The beach is within walking distance! The square footage for the condo is massive! It is very roomy for a family! However the hot water heater does not meet the demands of the condo! There is a whirlpool tub in the master suite that you cannot use because there isn't enough hot water for it. The dinning room table and chairs present a huge safety hazard! The legs are about to fall off!!! As far as the kitchen supplies they are adequate! I would strongly recommend you bringing your own cooking utensils, if possible! There are two amazing restaurants that are right next door that you have to try! Frannies on the beach and Spanky's Beachside are absolute must! The food and drink are amazing there!! Would we book this condo again? Eh possibly! If the forward concerns where met.

They said they would immediately let us know when unit was available if before 4 No one called we got to office just before 4 and they had already moved our check in packet to late check in box downstairs. Moving into our unit we walked thru multiple spider webs like no one had been in there for days. Views were not unobstructed as described. Tried to write a review on their site for the unit but site would not allow so be aware of the 4.9 review average for beach and racquet b311 and probably all other reviews on their site

Just back from a wonderful visit to Tybee Island. We stayed 4 days at the Captain's Watch #18. This…read morepenthouse condo is on the top floor, just a few steps from the roof-top swimming pool. Beautiful beach theme decor with high end finishes. It is near the beach, restaurants and shops. Initially we were to stay from 6/23/18 thru 6/30/18. That changed as we were driving to from the airport when we received a text message from Kathee, our property manager, that the air conditioner at our condo, was not working. As we had arrived on a Saturday, the earliest the A/C could be fixed was Monday. I called Kathee who was already working on a resolution. Unbelievably there was a house available at 101 19th Street. This is a 4 story house at the southern tip end of the Island, very near the beach with an ocean view. She personally met us at the house to make sure it would work for us. It was more than we could imagine. I will be doing a separate review on that place as well. So after 3 days we called and the Captain's Watch was air conditioning working fine. We then elected to move to our original destination only because of the swimming pool. We found the pool small but very refreshing. The ocean breezes on the rooftop were so welcomed. We had the best of both of both worlds on our trip and are already planning to go back. Kathee was so amazingly helpful throughout our entire stay. From arranging accommodations at a minute's notice when the A/C went out, to supplying information about the island and more. She was always kind and helpful any time I called her. She really made our 1st trip to Tybee memorable and I will never forget her kindness. We will stay at the Captain's Watch again.

Once that happened, they emailed me the rental agreement and some various information for checking in. I emailed the agreement, but you can also fax or mail. Checking in was a breeze. We stopped by at the lady there had enveloped our key and was about to leave, but she gave it to us. She was very nice! Our condo was easy to find and in the PERFECT location... totally beachfront. For the price, it was a very good deal. I also liked it wasn't too far down the island. We were on the second floor, which wasn't bad at all. Our condo was pretty clean, but the floors turned our feet black so I think they may have had a little dirt leftover. The kitchen was stocked with utensils and dishes for some minor cooking. I would recommend this company, but I wasn't 100% impressed. See below for pros and cons! Pros: LOCATION, friendly staff, the beachfront view, lots of space Cons: Dirty floor, little flying bug infestation (wasn't really bothersome, just annoying), big trash can overflowing right next to steps, no tv in the bedrooms, tv in living room with few channels, and not enough towels (we have six for four people)

The service we experienced was extremely unprofessional and unacceptable. On the day of our…read morearrival, Anthony with Tybee Vacation Rentals called at 11:30am to inform me of a maintenance issue with our reserved home and said he would send alternative options. I agreed without hesitation, understanding that unexpected issues can happen. However, after waiting and receiving no email, I called the office at 12:35pm and was told Anthony was at lunch. I continued waiting, and at 1:21pm finally received an email with only one alternative home. My husband and I reviewed it immediately and responded at 1:32pm confirming it would work as we had already tried to find a different accommodation for our family but nothing was available on the island therefore we had no choice. I received no acknowledgment to my response --no call, no email. At 2:28pm, I called again and was placed on hold before being sent to voicemail. I emailed Anthony once more asking for confirmation. By 3:37pm, still no response. At this point, we were supposed to check in at 4pm but had no address, no entry instructions, and no confirmation that we even had a place to stay. I called again and spoke with Erica, who promised a callback within 15 minutes. By 4:27pm, still nothing. When I called back, an older gentleman answered, and the background noise made it difficult to understand him. After explaining the situation, he attempted to transfer me to Anthony. I waited on hold for about two minutes before Anthony finally answered and asked if we were okay with the option he sent--despite multiple calls and emails confirming this hours earlier. He blamed their system for being slow and placed me on hold again to finalize the booking. I waited 55 minutes on hold before he returned with the address and entry code. He offered one insincere apology that felt more sarcastic than genuine, as if assisting us past closing time was an inconvenience to him. At no point were we offered compensation, a discount, or any acknowledgment of the significant disruption to our first day of vacation. We finally entered the home around 5:40pm--frustrated, hungry, and exhausted after a six‑hour drive and an afternoon spent trying to confirm we even had a place to stay. Had there been another available property that could accommodate my family, I would have requested a refund and booked elsewhere. This was by far our worst experience in Tybee Island. I would not recommend this business, and I do not plan to book with them again. This entire experience made the whole trip blah as we were not in the original home we booked close to the beach and had to drive to the beach from the new location as it was much further out and was just nothing like we expected our trip to be.Once we returned home I reached out to Bookings customer service team and told them about the experience we had and requested a refund as I had paid nearly $1500 to not get to stay in a home I had booked. I was emailed back in 48 hours stating the accommodation had agreed to give me a refund of $150. This was a sarcastic gesture and that $150 did not even cover a one day stay that was taken from my vacation due to waiting around for the company to respond to me nor did it cover the amount of money we had to spend on parking due to being moved. I have since responded to that email and asked that either booking or the business make this right. I am hoping that this happens. I have used booking for many years and many of my stays but if this is not made right I will no longer use the booking platform.

The unit we rented is really nice and kept very clean. It is very nicely decorated and is stocked with pots, pans, utensils and free WiFi. The unit sleeps six people easy and the hall closet was very cleverly converted in to bunk beds for kids. The unit is on the third floor so we have a good view of the water. There is a nice sized pool with a gazebo and chairs, tables and to the side a small kiddie pool. At the end of the building on each floor is the laundry room As I mentioned, the outside looks dreary and run down. The color is not cheerful. I was actually worried when we drove up through the gate. The waterway isn't a beach you might be accustomed to such as Daytona or Malibu beach. It is a beach along where the river meets the Atlantic ocean. There are tons of shells and signs warning you of water hazards and i am assuming the water isn't good for water sports. There are swamps nearby and dozens of different sized waterways. It is a wonder how they built giant forts here during the 1700's. Everything appears to be below sea level. Over all it is nice. I am still a wee bit worried about the high crime rate in Savannah. People have told us to stay in the historic district and to avoid the residential and industrial areas. We happened to drive through an area I can only describe as the projects. However downtown looks really nice and we are looking forward to visiting some museums. (edit) The room we stayed in was exactly like the pictures online. I feel for those who got a bad room but if you are looking for a inexpensive room ours was 309A, the east building. This room was really sweet for the price. I figured out that this place is actually more of a staging area for fishing and sight seeing. People make use of the pool and maybe a walk on the beach, but swimming is out of the question. In the mornings if you get up early, before the tide starts to recede, you can go shell hunting. If you are lucky you'll find something good brought in from the tide.
