I don't like leaving reviews like this but this place has no business being open. Where do I start? 1. Nothing is sanitary. The tools were reused with multiple people. The exfoliator pad she used on my feet was dirty. The towels used had holes in them. I'll be shocked if my toe doesn't get infected. 2. They talk about the customers in another language if the customers aren't overly enthused with what they are doing. 3. The work is sloppy and inadequate. They literally put the wrong color on my nails. I was too tired and wanted out of there to argue. My pedicure was the worst pedicure I have ever had and I have gotten a lot of pedicures. The calluses are still very present on my heels and toes. She actually said I should come back in two weeks. Do not come here. I left zero tip and am planning on contesting the charges. read more

Worst nail salon I have ever been to in my life. I asked for a fill and they only did a color change. All of my nails are uneven. My cuticles look awful and they only spent about 10 minutes working on my nails. Did not attempt to fix the mistakes after I asked them to very politely. Extremely unprofessional. read more

I was very satisfied with the outcome of my nails. The new owners are doing a great job! She went above and beyond in providing me with with a stellar outcome on my tips. I'm super picky and am new to this area and trying out many salons to fit the quality that I am used to. This place did a great job doing so. The only complaint that I have was that I was charged a bit more because my natural nails were longer....I have not experienced this before. Normally, as long as they didn't need to put on tips for broken nails or extensions, there was no additional charge on dip...but I was caught off guard being charged more for my nails being long. read more

Dirty, overpriced, the main nail tech is so rude. My dip nails got ruined after 1 day. I've had dip on my nails for 2+ years and have never had that happen. I got acrylics done by Tony, he was very rude. He kept shaking his head and scoffing at little things I did like not putting my hand far enough into the UV light and relaxing my hands too much or not enough. He was rushing me and when I reminded him that this is my first time getting acrylics and I didn't know much about this he displayed no change in behavior. TY Nails is under new management, so I thought I'd give them a try. I went in for the deluxe pedicure and it was heaven! Lily was my tech. She was friendly and fun, and she did an excellent job on feet that were overdue for a pedicure. On top of the regular pedicure, the deluxe offers a foot mask, a calf and foot sugar scrub and a calf and foot hot rock massage. I was not rushed through this at all, which was one of the perks. The place I used to go to always seemed to hurry everything, so I appreciated this. I highly recommend! read more

I could go into a very long reason of why not to come here but they have already wasted enough of my money and time. I gave it two shots and I ended up with a toenail infection. Visiting grand haven and needed a mani pedi quick before attending a wedding. They got 3 of us right in, on a Saturday, it was clean and sanitary, the massaging pedicure chairs were nice and not broken (usually in other nail salons one or two of the chairs don't work), and they did a great job. Dirty salon. Terrible customer service!! - I took my two girls for mani-pedi on a whim so did not have an appointment. When we arrived, I asked whether they could accommodate us ( I would fully understand if that was no due to there being three), but they told us 20 minute wait. We sat where asked to only to find nail powder all over the chairs I am kicking myself for not walking out right then. Once our services began, everything was rushed. I paid for three $35 sugar scrub pedi which comes with a 'reflexology massage'. She literally took 2 minutes to put the scrub on and rinse it right back off again. Then, she told me she only had time for two manicures. While painting one daughters nails, she gave my oldest a cotton ball with remover and told her to remove her own nail polish. Barked at her from across the room to come get her own color ( no sandals or help with shoes). Then got angry with her because she only removed the old polish off one hand and didn't know which colors were gel. I would have never put up with this usually, but was extending a little grace given COVID and us not being scheduled. While waiting, I watched them charge a lady's credit card twice and tell her they didn't know how to void the second transaction, then tell her to call her bank on her own. When it was my turn to pay, they had no paper for the credit card machine and tried to do the same to me. Luckily I had my bank app up and was able to show them the transaction. I heard that this salon was good but I beg to differ. Took 2 hours to get my nails done and I just got acrylics. When I called they told me my appointment was at 10. I showed up and they were not even open yet and they tried to say my appointment was at 10:30. On top of all that they messed up some nails and it was definitely not worth $50. read more

This used to be my go to place for my nails but since they have new owners and all the nail techs have changed, it's no longer a place I feel welcome. The new staff did a satisfactory job on my nails but they are as friendly as a salt water crocodile! nobody said a word to me except to find out what I wanted and to tell me my total. There were no smiles or friendly conversation. When asked where Jessica and Diane went, they simply said "Holland". I even saw them turn customers away because they asked about the previous employees. They have upgraded the interior and all the equipment is new but the staff makes it a cold and unwelcoming place to be! read more

ive spent the last 45 minutes crying over these nails. i asked for 5 shades of brown, regular polish, coffin tip with a matte coat. i showed the guy the picture of what i wanted at least 15 times and even asked him to help me find the colors and he made me find them on my own. i've never seen such crooked/demented nails. it looks like a 4 year old painted them and he was rude and not helpful at all. i was holding back tears the entire time and everytime i said something about them he said they looked good. there isn't even a matte top coat. when i went to pay it ended up being $60 when the sign said $30 because they put shellac polish on when i never even asked for it. my boyfriend went in to ask for a refund and they said if i come back tomorrow they will fix it. i don't see any fixing when they're so misshaped. i'm so embarrassed and will never be going back again. i'm not sure how you see brown nails and decide to use purple/pink. worst nail place ever. read more

Bad customer service, the man who did my nails was rude and unfriendly. I requested acrylic nails but he continuously hassled me to have gel for more money. Their prices on the board are misleading as my nails ended up costing $30 more than they should have, despite him promising to give me a $5 discount. I showed him a picture of what I wanted which included one nail with small basic flower design and he didn't tell me until after he had done most of my nails and I stopped him to correct him, that he cannot do nail art despite the price board saying they can, and I had already showed him a picture of what I wanted beforehand which he agreed to. He argued with me about colour and would not give me the shade I wanted when he ignored my colour choice as he thinks "this one looks better" even though it's different to the picture and to the nail colour I specifically chose from their varnish options. The length and shape were not the same as the photo even though I continuously showed him the reference photo. He didn't consult me about length before cutting my nails down. I was really unimpressed by his pushy and argumentative attitude and highly recommend any future customers find a different nail salon. read more

I came here with friends and family to get our nails done prior to my wedding in Grand Haven. We called ahead to make an appointment and were assured our entire group would be serviced at the same time. This was not the case and they only had 4 technicians working. While the salon itself is clean and up to date, the man who appeared to be in charge was awfully rude. They do not have OPI or Essie brands for no chip- although they have Essie colors listed, they are actually a knock off brand that is not exact. We kept asking if they had a certain color and all he did was drop the rings of no chip samples in front of us and say, "look". One woman in our group was not satisfied with her no chip manicure that was the Essie knock off and asked to get a regular manicure instead.
