 8am the next morning. Much to our surprise QHP was already there when we showed up and had half of the truck unloaded! The unloading was complete before noon. As if we weren't pleased enough with them being helpful and ahead of schedule, our final cost ended up being LOWER than what they had quoted us. (Not to say that will happen in every case, but we lucked out) I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a short or long-distance move. They called to confirm, so we spoke less than 2 hours before the appointment. I told the estimator I would be there. On the way home, there was a major accident and I got stuck in traffic. Tried to get ahold of the estimator by 2 phone numbers and email, and they did not answer or respond. Got home 15 minutes late and they had already left. In today's day and age, you need to be able to answer a phone call to handle off-situations like this. If you can't even do that for an estimate, I'd hate to see their service during an actual move.

I rent a 10 x 10 indoor heated unit and everytime that we access the area, the whole of the building is spotless! Wes and Danelle really keep the grounds and structure sanitary. Security at this location seems very good with cameras, locking gates and live-in care taker. I am very impressed with Sentinel Self Storage's Business and Customer Service in general. I was going to rent a self storage at the downtown Edmonton location and had used the on-line booking form to which I had put $50 down. I then changed my mind and went to the 136 Avenue Location. The Facility operator at the downtown location phoned me twice subsequently to ensure that I receive my $50 deposit back! I was astounded at their tenacity in making sure that I get my refund! Now that is what I call customer service! As well, there is no gouging with this company. Your contract to end the rental requests a 24 hour notice of vacancy, not the typical one month, etc., Otherwise you will be charged another month's rent. Sentinel's rental contract is easy to read and very to the point which I like and also gives you an understanding of the companies' respect to it's customer: no fine print or hidden or ambush maneuvers which crop up afterwards. Another bonus, they have a loaner vehicle that you can reserve to move your stuff, just book with some notice. There is no added cost for this service. Sentinel Self Storage is a wonderful and hassle-free company where you can rent a storage unit of all sizes and be assured that is is clean and pest free. The company has a very good web site that gives current information on monthly specials and availability for units at various locations.
