My husband and I reached out to one of the realtors, Lori Wills in regards to a property as we just…read moremoved here from Texas. We had our pre approval letter in hand and asked to see one of her homes. She rarely addressed our concerns with why the property was on the market for so long, made no recommendations for what we were looking for and told us she felt my husband and I were too young and not serious enough to be looking for a home. When I requested to speak with her supervisor she gave me the run around and I would leave several voicemails for the number she gave me who she claimed was her broker. A week later and I still haven't received a call back. When we spotted her last night at a bar we calmly asked if the house was still for sale as we were interested and she proceeded to tell us to reach out to Malmstrom housing and that we would have better luck with them. My husband asked me to leave her table and as I did she grabbed my wrist and handed me a napkin that stated "Look up Deegan Wills," and demanded I help bring justice to this town. There are better ways to get a lower commission rate and still have a realtor do what they can to help you buy a house. I will be letting my military family and friends know to avoid this company like the plague.

Come to find out a WEEK before closing that they were only fixing minimal issues for our VA loan and a $1k credit towards all of the Electrical issues that needed $6k or more work. All appearances are that it is a very professional business. But... They are very slow to move on repair issues. Calling or emailing them on a Monday morning doesn't even yield a status update by Wednesday morning. I can assure you that if it were their washer that wasn't working that they would have had it handled immediately! Jenna Macek has a bad attitude and says, "well, we didn't cause the washer to break" and "I'll call tomorrow" (2 days later). Wow, someone shouldn't be in customer service. We initially signed our contract with Krista, who seems great, but she is staying out of this latest fray and so is the dad, Mark. The receptionist, Miranda, had to tell Jenna right away when I was venting to her on the phone, which caused a call to me, at work, to tell me she, "didn't appreciate me bashing her!" I stopped her and told her to just do her job and hung up. This is exhausting and unprofessional. Too bad there's not someone who is willing to step up here. I really hate drama. Their properties are nice enough and the screening is extremely stringent, but the place we are renting has bullet holes in the back unit from a disgruntled former tenant and cannot be rented. We share a garage and the yard has to be accessed by both tenants to get to the garage so it will never be private. We had a terrible move-in condition report of small items that were nuisances like broken freezer door brackets, loose electrical switch plates, loose toilet brackets...things you don't notice when you move in right away. Slowly, slowly they send someone out...then they don't contact the landlord to get it approved for another week. This is the 2nd time around with the washing machine. The first time was 10 days while we had to use a coin-op laundry 3 miles away (nothing closer). Super annoying how I'm being ignored. I guess they figure they have all of the power. So I'm resorting to the internet to vent. If you like things to work in your house, don't rent from Macek.
