We staged our split items into 4 different areas in the house (plus the large items were in their places in the home. Carlos, Victor, and Lenar were a pleasure to spend the day with. We ended up having them for about 7.5 hours. They were careful with all of our belongings and did an excellent job in keeping our stuff separate and accommodating all of our needs. I will be using Budget Movers again 9 days later for another move and I now know that I won't be disappointed using Budget. You can really tell they take bring in their work and providing great customer service.

I am changing my 1 star review to a 4 star because I believe they have really improved. Original 1 star review: I went to this location to rent a truck for moving. I have never rented a truck, and do not know much about renting vehicles. The person behind the counter was very rude. As I was trying to read the paperwork, he got very impatient and told me "all you need to do is click ok". When it came to the insurance, I was trying to decide what option would be best. He didn't give me time to read each one, when he started to ask other people they can help me because "it's not that hard to choose an option". The whole time I was being helped, I felt like incapable of making any decisions. He was also rude with other workers there. There was even some curse words exchanged. Very unprofessional. When I returned the truck the next day, I went to someone else who can help me. She was very rude as well. While I was asking her about the paper, the rudely replied "that's why you read the highlighted parts". They also charged me for 30 miles, even though I used 10.5. When I asked them about it, they would not give me a straight answer, and continued to treat me rudely. I was very disappointed, and will not be visiting this location again. Nor am I recommending this location to anyone. I will gladly go to a different location, or company, even if that means spending more money.

On November 28, I received an email from someone who looked like the manager saying they didn't have the 15-foot truck I reserved. They told me I had to go to the Tigard location to pick up a truck instead. They said I would get a $20 discount and 50 extra miles, but these changes were made for their benefit, not mine. When I drove by the Beaverton location that same morning on my way to Tigard, I saw plenty of trucks sitting on the lot. So I don't understand why they couldn't give me one of those. It felt like they just wanted me to move their truck to Salem for them. They also changed my drop-off location without asking. Instead of dropping the truck near my sister's home, I had to go 12 minutes farther away. When I dropped the truck off and tried explaining what happened, the employee didn't care at all. She took the receipt and told me someone would contact me. Nobody ever did. They clearly don't care about customer service. On November 28, I ended up paying and doing extra work for U-Haul, driving their truck where they wanted it. To other customers: When U-Haul changes your reservation, ask why. I specifically researched and booked a cargo van, as my move included a height-restricted parking garage (can't fit with a box truck). After receiving a confirmation and arriving on-time, we were advised (rudely) that the cargo vans cannot be rented for one-way rentals. This contradicts what the reservation states. We were told we could "change the reservation to a box truck or leave without anything." Very incompetent service and seems to be their standard based on these other reviews. Not sure if this is representative of the Budget Truck brand in general, or just the Beaverton branch. Either way, I'll be avoiding this company altogether and would advise all others to do the same. I'm also laughing at the review responses requesting clients to call a number to discuss further.... What a joke! If the manager truly cared about their business, I imagine their average rating wouldn't be so low.

Upon arriving, I was a little worried but that quickly faded. During check-in, there were the standard questions but nothing like what I had been through with a competitor of theirs. When I went out to do the damage assessment on the nearly brand new truck, the owner found a decent amount of damage compared to most normal people (I use to be a damage assessor). He also went over the inside components like the lights, radio, etc. Awesome experience. The truck was a 16-foot 2019 GMC with 21k miles and climbed hills like a dream. My wife drove my F250 while I followed in the box truck and except for needing to slow down in corners (expected), I was able to keep up without issues. On my first trip, I used a COMPETITORS 26 foot truck and they gave me an 18 year old worn out diesel that couldn't climb hills if it's life depended on it (35mph, really?). They had also interrogated me on my insurance when I opted not to use theirs, making me fill out additional paperwork with my insurance information and such. While I'm not in Oregon anymore, I wish this location luck. Their customer service and truck quality is so much better than their competitors.

According to him, cargo vans are booked out for three months. Seems to me that perhaps you shouldn't be taking reservations on vehicles you don't have; this is pretty basic. I am shocked that Enterprise would proffer this excuse; not exactly a brilliant business model, and definitely represented by someone vastly under qualified for the role he is performing. I've been working with Enterprise for 25 years, and rented as recently as yesterday. My relationship with Enterprise is officially over. Keep up the great work!

After all, I'm basically renting a garage for my stuff, it's not that big of a deal. Years later, I've been to enough storage facilities to know that this was a deeply naive view. I've had storage facilities fail to process my monthly fees, give me a hassle when I try to move my stuff out, and sock me with some serious late fees (I've got a memory like a steel sieve). Iron Gate Storage is as simple as storage seems like it should be, period. The people at the front office are helpful and laid back, payment online was easy, and when I inevitably forgot, it was easy to quickly pay and get access to my stuff--I had it sorted in 5 minutes. When I eventually found a place large enough to store my stupid amount of stuff, moving out was just as easy as moving in--no hassle, and last-minute notification of my leaving was no problem. If I ever need to store anything ever again, you guys are first on my list.

They rented the truck out to me with under a quarter of a tank of gas, which in itself is ridiculous. I returned the truck also still under the quarter tank mark, but then got charged 30 extra dollars because I turned the truck in under a quarter of a tank of gas. I called and explained to the guy that when it was given to me, it was under the quarter tank mark. He said it didn't matter and that I signed the contract stating that I would fill it over a quarter of a tank of gas. Mind you, there is an entire page of tiny written print that I didn't go over with a fine tooth comb, never thinking I would have to put in more gas than what they gave me. They were unwilling to compromise when I called and refused to reverse the $30 fuel fee. I will never use this U-Haul company again! Save your money and go somewhere else!! Absolutely ridiculous to pay over $100 for a "$19.95" truck when moving within a 5 mile radius!

On U-Haul's own page it reads their truck gets 200 miles per gallon. Truck was well above the mark I need to return the truck. I get a charge and receipt saying the truck was well below the mark to return. There are other reviews with the same accusation. Will never come back to this location.
