My wife and I wanted to visit one of her Dad's favorite places to eat: The Mohawk Tavern…read more I ordered their Fried Shrimp Poboy and she ordered a bowl of their Gumbo. The shrimp Poboy featured 6 huge shrimp! I loved it! It was lightly seasoned and the shrimp were perfectly cooked and juicy. My wife's gumbo was very peppery, she knew that it would be from previous visits and she wasn't disappointed. She told me she would be able to eat only one or two spoonfuls at a time before taking a drink. But she ate the whole bowl! The decor is vintage. There are all kinds of Budweiser mobiles and pub mirrors on the walls. There was even a vintage cigarette vending machine with pull knobs for each selection! The machine was not in use but it was still fun to see.

Needed a good but quick lunch so I can get back in the road and YELP lead me to here …read more.. As soon as I walked in the service was above and beyond , walked me through the beers(I didn't get any being I'm driving ) and the food and made my decision easier The place inside has some cool photos and paintings and when I mentioned that to the bartender , she gave me a lesson on the general in photo as well as how the flying tigers came about (loved it ) I ordered a pepperoni pizza with extra fresh and shredded mozzarella, took photos then hit the road . If you need a nice place to sit and chat with friends and family and enjoy a cold lager and food , this is it for sure.

We made the fastest pizza stop ever here on our drive home from Florida…read more I knew the pizza I wanted, ordered it at the counter right when we walked in because I couldn't find a phone number to call ahead. (Do you take call ahead orders?) Bummed I couldn't order ahead since we were in a hurry but it was very easy and quick to order at the counter, pizza was out in less than eight minutes. (It was slow at the time, so I'm assuming that helped). I asked for a to go box right away and we ate 2 slices, packed and left. We were in and out in about 20 minutes. I'm an IPA drinker and the one beer they were out of was their IPA. This was a bummer. I would have loved to have tried it. I would have bought a single can but they also don't sell singles (maybe they aren't allowed to do so) The pizza was delicious. Really, really good, and I'm a pizza snob. Just the right amount of cheese, enough basil, tasty sauce, great crust and well cooked. the one negative was it was too salty. It wasn't just salty cheese or salty sauce, it tasted like the entire pizza had salt on top of it. I like salt so this didn't ruin it for me, but I was pretty surprised how salty it was and would specifically request less salt (if possible) next time. The pizza is delicious, definitely don't need to make it this salty so if adding extra salt on top you can X that! I loved the atmosphere. Very clean and well lit, with a good amount of TVs but not too many. Comfortable seats well spaced. Cool outdoor space. The staff was very friendly. We will definitely stop again!

This was such an enjoyable experience!…read more The wine vineyards are beautifully planted along the rolling hills. We participated in the wine taste testing at the venue area. They have a vast selection of different wine flavors for everyone to choose from. I especially enjoyed the kiwi strawberry and chocolate raspberry wines. We also ordered the flatbread pizza and cheese / fruit plate. The food was a great pair with the wine. The tour was a few hours long and very informative. The owner took us around the grounds and showed the process in the wine making. We stayed at the Airbnb located on the vineyard grounds. It is a tiny house, but is very cozy and clean. I highly recommend visiting to taste the wine and experiencing the tour. The owners are very nice and appreciative of their loyal customers.
