Such a cute store nestled under large oak trees. They have a small store areas with local goods as soon as you walk in. You can see the hustle and bustle of the staff making cookies. They have a small display of their cutout cookies and cute baskets of other baked goods & cookies (chocolate chip, monster, peanut butter, sugar, oatmeal, etc.). The staff is always friendly and quick to service you. I'm personally obsessed with their cutout cookies! They are always soft and freshly made. I've loved Two Smart Cookies for years! Every cookie I've eaten from their bakery I've enjoyed. They have many different kinds, from classic chocolate chip to their signature "Two Smart cookie". And yes their namesake is delicious & low fat too! They are located off of white bluff, on hood street. Basically when you see Baldinos get ready to turn right. Their building is hard to miss. It's a large two story house with a decent sized parking lot. Once you enter you get that wafting cookie smell, that is everything! I love the smell of bakeries. All of their cookies are beautifully displayed in a glass case or large glass jars. They also have drinks too if you need something to quench your thirst after sugar. And yes, there is a restroom to the left of the register next to a small table for children to eat at. I'm a huge fan of their sugar cookie with icing & the two smart cookie. Those two are my faves. The sugar cookies come in different sizes & are decorated differently. It depends on the cookie cutter that was used. They have a gluten free option. And one gluten/diary free option, the macaroon. It's yum too! The staff consists of mainly women. I do love female power! All of the ladies are friendly & can help you with what you need. You can pick up one cookie and go, or a few dozen! It's up to you. They also do custom orders. I recently ordered dog paw prints in blue with little candy sugar paw pads for a party! They were adorable. I'm torn with what to write because the old Two Smart was my favorite cookie in this country but then the new owners took over and changed the recipe - maybe not what's in the cookie but certainly how long the cookies need to cool before they are iced and certainly not the Mom & Pop pride the previous Owners had- these Owners whether on site or not do not have friendly people working for them- I'd go so far as to say rude actually both in person and over the phone. IS there business crushing it so much they can be rude? Their website says they take pride in their hand crafted cookies- but do they? I recommend some Customer Service School for the whole gang and not to have to wait 24/48 hours for cookies to bake, cool, frost before shipping. The old Two Smart cookies would stay fresh for days- not this version. You are welcome for the constructive criticism- hopefully it will have an impact and your customers will be better served. read more

I should start by saying, I am a Cookie Monster. It's my biggest weakness in life and I would be fine only eating cookies for breakfast everyday... who am I kidding? That's exactly what I do. I have been so excited to try two smart cookies because of the rave reviews. I wanted to like them so bad. I got 6 different ones- the chocolate meringue style, chocolate chip, chocolate chip toffee, monster, vegan chocolate chip, and an iced sugar cookie. They were all a dry crumbly mess. Over baked. Usually my family fights over the cookies and after a few days the box is still sitting there with one bite taken out of each and left. Even my toddlers didn't want anything to do with them. Crazy enough, the vegan one was the best because it didn't crumble to a million pieces when you bite into it... Maybe I went on an off day? Not worth it for me to try again, that's for sure. The colorfully-iced shortbread come in various shapes & sizes & are quite thick without being over- or under-cooked. They have a slight almond flavor for a special taste if you like almond. This is the BEST bakery I have ever ordered from. I had to order over 100 cookies for my office employees, and I am currently a few hours away from Savannah. Their customer service was so helpful and I was able to order 25 packs of 4 cookies (including a custom frosted cookie) in just a few minutes, and they had them baked, bagged, shipped, and delivered within 3 days. They arrived in perfect condition and taste great. I was worried they would be crushed or dry, but aside from a few lose crumbs, these are some of the best cookies I've ever had. Look, my cousin swears by these cookies! She said she comes once a week to load up on their treats. Her words were specifically "they must put drugs in them". Well.... These are some pretty darn good cookies!!! BUT I bought a bag of chocolate covered pecans from this bakery. And they were BY FAR THE BEST CANDIES I HAVE EVER ATE! I took them back to Chicago with me. They were demolished in a few days. I went to try to find some in my area, nothing like these. Bummer. This