He confirmed my suspicions and suggested an alternative setting. Here's the best part: I had brought in a bag of random loose diamonds with me that I had been accumulating over the last several years. In addition to the stones already in my original (flawed) wedding band, he was able to sell/trade all of these diamonds in order to provide me with TWO identical wedding bands! And, he did so at an unheard of low price! The rings are spectacular! If that wasn't enough, as a bonus he took a diamond necklace of mine that had been sitting in my jewelry box (unworn) for 2 decades and transformed it into a stunning set of diamond hoop earrings!
