While on my way to pick up family and head to the Rivermarket on a Saturday morning, I discovered Two Sisters Cafe. Parking was easy since they have ample parking. Upon entering I knew it was going to take a while to decide what I wanted because they have EVERYTHING! Pre-made frozen and refrigerator meals, pastries, food , coffee and ice cream! The people were super friendly and extra accommodating. The place was very clean and spacious. Of course I ordered my staple ice vanilla latte, which came out a little too sweet for me so they adjusted it for me. Everything....EVERYTHING was good! We were in town early and decided to give this place a try because we had always heard it was so good. Everything we heard was true. Reminds me of Southern soul food, especially the greens and the sweet potato casserole. I had the roast beef Monday special, my wife had Chicken tenders, and my daughter had a grilled cheese sandwich. We finished up with a piece of chocolate cake and everything is top-notch. Ordered pancakes, eggs, bacon and hashbrown. $15.00. Got one egg, one piece of bacon, one pancake. McDonald's style hasbrown. Had to ask for syrup, butter. They gave me a square of syrup and butter. Updating previous review. Changed it from 4 to 5 stars. The coffee was weak and I did not like it, but I like strong coffee so most diner coffees are too weak for me. Ordered an iced Mocha latte instead and that was very sweet but much better. This time I had the ham and cheese croissant, which was huge! And a side of cheese grits, very good. Ate dinner here today. I had the chicken fried chicken, sweet potatoes and green beans. Mine was very good. My better half had the burger and fries and it were good but not great. Food is pretty good. Menu is extensive with home cooking (comfort food) entrees and sides, salads, sandwiches and soups. Place also sells coffee and has lots of bake goods for sell. It has the feel of a coffee shop and bakery that also has a full food menu. The setup is you go up to the front to place and pay for your food. You get a number to put on your table and they bring the food out to you. They take cash and plastic, and let you tip from the iPad they are using. The place is very clean, including the restrooms. In fact, the restroom (at least the mens) is dump worthy with little chance of catching anything. Overall, recommend. read more

The owner needs to make some changes soon! This place has sadly gone downhill, they need new management, new staff across the board. They used to be a local favorite for us not just because of their food but also their service, but they have sadly declined so much that we will be taking our business elsewhere. They constantly lie about availability, and seem to be more concerned about not cooking things that they see as an inconvenience to them rather than customer service. We gave them multiple chances and every time they encountered some kind of issue taking our order when we placed something they didn't already have piled up in the back for the day, although it was available on their menu. The staff is also very unprofessional, I've gotten better service at fast food restaurants. read more

My wife and I always ask ourselves "Why do we come back to this place?". Benefit of the doubt I guess. Every time we have come here the service has been abysmal, like they (the staff) seem so miserable to be there. It shows in everything they do. The food is alright sometimes. The chicken is hand breaded so that's good but then you get something like the biscuits and gravy and it is obviously the fake gravy that comes pre made. The coffee tastes fake, too much syrups. Two Sisters Cafe is one of my most favorite restaurants! The staff members are always so friendly even when the restaurant is super busy. Parking can be a bit limited at times as they get pretty busy during rush times. Everything is so delicious! Two Sisters is my go to place for Birthday cakes & anytime I have a sweet tooth craving. They keep a variety of cakes & sweet available all the time so you can still stop by if you havent ordered ahead. Yes, the Ding Dong cake lives up to the hype! So yummy! All I can say is wow. The food is normally good, which is the only thing keeping this from being a 1 star. We placed a to-go order. Waited more than 30 min in the dining room, checking once on when it would be ready. The employee said "I didn't know it was ready, it was in the hot box." Stating our dissatisfaction that the food is now overcooked from being in the "hotbox", the employee said with an incredibly sarcastic tone, "Didn't you hear me when I said it's been in the hotbox?" Us: "Yes, and now it's overcooked." Employee: "You want me to make you another one?" Us: "no, we are already 30 minutes late to where we are having lunch." Employee: "then you have a good day!" It's apparent they have no idea how to deal with problems when running a restaurant. One of the dishes was salmon, and it was overdone and rubbery.
