From the beginning Lis was super communicative - I had no idea what I wanted for a cake and she helped me through the process. She texted me pictures of different potential designs, and helped me design my dream cake for this occasion! She also delivered the cake to my house in Philly within the time window that we discussed. From a business perspective, she perfectly communicated the entire process and was VERY responsive to everything! Now for the cake - AMAZING! We got a chocolate and vanilla layered cake with buttercream frosting. The design was SO beautiful, elegant, and blew my family away. I'm always concerned with 4 layer cakes because sometimes the cake can be "too dense" which isn't my preference - but this cake was perfect! Moist and delicious. Once inside we were greeted by employees that let us know the items for sale were in the back of the store. I found that to be a bit different, that all the baking is done upfront, so you can see things being made from scratch. I wanted to try everything, but the waistline nor the pocketbook would allow that. Between me and my daughter, we decided on the Bread pudding (delicious), Peach cobbler (my favorite), taste like homemade! Turkey Bacon cupcake ,they candied the bacon on top. When you walk in, there's an older gentleman who has his wet and dry ingredients in bowls and ready to be mixed and concocted for whatever is on the menu that day. Now how often do you enter a bakery and see all of the ingredients on the table and made right in front of you? I went to the back where all of the precious desserts were being shelved and stored and my eyes grew large. I had asked the young lady if their chocolate cookies were soft and she told me they were pretty popular. Needless to say, I bought a dozen alongside the three cupcakes at the bottom. There was even a woman who entered and said she had just bought some of their oatmeal raisin cookies and had to come back and get more. The information stated the cake would be sent the first week of the month and that I would be notified when it was sent. I never received a notice. My mom did not receive any cake. I reached out via the contact option in the website. I received no answer. I then reached out via email. Again - no response. I then called during listed business hours and received a robotic voice mail message stating I should leave a message. I did, but no one called or followed up. I finally reached out via email one last time requesting information on when the first cake would be sent or - if none could be provided - a refund was expected. I still received no response but I did receive a refund - but no explanation of any kind.
