If you have never been to this quaint ice cream shop, you are missing out! It is an adorable shop with a small town feel in the heart of Anoka. They use Chocolate Shoppe ice cream which is absolutely scrumptious. The freezer includes house made ice cream sandwiches and cakes as well as pints to go. There are 28 flavors to choose from and the staff explained how flavors rotate each month. They serve hand made waffle cones but also have gluten free options. Sundaes, shakes, and floats are available as well. Then there is the wall of popcorn and locally bottled soft drinks. So much to choose from that you have no choice but to come back. Oh, and the staff....the lady that waited on us was just a doll! Offered samples and advice - all while making us feel like we were just sitting in her kitchen. She was truly a delight! read more

Me and my family always bike here! It's in a great location! They have tons of flavors, this time I got black cherry oat! It was perfect refreshment to bike home! I was craving something sweet and decided to give this place a try! Spoiler alert: I recommend this place haha Unlike some of the other ice cream shops in the area the selection of ice creams to choose from was smaller than what I have seen. However, they had popcorn, candy, fun sodas and a freezer with treats, which was more well rounded than other spots I've been to! The ice cream was very good! I got their sundae of the week and they did not hold back on the hot fudge!! Delish!! They have different types of cones and sizes of bowls. They have some toppings and my son really enjoyed the gummy bears! I also appreciated the "kids scoop" since my boys don't always finish larger portions. There were 2 tables to sit at inside and benches/ picnic tables outside to enjoy your treats! My one major complaint was the ordering system or should I say lack there of? A line had been formed but the orders were being taken from anyone who would speak up and not in the order of who was in line. It made it very chaotic. I think it was because there are 2 cases of ice cream and people wanted to see both cases before committing to a flavor. It would be great if they had them posted up somewhere so people knew :) Overall, this was a fun spot and I can definitely see bringing my boys back here this summer! read more

We like this brand of ice cream. It's delicious and they have great flavor options. The ice cream was extremely soft. I get it sometimes happens to some flavors but it seemed as if the freezers needed to be turned up a bit or the heat down. The inside has very limited space to sit. It was a beautiful fall day and we enjoyed the outside tables available. On Saturday, December 2nd, 2017, I attempted the Tornado Sundae Challenge at Two Scoops in Anoka, MN. 20 scoops of ice-cream, hot fudge, whipped topping, and cherries. The previous record was 12:04. It is now 8:30! My favorite flavor was the "Snap O Lantern." It's a spicy pumpkin flavored ice cream with huge pieces of ginger snap cookies. Such a great combination! Nice little ice cream shop in Anoka! When I came, it was a nice summer day and we decided we wanted to get some ice cream and walk by the river. It is relatively easy to get to. There are a few parking options in Anoka very close to Two Scoop. The shop is so cute! You walk in and you feel like your in a homemade ice cream shop. There are options for sitting down inside which is nice. The ice cream here is awesome. I got their rich chocolate dark flavor and it was soft and creamy and very rich. I was not disappointed! It did melt very fast when we went outside to walk to the park by the river. It was so soft and melted fast. The prices are a little expensive, but it is homemade ice cream and well worth it! I like this place. They have ice cream. Lots of flavors of ice cream. AND they let you try some flavors to help me decide just what I want...and how many different scoops of it to boot. The line moves fairly quickly on a hot summer night and have really yummy fresh waffle cones to house those delicious scoops. They also have some in house made cookie ice cream sandwiches and ice cream drumstick that I'm always eyeballing and telling myself that I REALLY should try them this time...but never seem to get thru the line without ending up with a double scoop cone. Amazing flavor selection and service. Parking is easy to find as it's right across from the parking ramp in downtown Anoka. First off this ice cream shop is located in a quaint little old fashioned downtown which is precisely where any good ice cream shop will be found. Brownie point #1. #2 The staff were friendly and quick even with it being a Saturday, summers eve in downtown Anoka. #3 when my husband walked out with that oozing chocolatey ice cream cone my eyes about bulged out of my head. It was a lot of ice cream! #4 OH MY GOSH. That chocolate peanut butter cup ice cream was the best I've ever had. It was soft but not too soft (besides the fact it was warm out so yes it did drip a bit but that's obvious). The peanut butter was delicately infused in the milky chocolate ice cream with some pieces of the peanut butter cup every few bites without being too prominent. Hubby and I shared-- it was a lot of ice cream! It was my first time here, and for a smallish shop they offer a good selection of different flavors. I'm always drawn to cheesecake ice cream because of the bits of Graham cracker/crust that are usually mixed in it. Their blueberry version was a perfect richness and didn't go overboard on the sweetness. My husband chose the Bourbon Pecan and not being a huge fan of pecans I actually really liked the flavor and texture a lot. We left very satisfied. Finally, I don't have to drive all the way to Uptown or to St. Paul to get some fresh home-made-style ice cream.
