At one point, a newly hired office employee called me and asked if I still worked for [name of company] and it literally only shared a first letter with my company, even though I had given the office staff a copy of my insurance card with the company name on it. This employee told me this wasn't an uncommon error and that she had been hired in the wake of multiple firings from previous staff who made a lot of mistakes. I decided to go to another local dentist that can actually figure out how to bill insurance and not hire people so easily confused. Again, the actual dentists and hygienists are fine... and hopefully the front office staff is much better than it was circa 2015-ish.

They put me through insanely painful X-rays (I've had plenty of X-rays and they are awkward but I've never had my mouth ripped up like this before, their equipment was so awkwardly designed) when I complained they were lacerating my mouth they said "no we aren't" and kept forcing me to continue. The dentist barely looked at one side of my mouth, mentioned a couple cavities and left, and then the dental staff -NOT the dentist- started diagnosing me with all kind of things no other dentist before seemed to have ever noticed were issues?!? They then wouldn't give me a preventative cleaning because they claimed I needed special treatments and gave me a very long list of things I was going to need. By that point I started googling reviews and I walked out without rescheduling and will be finding another dentist. If you read other reviews they have a reputation for predatorial business practices and pressuring patients into expensive treatments. It seemed so bizarre that a dental hygienist was diagnosing me with things first of all and for it to be things no other dentist had noticed before seems suspicious. And it wasn't a discussion of options , it was just moving me along toward scheduling for all this extra stuff. Dentist don't usually do that.... The energy of the office was just so... rushed and urgent and corporate. And my mouth hurts now from the X-ray equipment and I didn't even get a cleaning.... also just found out they have class action lawsuits against them in other states...

The dental assistant who assisted Dr. Houston during the crown and filling was so personable and made me feel relaxed and comfortable. She even brought me a blanket to cover myself with because I was cold. Dr. Houston is very professional, highly educated and yet is warm and easy to talk to. He used 3D imaging for my crown, and man, it is a perfect fit! His office is clean and modern. I would highly recommend Dr. Houston to anyone looking for a dentist. I am so glad I found his office.

I genuinely cannot say enough good things about Dr. Jill…read more I had a dental emergency late at night after an accident knocked one of my front teeth significantly out of place. I was scared, in pain, and had absolutely no idea what to do. I left a message through their emergency line, and Dr. Jill personally returned my call within minutes. She immediately jumped into action and went incredibly far above and beyond for me. She calmly walked me through what to do step by step (over the phone), stayed with me while I got my tooth back into position, checked in repeatedly about my pain and bleeding, reviewed my medications with me, answered every question I had, explained exactly what symptoms would mean I needed to go to the ER, and made sure I understood what follow-up care I would need. What struck me most was how incredibly kind she was. I was panicked when this happened, and she never once made me feel rushed, embarrassed, dramatic, or like I was inconveniencing her. She was patient, reassuring, knowledgeable, and genuinely cared about making sure I was okay. By the end of the call, my tooth was back where it belonged, my pain had significantly improved, and I had gone from being terrified to feeling like I understood what had happened and what I needed to do next. What makes this even more meaningful to me is that I wasn't even an established patient of Dr. Jill's or the dental office's. It was late at night, she had never met me, and she simply heard that someone was frightened and needed help and did everything she could to help me. That kind of humanity is rare, and I will not forget it. If this is how she treats someone she had never even met before, I can only imagine how well she takes care of her patients. Thank you, Dr. Jill. Truly. You were an absolute angel to me tonight.

But what I think everyone wants is good dental care and minimal pain. Would be nice if it were cheap, too. But that doesn't seem to be the world we live in. I've received awesome care during my extractions/filling/cleanings. Today has me in some pretty good pain (pulled a really stubborn upper wisdom today), but that's to be expected, I think, when you've pulled a tooth and a chunk of bone comes with it. I set up an exam went in and was made an appointment to get my implant and a bone graft at the same time in 9 days from my first. I thought I would have to have the graft put in then wait to see if it took. The people are nice and helpful. Everyone is so friendly. I am now waiting to heal. In February I will be able to get my implant exposed and my crown put on. If all has healed well. No guarantees everyone is different in how they heal. Or accept or decline the implant. I had some super sharp pain a few days after, but once I called they got me in, same day, for a check up to make sure everything was healing correctly, and they applied a gel that relived the pain almost immediately. They called a couple times to check in, and seem very dedicated to making sure all of their clients have the smoothest experience possible. Everyone in the office was extremely kind and professional, I felt very well taken care of. Dr. Welch is an easy guy to trust, and regardless of having a difficult week of healing, Northwest Oral and Implant Surgery really did everything they could do to make sure I was taken care of. As other reviewers have said, Dr. Park has excellent dentistry skills and chair side manner. I was surprised at how painless even the initial shots of Novacaine were. Any and all questions I had were fully explained. Two additional features that make OFD a five star business are the facility design and the support staff. When you walk into the office, you walk into a very relaxing, homey, and light filled waiting area with an adjacent, easy to observe kiddie area. But the treatment area is where the thoughtful design really works. Unlike other dental offices with little rooms or cubicles, this treatment area has roomy cubicles with a very high ceiling and huge windows across the length of the building, letting in tons of light, but the outside landscaping provides privacy. The space naturally makes you feel very relaxed and non-stressed. Everyone seems to genuinely like each other and work together very well. No matter how good a doctor is, if his front office sucks, it will affect his business and piss me off, so I pay extra attention to the service I get in front office. I am happy to say that Dr. Park's front office is efficient, friendly, and well managed. His back office staff is equally professional! ****FRAUD ALERT****…read more DO NOT USE THEM, I've never experienced worse service then i did here. They ask you to provide insurance info 3 days before visit or they will cancel. I sent mine, my daughter went in they tried to tell me every filling and root cancel she has ever had has failed and they need to redo all of it, phase 1 would be $8k, i said ok send me the breakdown, they did and we scheduled a few appointments, I was told my daughter needed a cleaning first they said they cleared the insurance it was 100% covered since she had one 7 months ago. They emailed me a breakdown of all the treatments which showed the cleaning was $0. I dropped my daughter off and once she was there they called demanding $140, i was confused and said its covered she said it wasn't so i said i have the email saying it is, she said oh i do see that and put me on hold and came back and said well the insurance doesn't cover this because she had it done 7 months ago so i need you to pay NOW. TOTAL bait and switch! I was fine to pay the $8K but I'm not paying a penny to a company who claims its free over and over then when they get you in the seat its oh we were wrong you owe now, not even a sorry! When i said i wasn't paying they stopped her exam in the middle of it and told her to go. I've never been so offended in my life! I've reported them for fraud!
