I had the hugest blessing of being matched with Kim Martin at Dascoulias Realty Group to work with. I cant begin to express the level of knowledge, professionalism, patience, and determination that Kim possesses. I had a lot of extra challenges preparing the home for sale as it was acquired from my mother who had recently passed. There were many repairs needed for the home, so this took some time to accomplish. I would often get extremely overwhelmed and stressed during this process, having to find contractors, arraigning appointments. Kim jumped on board and gave awesome recommendations, all of whom turned out to be incredible. She was beyond encouraging and supportive! Kim went above and beyond a countless number of helping me understand the process, making sure I was on track selling the home. She is so versed in the industry (with market values, facts and figures) not just rattling numbers off, but fulling explaining things. I can't express enough how she helped me stay calm, assured, and positive about this process. Every communication from her was a sigh of relief and she always had something to relevant and positive to convey! Kim is an absolute powerhouse in her field, and I hope to remain in touch with her. Her integrity, work ethic and passion for helping people is unlike anything I have ever seen, bless her!

Having dealt with a variety of rental companies over the years, J&K's practices seem to work not only for their own interest but also for ours. The apartment wasn't without its flaws but between our documentation and J&K's I feel like we shouldn't be arguing when it comes time to move out. So far we've had to submit 2 different maintenance requests. One of the requests was for 3 different items. None of the requests were simple, all of them were handled quickly and efficiently. If you're looking for a company you can take advantage of, you should probably look for another company. If you're looking for a company that's responsive and fair, then definitely give J&K managed properties a serious look.

We had our pre approval letter in hand and asked to see one of her homes. She rarely addressed our concerns with why the property was on the market for so long, made no recommendations for what we were looking for and told us she felt my husband and I were too young and not serious enough to be looking for a home. When I requested to speak with her supervisor she gave me the run around and I would leave several voicemails for the number she gave me who she claimed was her broker. A week later and I still haven't received a call back. When we spotted her last night at a bar we calmly asked if the house was still for sale as we were interested and she proceeded to tell us to reach out to Malmstrom housing and that we would have better luck with them. My husband asked me to leave her table and as I did she grabbed my wrist and handed me a napkin that stated "Look up Deegan Wills," and demanded I help bring justice to this town. There are better ways to get a lower commission rate and still have a realtor do what they can to help you buy a house. I will be letting my military family and friends know to avoid this company like the plague.

All appearances are that it is a very professional business. But... They are very slow to move on repair issues. Calling or emailing them on a Monday morning doesn't even yield a status update by Wednesday morning. I can assure you that if it were their washer that wasn't working that they would have had it handled immediately! Jenna Macek has a bad attitude and says, "well, we didn't cause the washer to break" and "I'll call tomorrow" (2 days later). Wow, someone shouldn't be in customer service. We initially signed our contract with Krista, who seems great, but she is staying out of this latest fray and so is the dad, Mark. The receptionist, Miranda, had to tell Jenna right away when I was venting to her on the phone, which caused a call to me, at work, to tell me she, "didn't appreciate me bashing her!" I stopped her and told her to just do her job and hung up. This is exhausting and unprofessional. Too bad there's not someone who is willing to step up here. I really hate drama. Their properties are nice enough and the screening is extremely stringent, but the place we are renting has bullet holes in the back unit from a disgruntled former tenant and cannot be rented. We share a garage and the yard has to be accessed by both tenants to get to the garage so it will never be private. We had a terrible move-in condition report of small items that were nuisances like broken freezer door brackets, loose electrical switch plates, loose toilet brackets...things you don't notice when you move in right away. Slowly, slowly they send someone out...then they don't contact the landlord to get it approved for another week. This is the 2nd time around with the washing machine. The first time was 10 days while we had to use a coin-op laundry 3 miles away (nothing closer). Super annoying how I'm being ignored. I guess they figure they have all of the power. So I'm resorting to the internet to vent. If you like things to work in your house, don't rent from Macek.
