I prefer Confederate Candle... ohhhh…read more Inside the mall in The Woodlands is this Yankee Candle and I can barely even set foot in these places because it gives me a migraine instantly. I think I must be allergic to candles and strong scents. Barbie likes them so she usually pops in while I wait outside. Last time when she actually bought something here I came in with her so I could pay. Saw cute people in here - it's a shame I don't usually go into candle stores. Headache. Honestly though Yankee is too expensive and I would rather buy my candles from a little local place instead of this big national chain that is mostly in malls.

PS: though the map says this is near the Woodlands Mall, this store is IN the mall. It is currently on the second floor across from Bath & Body Works, though I think they might be moving cause it almost looks like they're packing as of June 2016. But I still come when online sells out of what I want or when there are coupons that only work in-store. By now you probably are familiar with Yankee; I know they've caught a lot of criticism since changing hands, but I never really had issues. And if anyone was gonna, I would. I only buy the large jars/tumblers, because I go through several in a month and my stash is usually 190-250 candles at a given moment. I've only ever returned/exchanged like, six, and four of those happened all at once this past week. So it's good product for me ( and is not the priciest brand I buy). This is the only retail outlet I've visited but staff is always friendly and helpful without being super in-your-face, which I LOATHE. I love LUSH, for example, but I dread going there because every employee descends and commences to cling to you like a monkey. It's almost assaultive if you're shy or anxious about conversation, and so I'm glad the Yankee employees don't quite get to that level of 'helpfulness'. They wrap everything securely and if I have a big haul (last time it was maybe 8 or 10 large jars) they even helped me get it to my car, so I didn't have to bring hubby to be my candle Sherpa or make two trips to the car. Nice!!! I don't require hand holding picking out a scent anymore, but if you need ideas or have questions, they are competent (I listen to them making suggestions to others). The return policy is very lenient; you should be able to shop with confidence. As far as price, yes, they are expensive from a simple dollars standpoint. However, they last a long time, making price per hour of use very reasonable, and there is almost ALWAYS a coupon if you go to the website and sign up. I get them in the mail occasionally and online CONSTANTLY. BOGO, B2G2, B3G3, $15 off 40, 50 off 100, free item with purchase, all kinds of things. The coupons almost all work in-store, though some are online-only and some (rare) are in-store only. If you find it pricey, SIGN UP for email. You can make out like a bandit! Yay for the Woodlands Mall store! EDIT: they weren't moving, they were just remodeling. They are still upstairs across from Bath & Body Works near the food court.

I mentioned that my party event was on a Sunday. i forgot who i made arrangements with but she was very nice and i felt welcomed. I paid in full with deposit and was told id get it after they pick up. I got a phone call a week or so give or take before the party and was asked if they can deliver on Friday and pick up on Monday and i was fine with that. They delivered and all was set. So a day before the party i started to set up the basics and found that 2 chairs were missing a screw to where i didnt feel they were safe to use so i called and left them messages to inform them of the issue and that i was not going to use them. Monday came , they picked up, I called them to make sure they got my messages and they did. They told me they were going to refund me for the chairs added to my deposit refund. Everything went smooth. I felt no hassle whatsoever. They were so friendly and their customer service was excellent. I will be going to them for any future events. I highly recommend them. Im usually worried of things going wrong but after my experience with them i know with them i will have no worries.

When my fiancé and I walked in and had our consultation with Brandy everything went smoothly. We had everything covered and I was happy. All the issues started once we paid them in full. First, they promised they would deliver and pickup on a Sunday - this was what we based our decision to use them. After we paid in full, they informed us that because it was a Sunday they were unable to deliver and pick up the linens and china. Even though we had CONFIRMED with them before signing anything that they could deliver and pickup on Sunday. My fiancé advised that we should ask for a refund then and we SHOULD have. Second, they charged us to rent a trailer FROM them, because they were unable to deliver. This trailer turned into a NIGHTMARE! When my family went to go pick up the trailer there was an accident and they were caught in traffic. Tomball Party Rental called us multiple times to say they weren't going to stay open late. After some negotiating they stayed late. When my family got there to pick up the trailer, it was a LOW BOY! An open trailer, with everything tied down to it! Brandy had assured me it would be a small, enclosed trailer "like a small Uhaul" were her words exactly. Considering we picked up the day before the wedding, there was a chance of rain that night, how were we going to secure all that merchandise (since we live out of town) over night?! So my parents loaded everything up in their vehicle and headed to the motel. The next day when we were setting everything up for the wedding, the silver chargers we warped, cracked and delaminating.Their napkins were also the thinnest thing possible so that you couldn't even fold them! (Which is something we had specifically wanted when we had the consultation.) Please learn from my mistake, do not EVER use this company for ANYTHING. I will never do business with them again.

Once you enter it's just one room filled from bottom to top with candles. The owner came out of nowhere after we entered and started talking to us about his candle choices. He had a lot of judgement to give us including how he doesn't use soy candles because they car carcinogenic, and how often people burn their candles wrong and burn their wax wrong. He even tried to give me a paper showing me how to burn my candles saying it was a crime that no other candle shops ever tell their customers how to burn candles. I get that he wants to educate people but when trying to sell product to someone seems like a very strange way to do that. Maybe he should sneak one of these informationals into a gift bag when people purchase. At the very least he needs to stop asking how people burn their candles, then judgmentally telling them that's the wrong way to burn candles, then giving them a flyer on how to do it right. However he did have some rather small candles which he claimed burned for 14 hours or so which if true would be great quality. I did not buy due to the condescension so I cannot attest. Some of the product was very oily and he noted that they were not selling so he's been discounting them just to move product.
