But yeah, I'm copy and pasting from my Google review. Me and boyfriend were looking for a good piercing and tattoo place. I'm not originally from this area, so I'm always a bit weary looking for Queer friendly places, so it's awesome to find a spot like this that I can get regular tattoo work done, and my boyfriend loves his double helixes. In a conservative town, it really does mean something for the owner to come out and say that his shop is Queers safe and welcoming, and Booker is open about being Queer herself, and sadly it is still needed for people to be that outward about it to be totally sure the people are cool if me and my guy are going somewhere as a couple. I have to say, we lingered because Gil and Booker had us laughing so hard, dude gets you out of left field. Going to try his recs for Mexican and antique stores (I trust someone from San Antonio). Lots of places have good artists and professional piercing (they really do), but this is by far the friendliest and most welcoming place I've been to, having lived in Austin and San Antonio. We even treated ourselves to shirts, probably because Gil let us look at his zines and it was a pristine collection, so we needed a souvenir.
