I had heard about Readers Magnet years ago when they called me about a previous book I had…read morepublished. Back then, they were noted on the internet as being a scam, so I went no further. Now in 2025, it appears they have glowing reviews. Are these real? I was just called for the third time in 2 weeks by someone from Readers Magnet who butchered the pronunciation of the title of my latest book, reading off a script, and the woman sounded like she was from a calling center in a foreign country. Why would I be skeptical, right? I asked her really nicely three times to remove me from the their list and she kept talking right over me. I had to hang up on her. None of this seemed professional or legit to me. Perhaps I am missing out on something wonderful. But if they had really researched my book, they would have noted that I have a publisher and they should not have been making a cold call like that.

My husband and I have a creative business (Cartoons & Caricatures by Dave) and have been doing…read morebusiness with Mountain Printers since we moved into Spring Valley about four years ago. As small business owners under tight, unpredictable deadlines we really count on other local businesses to be priced fairly, know their trade expertly and be flexible when we're in a pinch. (That's asking a lot!) Michelle and Bill, the owners of Mountain Printers, demonstrate these qualities every time we go through their doors. Truly, we feel so fortunate that my husband discovered them when he had a printing crisis several years back. Michelle and Bill are always so gracious, professional and efficient, no matter how hurried or under pressure we are. Michelle seems to have a sixth sense about when she needs to order our special paper, and she has been dogged, spending what amounted to hours, in trying to help us match color tones in printing for a particular client. We are insane about details, but we know that our projects in Bill and Michelle's expert hands will always come out superbly. That's a level of professional trust that doesn't come easy. In fact, before converting all of our print jobs to Mountain Printers, we resisted outsourcing any of our printing because we were so particular. After a couple of years of using their services regularly, we laugh and scratch our heads, wondering why we didn't have them do all of our work sooner. As for prices, Bill and Michelle are very fair. We actually found that having them print our materials actually saved us money--compared to both in-house and outsourcing our jobs, even though they use the finest paper for our type of work. And don't get us started about how they compare to places like Kinkos/FedEx or other chains. Not only are the prices so much better, but at the other places, we find that we have to do most of the "thinking" for the inexperienced workers. Bill and Michelle do not load a printer and press "Print." No, they understand the whole printing process, print quality, paper "tooth," color management, etc. So in short, it's a real pleasure to do business with Bill and Michelle. They are treasure to the neighborhood and to other small businesses like us. Bravo!