is the most darling little bakery that I ever stepped foot in (and believe me I've been in my share!) Tucked away in a little white "house" across the street from one of the entrances to Hunter Army Base. This bakery is woman owned and operated (I loved that) And the best and most important part...the best cookies EVER! My daughter had told me about this place and said that very sentence, but I thought she was exaggerating. Nope, they really are the best cookies EVER! My favorites are a toss-up between the White Chocolate & Macadamia Nut and the Oatmeal/Craisin/Toffee. I bought two dozen assorted to bring home. $10.00 a dozen, which seems a little expensive, but believe me, worth every penny! The sugar cookies come in all kinds of little cute shapes, seahorses, turtles, etc. You enter the doorway and are treated to a little gift shop, with handmade totes, purses, jewelry and little gift /souvenir items. But not too over the top. The woman helping us was so nice. My daughter made an extra stop to show me this bakery before she dropped me off at the airport (in the other direction). I asked how the cookies "would keep?" The woman (i didn't get her name) found out I was traveling by plane and extra wrapped/sealed my boxes so they would stay fresh! Every time I have a work event I always order my cookies from these ladies. I love how fun and colorful the cookies are and I always have them individual wrap them with their sticker on the back. I can't personally taste them.. Not gluten free but everyone always tells me they are delicious. Oh, wow...... It is a bit pricey be forewarned....... try about $6.50 for a half dozen. But oh my is it so good. We even asked to sample various cookies and they broke them apart and placed them on a platter for us so we weren't buying them blindly. In the back thy had about a half dozen old ladies decorating the various cookis they sell, and just watching them I could tell it was women who not only loved their job, but they took pride in their job as well. Imagine your grandmother and 5 of her friends at the beauty shop having a good time. Well that is what this reminded me of, but instead of smelling chemical treatments and gossiping, they were making cookies instead. Pure greatness. read more

Their iced cookies are both. The white chocolate macadamia drop cookies are my favorite. But all of them are good. Really really. Even the reduced bags of day old cookies are good. BTW- if you want a special item, order it in advance and have it personalized for yourself. Like a iced cookie with your wedding colors or a little yellow duck for a shower treat. It's 1:30pm and I just called and spoke to a pleasant young woman who was very polite but not helpful. I am a pharmaceutical rep calling on Veterinarians and I have found that they love Two Smart Cookies. The cookies are great - no complaints there. I asked to order 6 dozen cookies at $15 a box to be picked up tomorrow morning for my trip this week and she checked and said that due to the "rush job" I would be charged a $5 fee. I explained to her I bought 6 dozen last week and literally walked in and bought them on the spot. It's not the $5 it's the fact that I had planned on buying 6-10 dozen every week for the year and I thought the fee was ridiculous. I told the person that I refused to pay the fee and I would have to go somewhere else" and she just said "well that's the policy". If I could give them a negative I would. My entire family have been doing business with two smart cookies since they opened the 1st store. This Christmas is the last time I will ever buy anything from them. Not only were the Christmas staff unhelpful but they were careless. None of my orders were even sent out. But I sure got charged for them! It may be just a cookie but to us it was a family tradition that the grandparents started. It was an unnecessary screw up that caused a lot of harm to small children that lay awake Christmas Eve thinking Santa was going to be disappointed in the cookies and not leave as good gifts as he would have if we continued the tradition. Yummm! I liked the sugar, ginger, and chocolate chip cookies. I loved the jewelry. The iced cookies have almond flavoring- so beware if you don't like almond. My mom does, so she loved it. Me on the other hand have never liked almond flavoring so that is just a preference thing. The ladies that work there were nice and explained that they ship all over the country so we can order them for my mom's company all the way in Seattle. The packaging is very cute and they have samples so you don't blindly buy. I wanted the short bread but they didn't have any other then they day olds (which taste great btw and are a great deal if you are on a budget.) I think they are fairly priced and are a very nice treat, I wish there was a location in Seattle. I left my chocolate chip cookie in the car on accident and it warmed up so it was even better since the chocolate was melty! YUM! read more
