All of that aside, we had coffees in hand when we walked in for our early morning appointment and out of all the places we went to that weekend I think this one was tied for best overall experience. The first thing I loved, aside from the chic urban setting, was that each bride had her own dressing area that felt very private and despite other women using other areas of the shop our area felt very much ours, and we never even saw another bride which made the pacing relaxed. How the fittings work here is they take the bride to be to the back to pick out styles and learn a bit more about what she's looking for and then they come back and pull back a large curtain so the bride has privacy while dressing, they then reveal and you get a chance to talk through each look. The room was just as pretty as the dresses, it was comfortable, and we had a fun time. You should note that if you come with a drink like we did you will have to table them outside the room, which honestly made sense since we're dealing with some expensive gowns. Overall this wasn't the shop that my sister ended up picking a dress from but everyone was so kind, the dresses absolutely gorgeous and the ambiance so cool, this is a great shop and I'd recommend to anyone I know looking to buy a wedding dress.

I reached out to them and told them the truth, that I had already purchased the dress in California (where I'm getting married) but wanted to be able to have some other members of my family in KC be able to see the dress, so I was hoping to do an accessory appointment / veil shopping at Bride. My mom has already booked a flight from CA to KC for a Friday to Sunday trip (which I told them), and asked if I would be able to get a Saturday morning appointment. They proceeded to tell me that they only do accessory appointments on Tuesday-Thursdays. Odd, but I was hoping with an explanation of my situation, they might be willing to make an exception - they did not. They said that Saturday mornings are reserved strictly for first time bridal appointments, and there was nothing they could do about my scheduling issues, since they only have 2 stylists and not a lot of availability. Mind you, if I had told them that I had not bought the dress already and snagged that first time bridal appointment, and pretended I would be buying it from them, there would not be an issue, but I always like to be honest with people - and they don't care! They said there is absolutely nothing they can do, it is their policy. Mind you, veils are not cheap!!! It's not like I was asking for 3 hours of their time to go in and buy a $50 bracelet... I wanted an hour to be able to try on the dress and some different accessories and veils, and I was more than willing to give them my business, because shop small right! NO. They said for accessory appointments they can only book me on a Tuesday-Thursday and I only get 30 minutes... 30 minutes is all you can give me when I'm about to spend $$$$ on accessories for the dress? AND they're only open until 6... So you're telling me I need to come straight from work (30 minutes away) where I already feel gross and not in the mood to be happy and excited and I better make a decision in 30 minutes? I understand that there are rules, and that they can run their business however they want, but I was so disenchanted with the whole thing and their utter lack of leniency that even though they're the only store that has the dress in KC, I will not be giving them my business. They were not overtly rude to me, but my favorite thing about shopping local, and shopping small is that they usually are able to bend the rules and help you out since they are the ones in charge. Apparently, Bride does not feel this way. So word to the wise - only ever tell them you are doing a first time bridal appointment if you want them to actually help you and treat you well.

My non-profit contracted Posh & Prim's event design and planning services for a foundation reception we held at our annual convention. Erika, worked with me exclusively, supported by Paige to curate a phenomenal event. My organization was fortunate enough to contract them early enough that they ended up saving our event from its original location. Her team began working for us before we officially signed and she was an angel. Perhaps the most valuable thing we did was work with their firm because they ended up bringing us to our new location and helped us source all lighting and décor vendors. We worked directly with Erika and her team managed all vendors for the event which allowed us to focus our attention elsewhere as there were many moving parts. Being able to leverage her local vendor relationships kept the event on and under budget as well as gave our foundation partners a world class experience. Our goal was to host an upscale event within our budget - needless to say, we succeeded! Erika's event design, from floral arrangements and lighting, to my favorite enhancement--the hanging acrylic buffet went above and beyond our imagination of what our event could be! She often took initiative and created a robust blueprint for the space and over-delivered on her contractual obligations (i.e. stage area for speakers, designated wall space for slide shows, etc). We weekly touch-points leading up to the event and even daily check-in as we got to the week of the event, and she was always available for our random needs in between times. Having us a client was not an easy undertaking but Posh & Prim never wavered in their professionalism and continued support and interest in providing us with all that we desired for our event. Erika, in particular, welcomed all ideas and was extremely accommodating. She also provided a level of comfort that made the planning process smooth since we are not local to Kansas City. Came to get my daughter's wedding dress and my gown for final fitting. She had the wrong wedding…read moredress hanging up and told her to try it on. I said "that's not her dress" she mixed them up. Founds hers... then had to find mine as she did not have it out. Wedding bustle was askew and I made her fix since three inches off center. Then when it came time to try my gown on it was too tight even though I had not gained an inch. It was a stressful experience and I do not recommend.
